HHH Not Filming Yet, Austin Update, & Benoit/SummerSlam:

Thanks to Pwinsiders.com for the following:

The WWE and HHH have pushed back the shooting of his company produced movie for two more months, partly because of the recent amount of superstars who have left the WWE.

Several wrestlers backstage at Raw say that Steve Austin has not been missed and it is nice not having to sell to a "retired" wrestler and never get any of their heat back in return.

It looks like Chris Benoit vs Triple H will carry all the way into the summer and up to Summerslam. Of course this rules against the logic of Randy Orton vs Triple H.

Kevin Nash/Randy Savage To NWA:TNA:

With NWA:TNA closing in on a television deal with FOX Sports Network, the word going around is that the company is currently in talks with both Kevin Nash and Randy Savage. Management wants to bring in Nash and Savage in order to have a few "big names" on the roster to familiarize new viewers with their product.

Well, I said I would do it so here I'am. Like I said, I bought the WMXX DVD yesterday and let me just say that...This is one AWESOME DVD. I would even say its the best DVD I've ever bought.

The DVD itself is pretty huge. it looks like a fuckin book!

The first thing I did when I bought the DVD was watch the Undertaker/Kane match. I've been looking forward in seeing The Undertaker's entrance for a long time now!. and that entrance was FUCKIN SWEET! espeically that gospel-type music when Bearer and the druids were walking out. what a awesome moment it was!. and Taker's new remix theme is pretty damn cool to. I noticed in the backgroud that one of the druid's robe was on fire so an offical had to come out and put it out with a Fire Extinguisher lol!. and the actual match itself was a awesome match. I liked the beginning when Kane was almost crying screaming "Your not real!" "YOur dead!". Prett cool.

Goldberg Vs Lesnar. Oh My God that match was fuckin awful!!. I'am surpirsed the WWE kept the crowd reactions in. there were "Your solded out" chants, they were singing that popular Goodbye song to Lesnar, there were "This match sucks" chants, "Goldberg sucks", "Lesnar sucks", and "Boring" Chants to. I thought it was pretty funny and well deserving. damn what an shitty match.

The only matches I thought sucked were both Tag Team matches, Lesnar/Goldberg, and the Cruiserweight Open. The Cruiser match didn't suck, but I was disapointed on how short it was. people were getting eliminated left and right and Akio didn't even enter the match! But there was this one part where Kidman did a SSP from the top rope on to a group of wrestlers on the mat and the way he landed was kinda sick! but that was fuckin cool thought.

The Triple Threat World Title match was a awesome match!. I think it was the best match on the card! even thought I knew it was coming. It was great seeing Triple H tap to the crossface. and the celebration and the end was pretty cool.

The Eddie/Angle match was pretty good to. I thought the ending was awesome, with Eddie unlacing his boots and sliding out of them when Angle had the Ankle lock on. that was great.

All the other matches were pretty good to and the only matches that sucked were both tag team 4-way matches , Lesnar/Goldberg and the Cruiserweight match was disapointing.

Anyways, as for the Extras. Damn, theres alot of them. one the 2nd DVD they have the usual interviews with some of the wrestlers before and after the event. some Confidental segment about the Rock and Sock Connection, the WMXX Press conference, in the Press Conference, Kane was wearing sun-glasses and a leather Jacket lol! and they have the usual TV Promos on some of the matches.

the 3rd DVD is where the good stuff is at!. It has the intire "Mania of Wrestlemania" UPN show as well as some Deleted scenes. it also has that "Top Ten Greatest WrestleMania matches" Hosted by Ric Flair show that was one Spike TV.

Another cool feature it has is the Wrestlemania Gallery. Where you could see Results,Photos, and Facts for every WrestleMania from WM1 to WMXIX

And Finally they added a WrestleMania Trivia section which is pretty cool. This is so funny, After you answer a question. a short video plays of some of the WWE Wrestlers commenting on your answers. SO if you get it an answer right, a video plays of Spike Dudley saying "Your Awesome!" or if you get an answer wrong, a video plays of Mick Foley saying "Your answer was just as good as Al Snow's Haircut". They have different wrestlers commenting on your answers saying stupid and cheesy lines. This so fuckin corny but kinda funny to.

Anyways, there you have it. Again, this is one awesome DVD and is really worth getting!

