He's far from his prime, but I don't really understand what you mean when you say he can't do wrestling moves? I don't see him botching any moves really, not particularly. He hits every belly to belly, half nelson and t-bone suplexes just fine, I think? Also he can still make chair shots look painful, that's a lot more than you can say about Foley. I couldn't believe how shitty his chair shots looked when he hit Sting, it was ridiculous.

Mr. Kennedy released
Written: May 29, 2009
World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of Raw Superstar Mr. Kennedy (Ken Kennedy) as of today, May, 29 2009. WWE wishes Ken the best in all future endeavors.
I'm pretty shocked about Kennedy. I'll be very curious as to know the real reason for this. I'm assuming you're all aware he was injured again on RAW when he was hit with the RKO. Somehow he hurt his wrist. Sure this guy is injury prone, but I can't really believe WWE would throw a guy out just days after an injury. Seems wrong to me.
Well from what I understood the wrist injury wasn't very serious, but it was the straw that broke the camel's back.
I feel really sorry for Kennedy. Being injury prone must suck ass, getting injured again and again.. God, injured on a freaking RKO on his first night back? If he had gotten hit with a shooting star press or something.. but an RKO? talk about a harmless move..
It's clear they had big plans for Ken. They made him get the MITB briefcase and I'm sure they wanted him to be world champ. Shame.
Less shocking but more disturbing...
WWE has just pulled Ric Flair from all ROH shows, including tonight's show in Philadelphia.
Fucking ridiculous.

WTF I was gonna see Flair when ROH come's chicago next month.
But anyways TNA last night I thought was pretty sweet is was good to see Sting kick out thoes security guards which were a big joke and AJ and Dainels was pretty sweet.
Some news:
The Undertaker recently underwent arthroscopic hip surgery a little over a week ago and had bone chips and other debris removed from his hip. This is the same surgery that NFL star Kurt Warner had done.
Undertaker's recovery time is expected to be around eight weeks leaving him available for a return in mid-July. The talk still as of now is for him to wrestle at SummerSlam in August giving him an extra few weeks to prepare and use TV time to build up his return to the ring.
There was a plan at least at one point to hold off his return until the newly named "Breaking Point" PPV in September (which was originally known as "Unforgiven"). The theory was that Unforgiven had an Undertaker-type theme and saving a return to boost that PPV would help, but this had been done before and Unforgiven ended up bombing. So the idea of an Undertaker return boosting PPV buys doesn't appear to apply anymore since he has had so many returns in the last few years.
After getting some good publicity out of the now-infamous Denver Nuggets debacle, WWE may be facing some bad publicity stemming from nude photographs of Matt Striker leaking online. Yes, nude photos of Matt Striker. The story is that he sent someone pictures he took of himself which included full-frontal nudity, and the person he sent them to decided to leak them out to the net. They have been picked up by a few celebrity gossip blogs and a quick search on Google will take you to them, although I strongly advise against it.
WWE, under the guise of Linda McMahon, is toning down to PG-rated television more than ever now that Linda has become a member of the Connecticut State Board Of Education. The company is telling everyone that there is to be no blood, very little sexuality aside for some comedy bits, no threatening of serious violence, and a more clean and wholesome family product because they don’t want these things to be thrown back in Linda’s face by any political enemies.
Interestingly, Striker’s announcer deal with WWE is much better than most of the wrestlers because he is not labeled as an independent contractor and has more benefits, and that deal may now be on the line. One member of the roster says that Striker has a tendency of wearing very little clothing and it‘s his M.O. WWE has yet to react to the issue, and there’s a chance the whole thing may blow over as just a blip on the radar.
WWE will be holding tryout camp looking for Japanese wrestlers this July. WWE Executive Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis will actually not be attending the evaluation, but will be running the project by phone through staff members of WWE Japan.

I've never been more disgusted at the wrestling news sites over the Striker incident. What a massive double standard. They really don't help paint a picture of wrestling fans being civilized and cultured individuals. All they can say is "ewwwwww a penis! this is the most disgusting thing i have ever reported on!!!!".
Seriously guys, I know you are grown men, so please do act your age.

i'm guessing it's more to it than an injury. he could've asked for his release as well. more details will likely be leaked in the days to come
There finally comes a time where Vince can do something good for the business instead of good just for himself, and he fucks it up. It wouldn't kill him to let Flair keep his word, and not disappoint shitloads of fans. Way to help the business, Vince...

As reported earlier, Mr. Kennedy was officially released from World Wrestling Entertainment late on Friday night. This comes as a shock to many as Kennedy had just returned to Raw on Monday after rehabbing from a badly injured shoulder. Kennedy ended up injuring his wrist after taking a RKO from Randy Orton in the main event that night.
It is being reported that Randy Orton & Kennedy had words backstage after Raw went off the air. It wasn't heated, but Orton told Kennedy he had to be careful out there so he wouldn't injure anyone in the ring. There weren't any other complaints backstage.
Some backstage sources are looking at the pull that Orton has with Vince McMahon as why Kennedy was released. Another contributing factor could have been that he is injury prone, and WWE wouldn't be able to capitalize on their work on his character.
*all i can say in response to this, is that Randy Orton is a bigger piece of shit than i thought! that fuckin' cunt just got someone who i enjoy a hell of a lot more so than Orton fired. i really do despise Orton! fuck him!

