Conspiracy theorists are what makes things exciting! lol!
any way, yeah Kennedy never really much had a chance to develop but i wonder how much of that was his own fault? somtimes it's not always the wrestler's fault in that aspect

Uh, Lashley got injured at Backlash in his match involving the McMahons and the angle the following week on Raw where Kennedy injured Lashley's shoulder by kicking the ring steps into it was a work. Cena injured himself hiptossing Kennedy through a combination of being too jacked up for his body's own good and being a fucking idiot with his move execution. Kennedy didn't injure Orton, and from the looks of things, if it was anyone's fault it was Orton's at least as much as Kennedy's.
Three wrongs. Way to go.

Point being if he could flail his wrists the way he was doing, that wouldn't be an injury that would warrant any time off (hell Hardy is wrestling with a much more injured hand).

Kennedy shook his wrists on camera, it absolutely does NOT mean he didn't suffer a small wrist injury the match. Well my injury warranted time off because if I kept training or wrestling with my wrist the way it was, it was bound to get far worse pretty quickly.
And what were they going to do now? Two guys on the same brand with the same broken hand gimmick? Obviously not.

sweet, another voice of logic here. thank you
Throw any excuses you want, Kennedy HAS gotten injured shitloads of times, and if you trust online reports that say Orton had words with Kennedy backstage, then maybe you should also trust new reports that say some people from the roster weren't comfortable working with Kennedy.
I believe neither, for the record.

Kennedy was kind of sloppy, yeah, but I don't remember too many accidents on his part at all. Not that "sloppy" matters at all unless you're dangerous to work with, which Kennedy wasn't. I can't deny he was injury prone though. Motherfucker must've broken a mirror under a ladder of black cats on a cracked sidewalk.

it was good to see kofi win the us title. maybe next in line for the title would be morrison. i think kofi vs morrison feud could be very good with all the high flying material.
i'm probably going to get chewd out for this but good for orton beating up flair. flair asked for this and i hope the same thing happens at extreme rules to batista.

wtf? i think he "almost killed many people" is exaggerating just a bit there. and as for what allegedly did or didn't happen to Bret Hart, most of the Hitman's health problems and his concussion were more to do with the physical tole wrestling took on his body, not just one "incident" in the ring.
any way, just thought i'd share this, there's an online petition to get Kennedy back into the WWE here:
thepetitionsite.com/1/BringBackMrKennedy
of course we all know how Vince is, with enough people who bitched against Kennedy, read more about that here: http://www.twnpnews.com/messages/22255.shtml
we know it's unlikely. fuck'n WWE keeps a loser like Miz around and fired Kennedy, for shame

Well from the online reports, more people had problems with Kennedy than with Miz, so it's a good decision I'm sure.
As for Goldberg... I don't see how he nearly killed anyone, and Bret talks about his injury in depth in his book. Goldberg delivered the "death" blow, but the problems were overdue from previous injuries and lack of rest. If he had taken time off (if WCW had let him take time off, in fact) after his injury, he would've been able to recover to a healthy state.
In the Calgary Sun edition of May 9 2003, Bret says that: "(Goldberg) had a tendency to injure everyone he worked with."
Then maybe he didn't almost killed anybody but Bret(he was in a bad day in though), but he still dangerous for others and he still was out for injuries many times because of lack of experience and technique.

I hope so. It won't make me watch WWE more often, but I do think Masters is a fine talent and I'd enjoy watching him if they'd book him half decently.
I don't see how this is possible because concussions are not the result of accumulative damage, you don't build up damage and develop a concussion. They come instantly as a result of a concussive blow (funnily enough). Bret got badly concussed, and that concussion effectively ended his career. Goldberg threw the careless shot which concussed him. Seems pretty straightforward to me.
But yeah, if Goldberg didn't, somebody else would have soon. That kick was a love tap. Bret would have taken a slight knock like that sooner or later, and when he did it would have concussed him all the same. It doesn't make sense to me to put it down to not resting, but the brain is pretty interesting, sometimes it just seems to degenerate like that for any number of reasons.

I had great, great expectations for Chris Masters and I tried very hard to like him, but I found him to be bad on the microphone and unimpressive in the ring. Not to mention the fact that he was worthless without his steroid-pumped physique. Mark Jindrak was a far superior "masterpiece", boasting a great physique AND great athletic and wrestling ability.
I tried really hard to like him though. I don't see how he could be perceived as awesome by anyone.

I'll admit I always get overly hyped when someone is coming back. But I will concede that Masters was not very good on the mic, certainly not as good as he needed to be with his Masterpiece gimmick anyhow. But I always thought he was a solid competitor in the ring. Nothing outstanding perhaps, but still quite solid.
Regardless, he's only 26. He has a lot of potential left in him. It isn't as if they're signing some older guy who may be on his last legs. This guy, I thought, was legitimately one of the future stars of the WWE. Maybe he still can be now.

i just got wwf no mercy for n64 and it is fun and addictive. i remember renting it but now i own it. so far i created 2 wrestlers. i like it better than the newer wwe games. i don't know if i should get wwf warzone, wwf wrestlemania 2000, wwf attitude though. even though i played those games are they still good.
Agree. Plus as far as "awesome" goes, he smashed Stevie Richards face in with a polish hammer. That was pretty awesome. I maintain that spinning polish hammer should be his main finish, like his equivalent of a lariat. Almost nobody else does them these days, it makes sense given his physique, and most of all, it was just the logical thing to do after he visably destroyed Richards with it. That's how the lariat became feared; Hansen legitimately broke Sammartino's neck and attributed it to his lariat, everyone played it up, and the most widespread devestating finisher in the world was born. WWE were stupid not to do the same with Masters after that debut match imo.
acidslayer, I don't know how much you know about Wrestlemaina 2000, but it's basically the precursor to No Mercy. It's not really worth getting unless you really like Blue Meanie and Naked Mideon.

as someone who owns them all, they're worth buying. i'm a fan of all WWF/WWE wrestling games
ok, so, someone on another board recently posted about getting a Japanese Hogan "Ichiban" DVD set. does anyone know where i could score one outside of going to a Legends convention?
How is breaking someone's nose accidentally awesome? Especially in a business where NOT hurting your opponent is the real goal?
And I don't see the polish hammer working as Masters finisher. It wouldn't work for opponents like Kane, Big Show, Undertaker etc.

Master's finisher already sucks... it sucked even more if it was something so odd looking as the double axe handle. Dude will never be more than low card, his character cannot do anything that he hasn't done and there already are enough people with over confident personnas. There is also the fact that he can't do his finisher to half the roster because they are too tall for him.
