The Taker match on SD was kickass, it's great to see him back in action. Jackie winning the cruiserweight title was just hilarious. I agree with you Drfatality about TNA, but if they want to be competion for WWE, they need to do stuff worth while. I ain't seen TNA in awhile, and that's because lately their stuff has been mediocre at best. MetadragonX, Golderg made comments about WWE long before he even got into the company, and he still signed with them, so yeah, stranger stuff has happened. olympic_hero, I hope your computer troubles ain't to serious, and yeah, the Booker/Grave bit was good. No prob, but a Wrestling Geek?I heard of a math geek but not a Wrestling Geek.Funny thing though if the WWE and TNA become rivals and hate each other's guts. The WWE could easily take cheap shots at TNA's name. You get it "TNA".TNA could take some shots at the WWE too.Im hoping they will be the next big thing though. Not like WCW but big!The WCW wasn't popular here on the East but when I went to South Carolina for a week.I noticed the WCW is alot popular down there. The timeslot could hurt TNA too.

But alot of wrestlers talk trash about the WWE but end up working there. And yea, the TNA timeslot sucks. It needs to be on at a later time.

Steve Austin Involved In Another Incident With Ex-Fiance:

Credit for the following story goes to PWInsider.com:

According to popular news tabloid, The National Enquirer, there has been yet another domestic dispute involving Steve Austin and his ex-fiance, Tess Broussard.

Apparently Tess Broussard jumped out of Austin‘s moving vehicle during an argument. This led to Austin calling the San Antonio police. According to Austin, Broussard made an attempt to bite or attack him while he was trying to call the police. However, Broussard claims that Austin attempted to strike her with his vehicle. She claims that Austin called the police before she did to try to hide that fact. According to The Enquirer, the couple had been drinking earlier that night.

After their first domestic dispute, Broussard moved into Austin’s San Antonio home, while Austin found a condo for himself. While visiting Austin‘s new home, Broussard apparently found evidence that Austin had been interactive with one of his female fans over the internet. Later on that night, Broussard accused Austin of being involved with the woman. That accusation is what apparently started the entire domestic incident. Although Austin apparently offered Broussard a financial settlement after their breakup, she is still living in Austin’s house.

Austin is currently being looked into by the Japanese company, Dreamstage Entertainment. Dreamstage Entertainment regularly holds shows which are co-promoted by Japanese wrestling company Zero-One. Dreamstage Entertainment just recentled held their third installment into the ‘HUSTLE’ series of shows: HUSTLE-3. The show featured Mick Foley, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and many other big name stars.

Major Austin/Goldberg Update And Full Details On Match:

Partial credit for the following goes to Dave Meltzer:

With all of the recent talk of an upcoming Goldberg vs. Austin dream match taking place, it was very unlikely that Austin would have came to terms with Dream Stage by the 5/8 HUSTLE-3 show, and that didn't happen, but lately there have been rumors going around that Austin would be making several appearances which would in turn lead to a big match, possibly in July when DSE plans on running the 4th installment of the HUSTLE series. While DSE is probably the closest to inking Austin, New Japan's director Fumihiko Uei is also heavily interested in signing Austin for New Japan.

Goldberg had been wanting to do a singles match with Austin ever since the two became friends and for the past few years, and even moreso recently, they have been talking together pretty extensively regarding a match that could be done in Japan and broadcast on PPV in the United States. DSE already promotes PRIDE and Bushido events on U.S. PPV, so promoting something like one of their HUSTLE shows (which would feature Austin vs. Goldberg) wouldn't be much of a problem whereas it may be for other companies. Plans for HUSTLE DVDs in the U.S. are already in the works, and have been dubbed over with English commentary.

As reported earlier in the week, Goldberg was looking for an incredibly large payoff for he and Austin to do the match, possibly a bit more than Dream Stage is willing to pay.

If this were to happen, Austin would not be able to use the name "Stone Cold", rather he would be known as just Steve Austin. At this time it is not known whether WWE would go as far as to claim ownership to Austin's beer drinking and ring mannerisms but I don't think that it would surprise anyone at this point.