So anyways, Here is was one each of the 3 Discs

olympic_hero, if you saw the ppv originally, then you might remember this, the video they did at the beginning, before the ppv started, highlighting all 20 Mainias, and ending with a pic of Vince, Shane, and Shane's son, did they keep that in?? It was such an awesome video. Great review, I can't wait to get my own copy.

Not really. Just showed me how stupid the New Yorkers can be during a wrestling event. I know the match sucked and all, but I think the crowd could have at least shown a little self control, and not acted like complete jackasses. Kinda like every time the WWE goes to Calgary, the crowd there always acts like idiots, kinda makes me ashamed to be Canadian sometimes, but I guess the WWE likes all the publicity and heat, so they keep coming back. Thank God not all of Canada acts like that.

First Reviews Of HHH In Blade 3: Trinity:

Here are a few quotes from several reviews taken from AICN at the first showing of Blade 3: Trinity in Hollywood last night:

"Triple H and his gigantic neck are also pretty great. He shows real flair, and while a bit wooden, he is great as the big bad-guy. His character is a throwback to the henchmen of the James Bond films: the bastard you love to hate."

" If you fellow fan boys thought you shit yourselves over the hulk dogs looking absurd, wait ‘til you see the reaper vamp dogs. Yep. It’s causally explained by Triple HHH (yes, the wrestler) that they’re results of genetic experimentation. Um , yeah, but their mouths split open like reapers, and that little tongue thingy shoots out, so they’re reapers, right? Here’s a wacky question--anyone remember the second movie, where vamps considered reapers genocidal maniacs and not house pets? (on a side note, Triple HHH’s acting wasn’t half bad in this)."

You can read the entire review at http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=17443

Looks like pretty good praise for HHH in his acting debut.

MIDEON TALKS ABOUT TRAINING WITH THE UNDERTAKER TO RETURN TO WWE, NAKED MIDEON AND MORE

Dennis Knight on Between The Ropes Recap
by Richard Trionfo

This week on Between the Ropes, Fritz, Dickerman, and Vito welcomed Dennis Knight to talk about his career and his work at the No Name Wrestling Show in Kissimmee, Florida.

Dennis started off the interview talking about his match with Between the Ropes co-host, Vito DeNucci, and he said that he is ‘training hard’. Dennis was asked about the fact that he has lost weight since his last major run. He has lost about 70 pounds, and attributes it to bike riding and changing his eating habits.

Dennis said that after he left WWF, he didn’t do much for about two years. He was fortunate to have worked without any injuries. Dennis said that he is now working for himself. Dennis has been trained recently by the Undertaker, and has changed his wrestling style. Dennis has always been a fan of Dusty Rhodes, but after he started wrestling, he became a fan of Bobby Eaton and Arn Anderson, for being able to make his opponent look good. Dennis has been doing some ‘Ultimate Fighting’ work, and joked about Taker being like Tito Ortiz.

Discussion moved on to Dennis’ attempts to return to WWE, and hopes to be there soon. He talked about the current WWE product, and compared it to a sports team that lost a lot of veterans and had to bring in some young guys. Dennis talked about how things have changed since there are not as many territories, and there are some people who might be on television who should not be on at this time. He said it is like seeing a choreographed fight scene.

Talk moved on to Eugene, and the comparisons to Phineas Godwin. Dennis said that he liked seeing the ‘superhero’ characters, and was ashamed when he first saw Eugene. As long as Eugene is not portrayed as ‘too special’, he will like it.

Dennis was asked about whether people remember him more as a member of Taker’s Ministry or Naked Mideon, and said that he is remembered more for Naked Mideon, even though he only had two matches.

Dennis was asked about his match with Steve Madison at the recent Tampa house show, and felt that it was a good match. The match got a good reaction, but there were some people who felt that it took something from the show as the second match of the night. Dennis also talked about how he was involved in a run-in during Taker’s match, and it hurt a lot.

Dennis said that it is always on his mind that he would want to come back. He has been on the independent circuit for the last 18 months, and he has had to worry about not being paid for appearances. Dennis said that regardless of what people say about Vince McMahon, he never bounced a check. Dennis enjoys working for No Name Wrestling.

and Speaking of The Undertaker, I can't wait for SmackDown! tonight!!

Some more news:

Details On Bret Hart's Meeting With Vince McMahon Last Week:

Bret Hart and Vince McMahon met following the 4/19 RAW in Calgary. Vince wanted to film footage of Chris Benoit in the Dungeon at the Hart family home (which is being sold), which Bret agreed to as long as no footage was shot of him. It's unknown when this will air, but it'll be the last footage of any wrestler in the Dungeon.