Shawn Michaels recently told company officials that he's looking to take more time off than originally planned. He believes he's financially set for life and his children are at a certain age where they like him around, and he knows that's a very short window.
Original plans called for Michaels to return at SummerSlam, but he's looking to hold his return off until late this year or early next year for a good WrestleMania storyline. Although, this could change depending on his mood or if any of the major Superstars come down with an injury. If you recall, two years ago, Michaels talked about not coming back for a long time as a result of knee problems. Then John Cena tore his pec and his wife joked that he would be getting a phone call soon. He received the phone call the next day and was back in the ring sooner than initially hoped.
Michaels appears unsure about his long-term future in wrestling as he's made noise about retiring next year at WrestleMania, but he also feels he can still make appearances at big shows well into his fifties like Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. He also said that once his children become teenagers, being at home won't be as much as priority anymore as his kids won't want to hang around him as much. At that point, he'd be more open to spending more time on the road.
Here is a .gif file of how Mr. Kennedy nearly injured Randy Orton's shoulder on RAW Monday. This was said to have really ticked off WWE management and partially led to his release from the company:
The early word on Mr. Kennedy's surprising release from World Wrestling Entertainment last night is that almost injuring Randy Orton as well as himself during his match on Raw on Monday night was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Kennedy made his return to Raw on Monday night after a ten month hiatus rehabbing a badly injured shoulder. As bad luck would have it, Kennedy ended up injuring his wrist after taking the RKO from Orton. Much more seriously in the eyes of management, Orton nearly re-injured his bad shoulder as a result of an errant maneuver on the part of Kennedy.
As reported earlier, Undertaker recently underwent arthroscopic hip surgery and is resting at his ranch in South Florida. He won't be medically cleared to return to the squared circle until July or August, but should be back in time for SummerSlam.
Several ideas have already been pitched for his return to television including a program with rising SmackDown star Dolph Ziggler

I'm not so sure Kennedy failing to properly sell the RKO is the problem after watching this gif:
Orton looks pretty furious. If Kennedy truly almost got Orton badly injured, then yeah... it's hard to be angry very much. Accidents happen, but at some point there's a line that cannot be crossed. Even if you hate Orton, he is the WWE Champion, and whenever a champion gets injured and has to vacate a title it typically ruins the entire show's atmosphere.

That's at least as much Orton's fault as Kennedy's, it's just a mistime. There's nothing wrong with Kennedy's execution up until Orton starts flailing around like a fucking idiot because he's off balance, causing Kennedy to have to try shift Orton in mid air. And Orton has a history of fucking up things like this; remember when he overarched a reasonably low bridging Regalplex and got head-dropped?
But yeah the guy is just snakebit. And it sucks because he was fucking good, too. I thought he was going to be huge, and it made me happy to think that WWE would have more than one guy in their mainevent who could actually put together a psychologically sound match. Well whatever. I hope he doesn't end up in TNA. Which he of course will.

I understand your point in general about fans judging wrestlers for situations they don't know everything about. But even if Kennedy did call a different move, what the fuck else was Kennedy going to do from that position? Maybe an atomic drop? I didn't see the match but given the apparent context of the spot (before a hot tag), anything other than a backdrop is pretty unlikely.
This is a case where it pretty much is exactly what it looks like; a terrible mistime with a failed save.

meh whatever. personal feelings for Orton aside. it's totall bs what happened, but as mentioned, we really don't know the whole story. that gif shows an incident that could very well have been both their faults, but the one who gets the consequence is Kennedy cause Orton's the Champ. which, in case anyone wonders, is nothing new in WWE.
when two wrestlers fuck something up, it's never the Champ's fault, it's always the other guy blamed. i present as evidence, the infamous "curtain call" from '96. who gets blamed, Triple H. why? Shawn's the Champ, and Nash and Hall left for WCW. but Shawn would just as much be at fault as Hunter, but Trips gets the blame.
this thing with Kennedy and Orton doesn't seem much different to me

Kennedy shook his wrists on camera, it absolutely does NOT mean he didn't suffer a small wrist injury the match. Hell I was injured on my wrist for a while just recently, and I could shake my wrists just fine like Kennedy- but if I tried doing a push up or doing a bench press with my thumb out, it hurt like hell.

Point being if he could flail his wrists the way he was doing, that wouldn't be an injury that would warrant any time off (hell Hardy is wrestling with a much more injured hand).

um yeah, ok, whatever.
Conspiracy theorists are starting to claim this is an elaborate work... but yeah, just wishful thinking I think. Sort of like for months after Eddie died people thought he'd pop back out at any minute. WWE just isn't that brave to do an angle like either of these scenarios, not in this day and age anyway. It'd fly right over the head of non-internet goers anyway since they didn't even have the decency to announce this in anything other than Industry News.
I've been pretty disappointed with Kennedy the last few years because he just isn't developing quickly enough, though granted that could be due to his injury status.
