Yeah, Triple H not having the World title anymore and The Undertaker returning as The Deadman is the best things the WWE had done so far. and Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit are the WWE World Champions. doesn't get much sweeter than that!

Also, Mick Foley and Randy Orton had a brutal hardcore match at Backlash last month. When Backlash comes out on video, I'am gonna rent it so I can check it out.

That's your opinion, but I disagree. Taker makes a better face than a heel. If he's gonna fight Mordecai, then he should be a face, then he'll destroy Mordecai, because that is a retarded gimmik. BTW, IOWNYOU, you need to lay off the caffine brotha!

WWE Playing Hardball With Austin:

-The WWE is taking a hard line with Austin after the contract talks stopped between the two parties. They have axed the "Stone Cold Brew" project they were backing. They have put his merchandise on sale at half-price at show's and on WWE.com. And of course, they have retained the right's to his name, all the time while still airing his fanatic series on InDemand PPV. There are rumors, however, that most people expect Austin to return to the company sometime before WrestleMania 21.

Eddie Guerrero Two Disc DVD, Regal In Ring, Rock's New Movie?

Thanks to Herald.com:

-William Regal should be returning to the ring in the next few weeks as he has been cleared to wrestle. Look for a possible tag match with Eugene as his partner.

-Eddie Guerrero will be getting his own two disc DVD this fall. The DVD is scheduled to be released on Sept 28th. Look for some big releases from the WWE this fall going into the Christmas season.

-The Rock is in talks to star in the new Marvel Comics movie "The Submariner".

Scott Steiner Return Date, John Cena, Hart/WWE:

-The Miami Herald reports that Scott Steiner will be returning sometime this month.

-They also are reporting that the WWE is interested in purchasing Stu Hart's home and making it a historical landmark in Canada.

-John Cena's debut CD "Underground" will be released on June 8.

Recap of Bret Hart's Return to the Ring:

Reoirt by Alan Edwards

This is Alan Edwards from SmarkTown.com, and I was lucky enough to be in attendance for Bret Hart’s return to the ring last night in Canton, Ohio. His speech wasn’t long, but did cover a lot of the issues he’s dealt with, from multiple concussions to the stroke. He said he has virtually no feeling on the left side of his body, but he keeps striving to improve. He said he wants to keep improving, and what doesn’t kill him will only make him stronger. Three fans were chanting HBK, but he didn’t acknowledge them. He thanked the fans quite a few times, but didn’t specifically mention a return to television in any role. However, the comments about going through physical therapy and things only making him stronger sure seem to hint that we haven’t seen the last of Bret Hart.

I agree with a lot of what u said. A few years back, when they were trying to regain the lead from WCW, when they had DX, when they sacrificed Steph, when they had UFC fighters Shamrock an Severn, when they had Ryan Shamrock omghotty, it was great.

What's to blame? Is it no more WCW competition, is it no more Rock, Stone Cold, Hart(s), etc, or is it the brand extension?

Probably all 3 in some degree

Wrestling has always 'boomed' every few years..gaining mainstream attention for a year or two then fading away to it's hardcore fan base, then booms again, so on and so forth...but can it do it with one brand alone?? Can WWE be the only thing out there? Will NWA on TV be any good??

True the past greats are not that great or even there anymore...but there is some great talent in there...Y2J is as good on the mic as the Rock, who was/is the best they have possibly...Rock/Jericho segments were golden..he needs the push...on Raw you have Y2J, HBK, Benoit, Batista and Orton both could easily go to the next level any day now, Kane, Triple H...plus with Bitchoff and Regal they have the solid backstage segments...Raw is perfect, and should remain so...u see the picture for the 'Showdown in the Desert'? Pretty damn cool..

As for Smackdown!, they have some main event talent as well..Big Show, this guy needs repacked mean...Booker T, Eddie G, Angle, RVD, and Cena...Cena would jolt some life into the show, and like IOWNYOU said, it seems to be geared towards an audience Cena and the WWE would benefit from..