The overall feeling is that there is no guarantee that a match like this without TV to back it up would be able to generate enough buyrates or make enough money in terms of the United States audience, as it would if it were headlining a WWE PPV.

Jeff Hardy/WWE Update; Amazing Red/NWA:TNA

The Amazing Red will no longer be working for Ring of Honor, as he recently signed a long-term contract with NWA:TNA. Red's decision to sign with TNA was based on the contract being for guaranteed money. TNA loves Red's work and want him to be one of the center pieces of their X-Division once the company debuts on Fox Sports Network.

Jim Ross has been in contact with Jeff Hardy regarding a possible return to WWE, but WWE's is demanding that he enter rehab before he's brought back to television. Hardy is still against entering a rehab, as he feels it isn't necessary.

Lance Storm Comments On Whether He'll Show Up In NWA:TNA:

The following is an excerpt from Lance Storm's online commentary on StormWrestling.com:

"There are a few questions that came up in your letters too, which I will try to deal with this week. First and foremost everyone has been asking about the TNA rumours started by Dave Scherer. I know Dave, or at least did. I haven't talked to him a long time (He worked with ECW.COM) and trust me when I tell you he was just taking educated guesses and was speculating, which he pretty much stated himself. For those of you who missed his piece. Dave speculated that since many guys are sent to OVW before being let go that I could be being terminated and that I would not move to OVW and be away from my family. He then went on to say that TNA officials have claimed that you have not seen the last Lance Storm match. I guess I can't guarantee that WWE isn't planning to let me go, but I am certainly not under that impression. I was the one to initiate my stepping out of the ring, and I actually want to go to OVW, which in and of itself is different from all past cases. As for the road schedule, my wife and I actually worked this out. When the OVW gig was put on the table, my wife and I set up a schedule we could live with and thought WWE could live with and it is that schedule I am currently working under. I am basically doing 2 weeks in and 1 week out. I'm away roughly the same amount of days as before, but my days home are in bigger (more useful) chunks and with the way we have the weekends falling, I am actually home more weekends than I am away, which is HUGE. I have kids, one in grade two and the other in preschool. Having weekends off instead of weekdays, doubles my time with my kids, and will allow my wife and I do things with friends as a couple. Dave should have looked into how my OVW schedule was laying out before posting his piece. As for TNA and not seeing my last match. I did say "never say never", but I assure you I don't currently have any plans with or for TNA. If WWE were to release me that would certainly be an option I would look at but my focus is strictly OVW at this point. A lot of you also asked if I will be working on camera for OVW. I do not plan on working on camera, but this has never actually come up or been discussed. There is always that possibility but I wouldn't hold your breath."

Some small news for people who watch Afterburn.AB comes on at 12:30AM now instead of 12:00AM.I was listening to the radio but I managed to catch the "Graveyard Hand".It looks like they used Claymation for it.Something about it didn't look right. It was scary though I don't blame Booker T for wanting to leave. That's all I caught and when Taker came out with Paul Bearer. The WWE is doing a good job now.

I think it was supposed be Undertaker's hand.It wasn't though because if it was you could see the tattoos.Maybe it's someone Taker buried a long time ago alive and the WWE want's to continue that story probably.Interesting...

Kanyon Coming back?:

Paul Bearer has updated his "Percy Says" column on his official site. In it, he comments on how much less stress he has, now that he's cancelled his message board. He also talks about visiting country singer George Jones, and the brutal WWE schedule. http://percypringle.com for more on that.

Kanyon was released from his WWE contract on February 9th. Taking into account that he signed the 90 Day no-compete option, that clause will expire this Sunday. Kanyon should be able to freely work for other promotions starting next week.

A message board caused him stress.Well,I don't know how that feels yet because my site isn't busy sadly sad.Oh well maybe soon! And on a side note that gay guy from The Real World Miami got caught masturbating in a Adult book store.LOL.

