Taker appeals to all fan segments rather than just one like Cena and Batista. PERIOD. And THAT's why it's a good business decision to keep him face, while it's a good personal decision to keep him face because that's just what he wants to do. And he's the God Damn Undertaker. He does whatever the fuck he wants.

oh i agree with you. it just seems it's Crow who needs to be persuaded. but let him think whatever he wants

no it's not just you. Taker's totally gotten better over the last few years. and that's what helps keep him involved, the fact that he can adapt with the times, and he's always adding moves to his arsenol

hey folks, just a heads up:

10 Years Ago Today: Owen Hart Tragically Dies At 34

Today marks the 10 year anniversary of Owen Hart‘s death. He was the youngest of the 12 children to Helen and Stu Hart

He fell to his death in Kansas City, Missouri on May 23, 1999 during the WWE Over The Edge pay-per-view event when a stunt where he was supposed to be lowered into the ring from the rafters went wrong. Hart fell 78 feet (24 m) into the ring, landing chest-first on the top rope near a corner.

Owen had just celebrated his 34th birthday a couple weeks before, and is survived by his wife and two children.

RIP OWEN WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU sad sad

I don't know, I think I've finally gotten to the point where I just don't want to play another wrestling game from THQ and Yukes. It pains me to say it, as I've played damn near every one since....Wrestlefest in the arcades. I picked up 2009 pretty cheap from a near by Target and played it for about a week, and was just completely bored with it.

Maybe I'll pick up another wrestling game when it's produced by someone other than the THQ/Yukes combination. Who knows, maybe an independent developer will try their hand at a wrestling game. The markets for that however are extremely turbulent(just ask Fire Pro Returns). SvsR has just gotten to be little more than the madden of wrestling games, and i'm just not as cool with that as I used to be for some reason.

thing is though THQ/Yukes know how to do it right! true they give us nothing new per say every year, but i just don't see the licence going to anyone else who would do even half as good a job, not even EA. as for Indy wrestling games, without a real licence, those can only go so far. never played Fire Pro before. might look into them some day, but other than that there's no reason for Indy wrestling games that are going to be crap

svr2009 was ok but was pretty boring copared to the past games. the only reason why i got it was the create a finsher. hopefully svr2010 will expand apon create a finsher and update the matches and also update the roster perfectly but i wouldn't hold my breath.

Seems like the TNA ppv was crap.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
Sting's champ...again. Joe's "killing" everyone...and there were other matches....yawn

And Geek, I'm certainly not saying that THQ/Yukes aren't doing what they do right. Hell, go back and play the original Smackdown on ps1 and then come back and play 09 and you'll see what an amazing job they've done with the franchise. I'm just saying, that for some reason, nothing they do lately with the smackdown games seems to hold my interest. They're still capable of amazing games that hold my interest (UFC 2009=AMAZING!) but it's just not clicking with their wrestling titles.

Sting isn't champion. The world title was Foley's sacrifice. He didn't get pinned, so the title didn't change hands.

Also shows how retarded TNA is. Their one major singles title isn't on the line on a freaking PPV. What a bunch of morons, but hey, nothing new there.
I love it how the main event is STING, JARRETT, ANGLE AND FOLEY. Great way to push the new young stars.

i like how kofi is getting a shot at the us title. hopefully he wins. it figures that kelly kelly got screwed out of the divas championship because she could be a great divas champion. hopefully she will win the title someday and bring back kelly's exposae. why does everyone hate orton so much. i think he is far greater than edge, cena, triple h, and even batista. he has some decent moves like the back breaker and the rko along with that powerslam he does. when is rey going to be again wwe champion because jeff has gotton several shots and blew it. and back at no way out rey had the damn match won.

i cant understand why umaga attacks cm punk all the time. he never attacked HHH as much as he did with punk. vicki being miss wrestlemania is a joke. i can't understand why wwe make chavo a chump because he is champion material. the santina thing makes me want to hurl. it reminds me of a wrestler named veto the toughest man to wear a dress in the business. i dont expect to see rvd return anytime soon. it be sweet to see him return and have a match against jeff in a ladder match instead of edge at extreme rules.

tna i also feel is slipping because the womens davision is a joke. the x davision is getting stale by seeing the same superstars win the belt. plus they are making amazing red look like a joke. amazing red can out fly mysterio or maybe even out fly sabu. plus mick being champion is a way for him to relive his days of ecw along with the hell in a cell he had at king of the ring. just retire already mick that way you can be abducted into the hall of fame. these are my statements and opinions about wrestling. if you don't like what i'm saying o well because you have your own opinions.

Yes well, in TNA, the most important thing isn't to become world champ- apparently, the most important thing to Sting is to become Main Event Mafia leader. Great.

I can't even believe that I was worried, at one point, that TNA would put the world title on Kevin Nash. That would be nothing, compared to putting the belt on a man who can't run, can't wrestle and has really lost all the charm he had since going into TNA and doing whatever the hell he wants (obviously), like ruining important main event angles with retarded humor.

Don't worry. He'll be back making "great comebacks" like Ric Flair does in WWE soon enough.

I'm still perplexed as to why he even thought the move to TNA would be a good one. I can't honestly say that I believe Foley has made one contribution to the program at all. He's just another past his prime WWE star taking up tna airtime from young guys who can't even get a running start in the company without hitting a wall of crappy booking, or of course being made to put over the newest wwe guy that jumped ship.

Honestly Mick, was Vince yelling at you over the headphones that loudly?

LOL I used to love TNA before they went to SpikeTV. Now they suck.

To be fair WWE Raw sucks now... Smackdown and ECW and Superstars all pwn though.

John Morrison is my new favorite babyface of the company. I've always been a huge fan, but he's really been impressive. Jericho and Edge are still my top favs though

oh i hear ya, and i do agree. but until something else steps up, or until THQ/Yukes get a clue, we'll just have to put up with their WWE games. and like i said, i don't really see another developer even coming close to matching them creatively

sounds like you're describing Steiner, not Nash! even though i guess it holds true for both of them! TNA putting the title on either one of them would be bad! grin tongue

Aha, actually I never really thought they'd put the title on Steiner and I did suspect they were going to do it with Nash.
As for describing Steiner, I really have to disagree. He was rejuvenated in TNA, way WAY better than his WWE run. He actually looks excited and into the action, he's doing his thing with his crazy promos, doing the frankensteiner off the top rope again, doing more suplexes, some actual wrestling like takedowns and chain wrestling, and refreshing his gimmick. Also, unlike Foley, he actually looks like a wrestler!

yes, i give Steiner that much, he looks like a wrestler. but he still more looks like a jacked up freak who can barely pull off a decent wrestling move other than the frankensteiner. he still does good promos yes, but all in all, it's still the same old Steiner. you might see some changes, but i see the same worn out tired Steiner who can barely wrestle.