As for the meeting, the main topic of conversation was the potential release of a Bret Hart DVD with footage of his best matches. Bret would appear on the DVD to talk about his career. Shane McMahon has said that he will personally oversee the project if it does happen.

Vince also asked Bret is he'd be willing to appear on WWE television. As I've reported before, Hart doesn't want to return to WWE for storyline purposes so Vince suggested that they make his return a "spontaneous" thing instead. He didn't, however, propose any ideas as to how this would happen.

NWA-TNA News: Jeff Jarrett/NWA Title, New Policy, Lash LeRoux; More:

Most within TNA were glad to see Jeff Jarrett pull himself out of the title picture at last night's show, by letting A.J. Styles, Raven and Ron Killings have the spotlight. The general feeling amongst most in the locker room is that the other wrestlers need to be booked as stars and have their own feuds, rather than everything revolving around Jeff Jarrett.

A new policy has been put into effect by TNA management. It states that all wrestlers must remain in the building, in their gear, until the show is over. Apparently, some workers were already dressed before TNA could shoot promos for Xplosion.

Lash LeRoux was backstage at last night's show. LeRoux, who has good artistic skills, is trying to create new logo ideas for TNA. No word on if TNA plans to use him as a wrestler.

Sinn has been working with the company on designing new gear for the other workers.

Bret is being smart about not returning to the WWE.I think he knows and sees what the WWE does to legends. The WWE destroys their legend.

Diamond Dallas Page-DDP was very well respected when he was in WCW then once he entered the WWE his respect was lost all because of the "Yoga Teacher Gimmick"

Hulk Hogan-The 3rd time he came back the WWE just killed him. They made him act like a Super hero.Personally I think that's the WORST WRESTLING GIMMICK EVER!Stephanie mcmahn acted like she didnt know who it was but come on.I know wrestling is fake but it seemed like a Telletubbies show. The fans arent dumb.

True, but all those guys are ex-WCW wrestlers, and that's why they got squatted on. Vince doesn't forgive, nor forget. You wanted to leave him for more money in dubba-see-dubba (WCW), well guess what, he owns you now. Those people you mentioned burned their bridges, and if I was Vince, I woulda done the same.

EXACTLY. They all sold out to dubbya c dubbya. So Vince buried their ass. Same reason why he brought the WWE version of the nWo back, so he could bury it on air.

Bret is a different story tho I think. If you have ever watched that 2 hour special about Bret Hart, you would prolly agree. Vince retracted Bret's gauranteed contract for 20 years. Soo after that Bret felt like he could shop around and so he did and so he was on his way to WCW after the title match at Survivor Series. They talked before the match and after some back and forth Vince said he didn't have to lose the title in front of the home fans. You all know that didn't happen tho. He got Hebner to ring the bell and SCREW his ass. So if Bret was to ever come back, I would hope Vince would treat him differently than the rest.

Yes he was. He was partners with Dangerous Dan Spivey as part of the Skyscrapers. The original Skyscrapers was Sid Vicious and Spivey. Mean Mark Callus(The Undertaker)took over for Sid after he got injured.

Anyways, did anyone watch SmackDown!? Damn, it was fuckin great seeing the undertaker back. and better yet, he'll actually be wrestling next week on SmackDown! to.

I have a feeling that Chavo's Mystery opponent next week will be a returning Jeff Hardy. I don't know why, but I think it'll be him.

Its offical. Charlie Haas and Rico are my favorite Tag Team now!

I forgot to mention. When Booker T was walking to the ring for his match with Billy Gunn, This fat kid in an orange shirt pat Booker T in the back and than Booker turned around and told him off. The fat orange kid was scared shitless!! HOLY SHIT that was was fuckin hillarious!! I couldn't stop laughing after that!! lol!!

As for taker, I noticed that he improved his look when I saw him on Smackdown!, His goatee and his hair was much darker than before and he actually had some make-up around his eyes this time, and his hat wasn't as tall as it was before. and his belt buckle said EVIL on it which was pretty cool. I liked the fact that the fog stood in the ring durin the intire segment which looked pretty cool.