WWE Releases Bad Blood Promo Poster Featuring Edge:

WWE has finally released their promotional poster for the upcoming Raw Brand only Pay Per View in June, Bad Blood. The pay per view takes place on June 13th.

The poster features Edge with the enscription "He's Back, Watch Yours." It has a new photo of Edge along with the WWE Bad Blood Logo.

WWE Releases Great American Bash Details; More:

WWE has officially added the "Great American Bash" PPV to their calendar. The PPV is scheduled for Sunday, June 27 and will take place in Norfolk, VA. Tickets for the event will go on sale Saturday, May 22.

WWE released the following on their official website:

"WWE officials have added a SmackDown!-brand pay-per-view in June – scheduled for Sunday, June 27 in Norfolk, Va. And now the pay-per-view has a name, one that you may be familiar with: Great American Bash. That name undoubtedly conjures up memories for longtime fans of sports entertainment. In fact, Brian Solomon of SmackDown! Magazine discusses the history of the Great American Bash in his column, featured in the July edition of the publication, which hits newsstands on June 8. Tickets for Great American Bash go on sale Saturday, May 22."

Bret Hart WWE Return Update, Current Status; More

Credit for the following goes to The Pro Wrestling Torch:

Bret Hart and Vince McMahon have had a few meetings lately, mainly to discuss the possibility of a WWE-produced DVD that would contain footage of Hart's entire career.

The feeling is also that Hart will appear on WWE TV sometime this year, though it most likely will not be as part of a wrestling role. Hart wants to take part in an angle where he can get back at Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels for what happened at Survivor Series '97.

Currently, Hart is in litigation with Lloyds of London insurance. The insurance company doesn't feel like they should pay out insurance for Hart's career-ending concussion, if he had suffered previous concussions before he took out the insurance policy.

Official WWE Raw Preview (05/10)(This is long!):
The following is from WWE.com:

General Manager Eric Bischoff has already announced several blockbuster matches for Monday Night RAW, airing live at 9/8 CT on Spike TV. Undoubtedly, the RAW brand has not seen a lineup this loaded since the Backlash pay-per-view.

When the members of Evolution complained vehemently after a six-man tag team match that kicked off the May 3 episode of RAW, Bischoff immediately signed three matches for this coming Monday. First, Triple H will try to beat Shelton Benjamin, finally, as the former World Heavyweight Champion will go one on one with the youngster from Orangeburg, S.C. – who has quite a winning streak going, particularly over the members of Evolution, including consecutive wins over The Game himself. Be sure to tune in exactly at 9/8 CT, as the Triple H/Benjamin match will kick off the show. Also, Batista will try to exact revenge when he takes on Tajiri, who sprayed the green mist in the eyes of the powerhouse.

Bischoff also announced that the Intercontinental Championship will be on the line, as Randy Orton will defend against the man who pinned him in the six-man tag match, Edge. This match will mark the first time the Intercontinental Championship has been defended on RAW since February.

After announcing those three huge matches, Bischoff dropped another bombshell: Chris Jericho will be able to get his hands on Christian without the threat of outside interference. That’s because Trish Stratus and “problem solver” Tyson Tomko will literally be blocked from the ring by a 15-foot-high steel cage! That’s right – Y2J and Christian battle in a Steel Cage Match this Monday on RAW!

And there’s more: Eugene will make his anxiously anticipated in-ring debut as he tangles with Rob Conway of La Resistance. The American turncoat, who recently relocated to Quebec, is coming off a huge win over The Hurricane, which Conway said was a preview of what’s in store for Eugene. However, Eugene appeared to be a quick study – indeed, he seemed to have uncanny strength, and he took to the mat like a fish to water – during a training session with William Regal.

To reiterate, five HUGE matches have already been announced for RAW:

Triple H vs. Shelton Benjamin
Batista vs. Tajiri
Randy Orton vs. Edge for the Intercontinental Championship
Chris Jericho vs. Christian in a Steel Cage Match
Eugene Dinsmore vs. Rob Conway

Plus, what will Matt Hardy and Lita have in store for Kane, and vice versa? What will Shawn Michaels have to say after Triple H cost him the World Heavyweight Championship?

