overall, Great Smackdown! IMO. which was far better than anything on Raw right now.

Lol, that is up to opinion. Of course, RAW has dissapointed me the past few weeks too. BUt I'll continue to watch both shows, beacuase there is usually at least one thing I will enjoy.

i thought that kurt angle was supposed to be in action this week but theirs no match with him included on the wwe.com results or did i miss it.

i wont get to see SD or Raw till tommorrow (saturday) so i cant give an opinion as yet.

On another note i started reading "To Be The Man" yesterday and am now almost half way through already...not too keen on Ric Flair but this book is helping to change my mind.

I thought Smackdown was ok, but not great. I to enjoyed Raw allot more. Jade2004, Kurt is in action next week. This week he only appeared in two segments with Eddie Guerrero and Teddy Long.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- For those wondering, WWE are really selling off items "from Kurt Angle's office" on WWE.com. Check out WWE.Com if you're interested in placing a bid.

- Brock Lesnar was a guest on yesterday's "The Tony Bruno Morning Extravaganza," which is a Fox Sports radio morning show. Tony Bruno and co-host Andrew Siciliano asked Lesnar the basic football questions about coming into the NFL. Lesnar is already very clichéd in his responses. However when the interview tide turned toward a non-serious wrestling question, Lesnar basically told Bruno that he would end the interview unless the questions were football related. The interview was very boring and after Lesnar was gone, they made some statements that didn't lead you to believe that Lesnar made any sort of good impression on them. My guess is that after he made a fool out of himself in the ESPN piece, he was probably told to tone it way down.

- As reported earlier, talks between Bret Hart and Shane McMahon have recently gone from talks concerning the upcoming Bret Hart DVD to talks between the two parties about a possible return to World Wrestling Entertainment.

Reliable sources close to WWE are telling us that the company actually wants to bring Hart in for things such as autograph signings and special appearances.

The company feels that if Hart agrees to return on a limited basis, he'll want to do even more, which could possibly be the way that WWE is going about attempting to get Bret back in the company and in front of the camera.

With all of the on-screen things that have been going on between Bret Hart and Ric Flair, and you'd have to be completely oblivious not to notice it (such as Lawler reading out quotes from Flair's book on RAW), there is feeling that it is being done in a way to get Bret to want to come back on camera and possibly even turn the current backstage feud between he and Flair into an on-air feud.

Basically, the feeling is that Ric Flair is doing what he is doing in order to attempt to get Hart back in somewhat of a role with WWE, even if it is nothing prominent.

There is sure to be more information regarding this story later this week.

- PWInsider reports that there was backstage sympathy for RVD's status since re-signing with WWE. He is locked with WWE for three more years, but if his extreme lack of a push in recent weeks is a sign of his WWE future, he will not be the happiest person. However, the feeling backstage is that guys like Booker T and RVD, who are clearly underutilized, feel much more secure and comfortable in WWE, where they can invest their checks into their side pockets, as opposed to spending time looking for work on the indy circuit.

Nope. If anything, I've noticed SD has become even more mediocre than before.

Hmmm, I don't really agree with that. But I am happy that we don't have to see Kurt Angle run his mouth as GM anymore.

WWE is going about this all wrong. They want ratings, what do they do? Begin building up new talent? No. Start making good storylines? No. Dissolve Evolution and STOP GIVING TRIPLE H TITLE SHOTS!? No. This is WWE's solution:

BRING IN OLD LEGENDS TO WRESTLE, IT'S SIMPLE, ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS TO KEEP BOTHERING HIM UNTIL HE GIVES IN. I don't like WWE's logic.

Agreed. If Bret does return though, I serioulsy doubt that he'll wrestle. A couple of years ago, he had thought of a return to the ring, but then he had a stroke, so just last year on OTR (in Canada), he stated that if he does return, it'll be in a non-wrestling type of role. A farewell of sorts to all of his fans.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Undertaker Winning WWE Title, Orton/Rock Title Reigns; More:

- Rumors are making their rounds from sources close to WWE that The Undertaker is slated to win the WWE Heavyweight title at some point this year. There is no word on whether Bradshaw will drop the belt to Undertaker at Summerslam, but the word we are hearing right now is that at some point down the road, Taker will have the title again.

- It has been talked about on RAW that Randy Orton's seven month Intercontinental title reign was the longest of the last seven years. In actuality, the last long rein belongs to The Rock, who was given the belt on November 8, 1997 and lost it on August 30, 1998, losing a ladder match to HHH at Madison Square Garden. That's nine and a half months.

Flair-Foley-Hart Update, Benoit/Sabu, Raw Divas; More:

- Chris Benoit tells WWE.com that he doesn't dwell on the match in Japan where he broke Sabu’s neck. "No. At the time, it bothered me a lot, but it doesn't now," he tells WWE.Com. "I did something that is in the past, and it doesn't come across my mind. It was something that happened many years ago, and from that was born 'The Crippler'"

- Regarding the Flair-Foley-Hart controversy, one insider says: "All three of these guys love it. They shoot to the public and media but then smile at themselves in the mirror. All this does is re-affirm that the audience still cares for them which is what performers and athletes live for." Although most think Bret Hart is taking the war of words very seriously, many suspect Foley and Flair are enjoying the attention as much as they are upset by anything that is said.

- According to reports from correspondents at Raw, during the last two weeks, fans in attendance have not shown great interest in Diva Segments, with many heading toward the concourse during those segment.

- Hulk Hogan recently had hip replacement surgery, however is talking as if he could return to the ring. WWE believe that Hogan is one phone call away, but until the Hall of Fame plans get worked out, they won't be making any calls.

- As evidenced, WWE has finally grown comfortable enough with Randy Orton to give the young star a title shot. Although WWE had big plans for Orton all along, it is still interesting to see him headlining Summerslam, instead of HHH who was originally expected to face Benoit.

Despite not being totally evident yet, there are also still plans for a long-term Orton face turn. The feeling is that if he and HHH do face off at WrestleMania as planned, Orton will be the face.

John Cena, who was considered SmackDown's Randy Orton, has not has struggled at the top of the show, in the eyes of management, and is a tier below Orton at this point.

Based on the current Line-up to Summerslam, aswell as the rumor and current feuds going on leading to the event. is anyone going to order the PPV? or do you think its worth ordering? I think some of the potential matches looks pretty good particularly on the SmackDown! side. It looks like they might have Booker T Vs RVD Vs Cena for the US title, and any combination of Kidman/London/Mysterio/Spike/Dudley boyz should be an awesome match at Summerslam.
