Well, I must say that the 2 year wait of what would be MK8: The answer to all plot holes and the real ending from MKA as promised is a big disapointment!

Why would Boon and Midway risk something ike this for a more "serious, back to its roots, darker, gorier game" as promised. Something cannon that pretty much all of the loyal fans have been waiting for and with high hopes of something really awesome being created.

Why if it was going to be a non cannon game would they kill off all of MK's legendary characters and storylines off for when they are making a vs game going against DC and although crappy, but legendary characters with their backstories attached to their name?

I dont know...I look forward to seeing the new looks of Scorpion and Sub-Zero suince they are the supposed only characters coming back...but heres to at least seeing a lot more of the MK originals updated now.

Hopefully the try to get a little creative with the DC characters...but I highly doubt any of them will be seeing new costumes designed by DC/Midway together. :( That would be pretty awesome.

If ever an MK VS game..I think we all know it should have been MK vs SF. But I seriously wanted a cannon MK8.

I've been a huge MK fan since 1992, this is the #1 HUGE HUGE HUGE dissapointment of my gaming life. MK: Deception was a disapointment( For me at least). MK: A was ok, but I thought if the MK team would have worked with the fighting aspect it could have been better than MK: DA. The MK really needed more new stuff to the fighting to make it stand out from the last two MKs.

MK doesn't need outside characters to stop the storyline. Having DC characters in MK8 is like saying what if , in other words it doesn't matter 2 or 3 MK games later.

I'm sure the MK team put together a great fighting engine for next gen, but waiting 2-3 years for a Mortal Kombat game that won't matter in the overall , is so errrrrrr. When it comes to MK all I care about is MK. I wait every 2-3 years to play MK not only for the (in MK8 case) Blood, fatailies, and most importantly the characters, gameplay, and the storyline that has been set in motion since 1992. Spin off Mortal Kombat games should have been left to the crew that did theShoalin Monk game.

Someone e-mail me when Mortal Kombat 9 or a real Mortal Kombat 8 comes out that is a real sequel to Mortal Kombat. MK team never do this again for the next one, please. signing out for good.............

People haven't even seen the trailer, or any fighting mechanics, and yet they all refuse to buy this game. You know you're gonna buy this game. And scorpio, I though you were done with MK? Why are you still here?

They would kill off all of the Legendary Characters and bring in DC Characters to get a new fanbase.

Boon listened to the fans on the last two games, and the overall opinion it seems is that they sucked, were trash. So he's giving a big Fuck You to the fans and is doing what HE wanted to do....which may be a very bad idea.

But I think this game will be a good game....not a good game to continue the Storyline, but just a fun game.