All this and more on Monday Night RAW, 9/8 CT on Spike TV.

Last bit of news:

Six Sided Ring To Debut, Ultimo Dragon News, The Rock; More:
Partial credit for the following goes to Dave Meltzer:

The Rock's "Walking Tall" is doing about what was projected for it in the box office. It is not a huge blockbuster, but a strong showing overall, with around a $40 million domestic gross.

I have heard that NWA-TNA has purchased a six-sided ring which they will begin to feature on PPVs. The six-sided ring was popularized by Ultimo Dragon's Toryumon promotion in Japan, and hasn't yet been used in the United States.

Speaking of Ultimo Dragon, just a few days ago it was announced that he would participate in New Japan Pro Wrestling's annual "Best of the Super Juniors" tournament. The BOSJ is the top junior tournament in the world, and this year's lineup is stacked. Other participants include American Dragon, Tiger Mask, Heat, Jushin Liger, Christopher Daniels, Rocky Romero; and more.

Ric Flair Ric Flair Misses Show, Molly Hurts Back, Matt Hardy:
Thanks to Pwinsider for the following:

-Matt Hardy has been working with a sore knee.

-Molly was having problems with her back over the weekend which caused Gail Kim to do most of the work in a tag match against Victoria and Nidia. Molly was said to be feeling much better the next day and worked a match without any problems.

-Ric Flair was given both Friday and Saturday's House Show's off, probably because of the birth of his new granddaughter. Flair was at last night's show where he tweaked his hamstring a bit, but is expected to be just fine.

Weekend Notes: Lawler Almost Fined, Raw Show, Christian/Jericho Cage Match:
Thanks to Pwinsider for the following:

-Dean Malenko worked as an agent for Raw shows this weekend. He normally does the same thing for the Smackdown! shows.

-Christian and Jericho had a good workout in a cage match last night to prepare for tonight's.

-Brian Lawler showed up late to one of the House Show's this weekend and was warned. Lawler is expected to be fined if it happens again.

LOL! Yeah they can. So I guess that means the US is taking on a Luchadore theme by TNA getting a six-sided ring.

News Tidbits: Vince McMahon, Chris Jericho, Paul Heyman, Rob Van Dam, NWA:TNA; More:

Vince McMahon is planning to sell 7.1 million shares of WWE stock. As a result, McMahon would own 67% of the company, rather than the 80% he owns now.

Chris Jericho's band, Fozzy, will release their third CD in August.

Paul Heyman is expected to form a renegade group of former ECW wrestlers.

Rob Van Dam will now be known as "Mr. Thursday Night."

WWE is said to be considering Steve Keirn as a road agent.

There is talk of NWA:TNA dropping the TNA initials and using only NWA when the company debuts on Fox Sports Network.

Here's the actuals for The Rock's Walking Tall.

As of May 9th:

Total Domestic Box Office Gross: $43,752,098

Total Overseas Box Office Gross: $1,096,616

Production Budget: $46 Million

Matketing Budget: $25 Million

courtesy of www.boxofficemojo.com

Walking Tall basically broke even. The problem I see is that The Rock's movies might mirror Steven Segal's movie where in his hay day they made on average $45-50 Million at the box office and then the public got tired of him. Plus This movie wasn't made on the cheap! Niether was The Rundown and it's total take didn't cover the porduction budget! What's not made up at the box office is recovered in dvd and vhs sales. I think he needs to look into doing movies that have more depth and on a much more modest budget. And lets not forget him cultivating his acting skills. wink

The Rundown - This movie was 10 x better then I was expecting, as I hate Stifler and didn't think this looked too good. This is a very good movie if you can get past Chris Walken's 'oddness' which I can, (Tho the 'toothfairy' thing was rather odd).

Walking Tall was eh..he needed a role to challenge him, this was just a 'big guy beats up baddies' type deal...