Official Smackdown! Preview For Next Week - Angle's Last Laugh:

Thanks to WWE.com:

Last week on SmackDown!, Mr. Angle made his return as SmackDown! GM and announced that his career as a wrestler was over. However, his impact on SmackDown! has not changed and this week will be proof, according to Angle. He said he will have the last laugh after last week’s happenings, and there will be several matches that Angle has set up so he can have that last laugh.

In tag team action, Eddie Guerrero & Rob Van Dam will meet the Dudley Boyz. This match was made by Mr. Angle after RVD attempted to save Guerrero from a Dudley attack last week. Angle said that somebody is going to pay will it be RVD and the WWE Champion? Find out on SmackDown!

The Undertaker will also be in action by order of Mr. Angle.

In other action, it will be Chavo Guerrero vs. “The World.” After his victory over Nunzio last week, the Cruiserweight Champion declared that he was “getting bored” because he had defeated all of the cruiserweight competition. He issued an open challenge to any cruiserweight he has not yet faced, and that opponent could be from anywhere in the world. Find out on SmackDown! who Guerrero’s next opponent will be.

The road to Judgment Day continues on SmackDown! Will Angle have the last laugh after a disastrous week last week? Who will the Undertaker’s opponent be? Who will challenge Chavo Guerrero? Only one way to find out watch SmackDown! at 8/7 PM CT on UPN.

Bill Goldberg's In Ring Return Confirmed; Austin To Follow?

Thanks to Pwinsider.com for the following:

-Bill Goldberg will be returning to the ring very shortly at the Dreamstage Entertainment/ZERO-ONE joint event HUSTLE-3 at the Yokohama Arena in Yokohama, Japan. This will be Goldberg's first appearance since he left the WWE after WMXX. There are talks to have Steve Austin on this card as well, but nothing has been confirmed at this time.

Kurt Angle To Have Neck Surgery - Out For Months:

Thanks to Pwinsider.com for the following:

-There are more details coming in concerning Kurt Angle's upcoming neck surgery. The surgery will be performed by Dr. Hae-Dong Jho in Pittsburgh, PA. Angle has been having severe pains in his back and is said to have lost feeling in one of his fingers. This surgery is expected to keep him out of the ring at least until late summer if not longer. There are hopes however, that Angle will be able to return to television in an on camera role before that.

The Rock Gets Punk'd, Rob Van Dam Contract Update:

Reports indicate that Rob Van Dam and WWE are close to securing a new contract. RVD's deal with the company expires in June, however, a new contract is just a formality at this point.

The Rock recently had a joke played on him for the upcoming season of MTV's Punk'd. The joke apparently deals with The Rock being blamed for blowing up a trailer on the set of one of his movies.

Sting/Lex Luger To WWE, Charlie Haas/Rico, Eddie Guerrero:

WrestlingObserver.com is reporting that WWE has been in contact with Sting over the past few weeks. Sting reportedly doesn't have much interest in working for WWE, but the rumor going around is that if he could get WWE to sign Lex Luger, he'd be willing to sign a deal. Luger, who is a close friend of Sting's, is experiencing some major financial problems right now due to all his legal expenses, and Sting is using himself to land Luger a job.

According to reports, Eddie Guerrero is taking his role as WWE champion very well, and isn't taking any time off despite being very banged up physically.

There is talk that the reason Charlie Haas is being paired with Rico is to have Jackie begin falling for Haas, and eventually leave Rico for him. Management wants to pair Haas up with Jackie because they feel it would add more depth to Haas's character.

WWE Edits WrestleMania XX, Major Names Added To HUSTLE-3 Event:

WWE apparently cut off both tag team title matches, the cruiserweight open, and all the backstage interviews, promos, etc. from the VHS release of WrestleMania XX. The tape is edited down to three hours. (Who cares? I mean, get the fuckin dvd!)

Steve Corino, Spanky, and Low Ki have been added to the HUSTLE-3 event on 5/8 at the Yokohama Arena. The show will be headlined by Bill Goldberg challenging Toshiaki Kawada for the Triple Crown championship.

Thanks to Pwinsiders.com:

The WWE will confirm later today that the official location for SummerSlam 2004, which will take place on August 15th will be held in Toronto, Canada.

There were reports that the WWE may be looking to hold the event in England, but apparently in the end they decided on Toronto. It will be held at the Air Canada Centre.

I just noticed something

These last two weeks on Raw and SmackDown! had the same Main-Events on both shows.

the last two week on Raw had Benoit/Edge vs Flair/Batista as the Main event

and on SmackDown! had Eddie Guerrero Vs a Dudley Boy the last two weeks to.

god, thats fuckin sad.