Nicely said B-T. I agree with you on alot of points. RAW is by far the saving grace of the WWE, even though it still needs to be improved upon. Im praying that the NWA will give the WWE the competition it needs. We can only hope. And yea, that pic for the title match is pretty cool. BTW, B-T your Wayne Brady icon is hilarious. Confirmed Debut Date For Hirohito (Kenzo Suzuki):

According to an article in The Calgary Sun, Hirohito (Kenzo Suzuki), is set to make his television debut on the 5/10 edition of RAW. He'll be accompanied by a North American "bodyguard".

Update On Proposed Austin vs. Goldberg Match:

The latest update on the proposed Steve Austin vs. Goldberg match is that Dreamstage Entertainment is the leading candidate to hold the match. In order for this to happen, Austin would have to make a few appearances for DSE so the company will have footage of Austin to use in promoting the match, since they can't use any of his WWE footage for legal reasons. Apparently, Goldberg is lobbying for a huge payoff (seven figures) for both he and Austin to take part in the match.

- Paul Heyman is not currently doing any writing for the RAW or SD! Storylines. Although due to his writing experience, the WWE does go to him as somewhat of an advisor. The current RAW writing team consists of Brian Gewirtz, Ed Koskey and Michael Hayes while the Smackdown! writing crew consists of David Lagana, Bruce Prichard, Dan Madigan and Dominick Pagliaro.

- The WWE currently plans to push The Dudley Boyz as single wrestlers. They will book matches for people to face "The Dudley", however they won't know WHICH Dudley they will be wrestling until the match starts. The other Dudley who is not in the match, will interfere to help each other win.

A major angle involving Eddie Guerrero was shot at the house show in El Paso, TX last night and will air on this week's Smackdown broadcast.

While very few NFL teams were taking Brock Lesnar's quest to play in the league seriously last month, more and more teams are showing interest in Lesnar as his May 18 NFL workout approaches in Phoenix where many NFL scouts want to see him in person after putting up such respectable sprint times. Lesnar's agent has been quoted as saying Lesnar made over $10 million in his 4 years with the WWE, so this isn't a dollar-based decision but more of a personal challenge. Expect to hear more about Lesnar in the coming weeks as Sports Illustrated is planning a feature story on his quest to make an NFL team.

Tommy Dreamer's WWE Status Not Looking Good:

As it stands right now, Tommy Dreamer is still employed by WWE. However, we have received several reports in the last week or two that there is some concern that Tommy will be leaving WWE in the very near future.

One source has told us that they wouldn't be surprised to see him go in the next several weeks. Tommy has always had a good reputation backstage and it's just a case of creative not having anything for him. Unfortunately more and more wrestlers are being told that these days and obviously it's not making anyone happy.

TNA Prepares For Fox Sports, Deal Confirmed?, More:

NWA:TNA's office staff is getting ready for the scheduled June debut of their weekly FOX Sports Network television program.

TNA officials have been making calls to a few charter flight companies recently, getting details straightened away with which one would be best for them. They have been specifically asking for prices for Thursday morning charter flights to Orlando, FLA. From Nashville, TN. The price for the charter flights is said to be in the high 20-30 thousand rance. TNA is hoping to get a better rate if they make a 6 month commitment to the charter

The six month figure means that TNA's agreement with Fox Sports Network is possibly either a 26 week deal, or a one year deal with a review period after six months. Sources have also said that TNA has been contacting people involved backstage, and informing them about their new roles once the show hits FOX Sports.

There still has yet to be an official announcement made by TNA about the deal with FOX Sports.

Huh! Pretty good match I'd say! I'd give it 4/5 stars!

The funny moment is when Shawn called out a spot to Benoit when almost everyone heard it.

I'm really tired of this Michaels/HHH thing! It's already old. I can't understand why they're still running with this rivalry.

LOL! Not only did Michaels yeal out to Chris once, but he did it twice!! I mean... geeez! LOL! Shawn's been around to know better than that. Maybe there should be some kind of verbal signal to call a spot that doesn't involve actually saying, "C'MON CHRIS!!!"

Interesting thang about that cut job, I don't think Benoit's head came close to the post! Maybe I'm wrong.

Evolution Split Update, Race & Heenan WWE Appearance; More:

Lillian Garcia sang the U.S. and Canadian anthems at the Dodgers/Expos game this past Saturday at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

WWE has announced that both Bobby Heenan and Harly Race will be guests on Byte This! this Thursday at WWE.com. The hosts will be Howard Finkel and Tommy Dreamer

As many of you may remember last week a rumor was posted regarding the possible split up of Evolution in the near future. The venue for the May 22nd house show in Philadelphia had posted a match on the card as Michaels & Orton vs. Batista & Benjamin, hinting at both an Evolution breakup and a Michaels heel turn. I have received word that the lineup has been updated and the match has been switched around to be Michaels & Benjamin vs. Orton & Batista. Obviously, the earlier mistake was a typo. As of right now there has not been anything else going around regarding the break-up of Evolution

WWE Announces Date For Wrestlemania 21 In Los Angeles

The following is from WWE.com:

WrestleMania 21 has a new date! The pay-per-view spectacular will now take place Sunday, April 3, 2005, live from the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.

Jeff Hardy Return Update; Not Looking Good, Tim White News; More

Referee Tim White needs yet another shoulder operation. Because of this, White was on the road last week working as a road agent. In joking about how much of an honor it was to be asked by certain wrestlers to referee their matches at Wrestlemania, White also joked around that he was disappointed that the APA gimmick was done (when Farooq got fired), since now he won't get that new bar renovation when they come to the Providence area for RAW or Smackdown. You may remember several times when WWE did staged bar fights on TV at White's "Friendly Tap" bar. Whenever any type of segment like this was done, WWE pays White for the damages.

The most recent report on the return of Jeff Hardy is that it seems more unlikely than not that he will make a return to the WWE. Jeff's biggest problem is his own stubborness and his denial of having any sort of problem. Before signing him and bringing him back, WWE wants Jeff to go into rehab because of company policy, and because of his two drug tests. Jeff still hasn't done rehab and hasn't shown any signs of wanting to come back. Despite this fact, many at WWE feel that it would be a plus to bring Jeff back, and have been in negotiations with him over the past few weeks.

Confirmed Matches For Next Week's Raw

Several matches have been announced for next week's Raw:

HHH vs Shelton Benjamin (Benjamin will be 3/0)
Batista vs Tajiri
Randy Orton vs Edge (IC Title)
Chris Jericho vs Christian (Steel Cage)
Eugene vs Rob Conway

Update On Austin/Goldberg Match; DSE Involved; Big Money; More

From what I've been hearing, the latest update on the proposed Austin vs. Goldberg match is that Dream Stage Entertainment currently seems to be the top candidate to hold the match.

For this to happen though, DSE would need Austin to make several appearances at a few shows in order for the company to have footage of Austin to use in promoting the match, since DSE can't use any WWE footage for obvious reasons.

Apparently Goldberg is lobbying for a huge payoff (seven figures) for both him and Austin to have DSE hold the rights to the first match between the two. In comparison to how big this would be for the company, Goldberg's current contract with Dream Stage pays him roughly $125,000 per match, and $50,000 for any live appearance.

Brock Lesnar To Sign With Major Fighting Company; Sean O'Haire; More

Following Sean O'Haire's match today with Hiroshi Tanahashi in Japan, he stated that from now on he would fight anywhere to prove his strength. There are some rumors coming out of Japan that O'Haire may possibly start doing shoot matches, due to his big push since arriving there and the fact that he is representing K-1 in New Japan. O'Haire was originally being recruited by ZERO-ONE to fill the spots left open when Predator, Tom Howard, and Nathan Jones signed with K-1.

K-1 Producer Sadaharu Tanigawa announced that K-1 has been in contract negotiations with Brock Lesnar recently. K-1 hopes that they can come to a deal with Lesnar in the very near future, as they feel that Lesnar would be a perfect fit for their operation. I'll have more on this situation as the story progresses.

Sable's Contract, Vince McMahon/Talent Meetings, Steve Austin Update, DDP's Return; More

Despite Sable having over a year left on her contract, there's no guarantee that she'll return to WWE television.

WWE is reportedly interested in purchasing more video libraries, including those of Florida Championship Wrestling, World Class Championship Wrestling, Mid-South Wrestling, and a few others.