Austin Returning To WWE?, Backlash Buyrate; More:

The following news comes from the PWTorch.com Newsletter:

Backlash drew a strong 600,000 buys for Backlash, according to very early estimates. When looking at it in terms of the card, that buyrate is definitely good news and above the initial 500,000 buy estimate. However, because of the WrestleMania aftermath, WWE officials were still a little disappointed with the number.

Currently, the majority of the lockerroom is pessimistic with regards to Austin returning in the short-term, although it's expected he'll be at WrestleMania 21, so as not to miss the large payoff. Austin is still rumored to be negotiating a Japanese appearance for Dreamstage Entertainment.

Possible Bret Hart/Kurt Angle Match?; Goldberg-Lesnar, More:

TSN has posted the one-on-one interview that Michael Landsberg did with Kurt Angle. It was a great interview, one of the better OTR interviews they have done.

While Kurt was on the set, TSN.ca/Wrestling did an interview with Kurt as well. Kurt went and talked more in-depth about his neck. Kurt basically says he can't feel his pinky figure right now. Angle also says wrestling a guy like Brock Lesnar didn't help and his style in the 4 years he has been in the company as a top heel hasn't helped.

However, he doesn’t regret what he’s done within the past 4 years and is very happy with his accomplishments. He also says that fans love him, which is why he has the "You Suck" chants. He compares himself to Austin and goes on to say that the fans love Austin because he is the underdog that never accomplished a lot and hated his boss where in his life he had gone and actually did something with his life.

In regards to his match with Eddie Guerrero at WM XX, he says that it was really hard to have the match as he didn’t want to aggravate his neck injury any more, however it still was a top rated match. He feels the finish of the match is what brought the fans back to the show after the Lesnar vs. Goldberg .

Kurt goes on to say that the reason the fans hated the Lesnar/Goldberg match so match was because they felt betrayed that two of the top talents were leaving the company. Angle believes that Austin should’ve have entered himself into the match and making it a triple-threat encounter, with the ending having Austin stunning them both and then going on to cover them both at the same time, as the fans would have enjoyed this ended a lot more.

However, the big news came when Kurt Angle challenged Bret Hart for an upcoming WrestleMania Match, as that is his dream match. Kurt says that Bret is the very best in the industry, and has all the respect in the world for him. He also would like to think that he would be considered to be among Bret as one of the best ever, and the way to do that is to wrestle him. Kurt says if Bret ever wants to come back for one match and can get his health and status back to a decent level, Kurt wants the match.

New Hirohito Character Causing Backstage Controversy:

- The new Hirohito character that has been alluded to on RAW will be for Kenzo Suzuki. Based on the vignette that aired, there are some people in Japan who feel that this angle will backfire huge to the point where WWE may not be able to return to Japan since it could potentially offend some Japanese right wing politicians who will feel that it is mocking Emperor Hirohito. Right now the plan is for Hirohito to debut on the 5/10 RAW from San Jose and they are also toying with the idea to have him be accompanied by a bodyguard. According to sources, the company has contacted “one of the bigger stars in industry for the role.”

Inside Details Behind Austin's WWE Release:

- WWE is blaming a lot of the problems between themselves and Steve Austin on Austin’s lawyer, saying that the lawyer doesn’t understand the importance of Austin remaining on WWE TV for his own marketing. However, Austin himself was not going to sign off on a new deal unless he had control of his external deals and reportedly WWE was willing to make some concessions in this area but only in areas that were not in competition to any existing WWE deals. Austin and Vince McMahon broke off talks on 4/16 in a positive manner by saying that they would work together again some day. The company also promised not to bury Austin publicly on TV.

Matt Hardy's Face Turn, Lita News, Angle Storyline *Spoiler*; & Loads More:

Matt Hardy is in for a big push in the coming weeks. The plan is to have Hardy and Lita re-unite as hinted at last week on RAW.

The Undertaker is scheduled to face Booker T at Judgment Day and is expected to return to SmackDown! prior to the PPV. It could come as soon as next week although that's not confirmed.

As it stands right now, Kurt Angle is expected to work the weekend house shows. The last we heard, Angle was supposed to do a wheelchair gimmick to sell the idea he just suffered a broken leg.

Rey Mysterio is off this weekend house shows due to dizzyness as we reported last week.