Vince McMahon has not been present at the last few pre-Smackdown and pre-RAW talent meetings. Instead, he's having the agents conduct the meetings.

According to a reliable source, if Steve Austin were to sign for the "HUSTLE" series, he would have complete creative control over his character.

"Diamond" Dallas Page will return to action on 7/24 in San Bernarido, CA for UPW.

The tentative main event for Summer Slam is scheduled to be Chris Benoit vs. Triple H for the World Heavyweight Title.

There is talk of Shawn Michaels possibly turning heel on RAW tonight. With HHH being the top heel on RAW, and him being about to leave to film a movie, WWE will need a strong main event heel for the next few months. Michaels was originally supposed to turn heel at Backlash, but WWE decided to hold off on the turn since HHH was able to stick around longer than expected.

Wether you like him or not, I was glad that Chris Jericho made mention of his wanting to be Champion, and even going as far to say that the next challenger would not have the initials HHH, but instead Y2J. That sounded like a hint referencing how people are getting sick of HHH being a main event hog. It was great to see HHH bumped down to a regular match on RAW, especially the first match. Seems they're living up to their promise of new teams and rivalries, since a 3-man team of Edge, Tajiri, and Benjamin was nice to see.

Yea I felt that was a little personal actually. If you recall, HHH and Y2J had/have MAJOR beef backstage, stemming back from a long time ago.

In any event, Y2J needs to be in the title hunt, and I can't wait for the cage match next week on Raw. Lot of good matches next week..

Yes, but don't hold them to that, the WWE might change their minds 6 times from now until Summerslam. The_Purple_Bunny, I agreed with everything you said.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WWE has reportedly already re-thisthingisdisableduated the push of Hirohito, who is being billed as a relative of Japan's Emperor Hirohito, who ruled the country during World War II. Initially, the character was supposed to be brought in with a substantial push, but the word going around now is that he'll be brought in on a less grand scale to see if he gets over before they push him. In addition, WWE has heard from its connections in Japan that if they were to move forward with the angle where Hirohito comes to the U.S. looking for retribution for how his "relative" was treated during World War II, it would not be appreciated in Japan as the company received a huge amount of heat when they did the Yokozuna character. Since Japan has become a very lucrative market for the company, that bit of information was taken into consideration when deciding on the push the character will initially receive.

NWA:TNA has implemented yet another policy for their contracted wrestlers that isn't likely to sit well with them.

According to a source inside the company, the management team has decided that starting in June, all contracted talent booked for a non-TNA wrestling event will be subjected to a 15% booking fee, payable to TNA. TNA is also demanding a 50% deposit once a promoter books a talent. For example, if a wrestler is booked to work a show for $1,000, there will be a fee of $150 payable to TNA, effectively raising the total payout for the promoter to $1,150, with $575 being paid to TNA the day the booking is made (even if the show doesn't take place for several months).

For instance, Raven claims to be making $1,500 per indy appearance, which means that he'll need to get $1,725 from the promoter in order to collect his regular pay, or he'll have to pay $225 to TNA out of his regular fee, this losing 15% of his money.

In addition, by the promoters having to pay TNA up front for a booking, any wrestler who in the past was paid in cash and didn't report that as income on their taxes, will now have no choice but to do so. Now there will be a record of at least half of their booking fee for each show they work, making them liable for the sum on their taxes, when in the past they could have been paid totally in cash and only reported what they wanted to.

This is obviously not a popular move amongst the wrestlers.

Thanks to Gary Graham for the following info(Steve's Wrestling.com):

I was listening to a local Columbus, Ohio radio station today and they did an ad for the Bad Blood PPV, which takes place on June 13th in Columbus, OH. They announced that the main event will be Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels in a Hell in a Cell match."

HHH costing Shawn Michaels the title on RAW last night will obviously be used to set up the match. Given the recent work of both men, this should be an outstanding match. Tickets for the event go on sale this Saturday at 10 a.m.

So according to the news and last nights Raw. the matches for Bad Blood so far could be...

Chris Benoit Vs Chris Jericho for the World title(plese make it a ladder match!!)

HHH Vs HBK in Hell in the Cell

Randy Orton Vs Shelton Benjamin for the IC Title

that looks like a good line-up so far. I guess the Hell in the Cell match is going to be a Bad Blood tradition now.

and next week's Raw we have

HHH Vs Shelton Benjamin
Orton Vs Edge for the IC title
Eugine Vs Rob Conway
Batista Vs Tagiri
Chris Jericho Vs Christian in a Cage Match

IMO, some of these matches should be saved for the Bad BLood PPV. espeically the Jericho/Christian Cage Match. But I guess sence SmackDown! has a PPV they want to make Raw a watchable show till their next PPV.

It's about time Sable left the WWE.Alot of people would agree with me that Sable is just there for money. After all that complaining and Lawsuits against the WWE.She settled for money plus she's getting old.

Very good observation olympic_hero. I remember awhile back them saying that when SD has their brand ppv, they would stack the Raw the same week so they would almost have a ppv event on Raw.

Ric Flair Absent From Raw, Eddie Guerrero:

-Ric Flair was not at Raw this week because he was becoming a grandfather.

-Eddie Guerrero's mom did experience a feeling of dizzness and was lightheaded after working the angle at the El Paso House Show this past weekend, but once backstage she began to feel better.

Goldberg's Contract, Austin/Japan Details, WWE; More:

As of this point in time Dream Stage Entertainment is interested in continuing their relationship with Goldberg who has two matches left on his current contract, one of which being his 5/8 Triple Crown match against Toshiaki Kawada.

In regards to Goldberg's next HUSTLE match, Triple Crown Champ Toshiaki Kawada stated today that after working the last 2 days, he is very confident that he will beat Bill Goldberg on 5/8 on the HUSTLE-3 show at Yokohama Arena to retain his titles. Kawada said that his broken right pinky finger is doing pretty good and he doesn’t think it will be a problem against Goldberg.

Dream Stage has been looking into signing Steve Austin for a pretty lengthy period of time, about 18 months, and they had even told him before he was let go by WWE that the contract would be non-exclusive. DSE just wanted Austin to work a set number of dates for them, and he would have been able to return to working for WWE as well just as long as he could make the contracted dates in Japan. As of right now, there would be no need for Austin's contract with DSE to be non-exclusive.

Major Bad Blood *Spoiler*, Another Japanese Diva To Work WWE Show:

Radio commercials in Columbus, Ohio are advertising Chris Benoit vs. Kane for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at Bad Blood, as well as the recently reported Shawn Michaels vs. HHH Hell In A Cell Match.

Takako Inoue, women's Japanese wrestling star, is scheduled to work a WWE dark match in San Diego on 5/17. Inoue has been in the business for over 15 years and is a tremendous talent. There is no word on whether Inoue will be signed by WWE, or whether John Laurinatis is just having her work the show, as he is very familiar with the Japanese scene.

Eugene Based on Fan, Kane's Movie, Mysterio/RVD Update:

-To update on Rey Mysterio’s status, he has now been medically cleared to return to in-ring action after recovering from his recent head injury which occurred just before WrestleMania 20. He is expected to begin a tag team feud with RVD against the Dudley Boys.

-For all the Kane fans out there, there has actually been a Kane movie script written. Recently hired creative team member, Dave Madigan, wrote the script and has been scrutinized as some think he was hired only because of the movie script he wrote. One person within the company stated “He’s a lot more competent than the other writers, which isn’t saying much.”

-“Eugene” is actually a spoof characterization of a mentally handicapped fan who is often seen at shows in the Pittsburgh area and started off just as an inside joke before developing into an on-air personality.

**Spoilers** Chris Benoit's Bad Blood Opponent Revealed:

To follow up on a story from yesterday, advertisments in Colombus, Ohio (the location for WWE Bad Blood) have been advertising a HHH vs HBK Match (Hell In The Cell).

On top of that, advertisments have also been issued for a Kane vs Chris Benoit match for Bad Blood.

WWE Signs New Diva For RAW Brand:

Hiroki has apparently signed a 275 thousand dollar deal with WWE, and will be debuting next week on RAW along with Hirohito (Kenzo)
