Kane vs. Benoit would kick ass, as would HBK and HHH in Hell in a Cell, even though HHH was in a Hell in a Cell match at last year's Bad Blood against Kevin Nash. Let's just hope HHH doesn't have all his matches in Hell in a Cell, and ruin that too.

Details On Scott Steiner Possibly Done With WWE:

As reported here a few days ago, Scott Steiner has been cleared to return to WWE an was expected to return sometime this month.

Since then I have been hearing reports that there is nothing for him at the time in creative, and there is debate as to whether the company should bring him back as a big name talent on Smackdown, or not use him again at all and just let his current contract run out. The feeling right now is that Steiner is too fragile and injury prone due to his physical nature, that it wouldn't be in the company's best interest to give him any sort of large television push.

Great American Bash Update, Chris Benoit, Raw Ratings:

-InDemand has added The Great American Bash to it's website for June with the following:

The All-American holiday is here and the fireworks are just getting started as WWE SmackDown! Presents THE GREAT AMERICAN BASH, live Sunday, June 27 on Events iN DEMAND pay-per-view.

Breaking News Concerning Goldberg, Mick Foley, Kevin Nash, & Scott Hall:

Partial credit for the following goes to Sports Navi:

It has been officially announced as of this morning that Bill Goldberg has pulled out of the 5/8 HUSTLE-3 show where he was scheduled to challenge Toshiaki Kawada for the Triple Crown. As of right now details are scarce, but the word going around is that Goldberg sustained some sort of injury, which is the reason why he is off the show.

In what is considered pretty big news, Mick Foley will be taking Goldberg's spot on the show. This will mark Foley's first match in Japan since he worked for the IWA promotion back in 1996. Foley has already arrived in Japan and is currently preparing for his match.

It is believed that Foley is not currently under a WWE contract, which is why he was able to work the show, and essentially work as a free agent, and it is very possible that Foley could sign a contract with Dream Stage Entertainment to be a full-time participant in the HUSTLE series. If any more information regarding this story makes its rounds, I will post the details.

Dream Stage had been in talks with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, as well as Steve Austin, and it was announced that the Outsiders would be reuniting on the show, as Kevin Nash and Scott Hall were revealed as Shinya Hashimoto and Naoya Ogawa's mystery opponents.

The lineup for the show is as follows:

- Naoya Ogawa & Shinya Hashimoto vs. Kevin Nash & Scott Hall
- All Japan Triple Crown champion Toshiaki Kawada vs. Mick Foley
- Shinjiro Ohtani & TBA vs. Mark Coleman & Giant Silva
- Masato Tanaka & Tetsuhiro Kuroda vs. Kintaro Kanemura & Sabu
- Riki Choshu vs. TBA
- Dusty Rhodes vs. Steve Corino
- Zebraman vs. TBA
- Kaz Hayashi & Spanky vs. Low Ki & TAKA Michinoku
- Oscar Sevilla & Cynthia Moreno & Pimpinella & Mascarita Sagrada vs. Gran Apache & Tiffany & Polvo de Estrellas & Mini Abismo

Details On Bobby Heenan Working For WWE In Near Future:

Partial credit for the following goes to The Torch:

A big story making its rounds today, and this is in no way confirmed at the moment, is the possibility of Bobby Heenan joining WWE and doing more work for them than he has in the past couple of years.

Wade Keller is reporting that Heenan would return in a role that wouldn't necessarily put him on television, rather he would be involved in some of the upcoming video/dvd releases of older footage, as well as a heavy position with WWE's upcoming video on demand feature. Heenan would most likely host shows or do some voiceover commentary work, and the feeling is that Heenan's unique commentary combined with his knowledge for older wrestling would make him a perfect fit in that position.

There were rumors going around not too long ago that suggested Heenan would join the Smackdown brand in commentary with Tazz and Michael Cole, but that is not in the current plans.

Hirohito Angle Dropped, WWE Registers New Trademarks:

* Apparently the whole Hirohito angle has either been dropped or at least halted due to controversy. At this point there is no word on when Kenzo Suzuki (who will be playing the Hirohito angle) or his wife Hiroki Suzuki (who was just recently signed) will debut on WWE television. The original plan was for the two to debut on the Raw roster. It is still believed that Hiroki will be in Kenzo’s corner, which was reported last night.

* WWE has recently trademarked the terms “For Real” (Chris Benoit), “Problem Solver” (Tyson Tomko), and “Mr. Thursday Night” (Rob Van Dam).

New WWE Videogames for PS2, XBOX And GBA Announced:

Headline Posted by Michael Shalik on 7:50:49 PM May/ 5/2004

'The Toy Headquarters' unleashed some huge news today as it revealed its future publishing plans for the company's WWE wrestling franchises. Announcing a total of three games in all, THQ not only addressed the question of when gamers can expect its next batch of grappling titles, but has also settled the question of what these titles are going to be called.

PS2: At the top of the announcement list was the revelation of the all-new Smackdown! title, WWE Smackdown! vs. Raw. Once again developed by the team at Yuke's, this sixth installment of mega-selling franchise will feature abundance of new options and games modes; with a particular attention paid to improving on the graphics for a more realistic presentation. The game will be released near the end of October/beginning of November.

XBOX: THQ also confirmed that it has done away with its Raw franchise altogether and has instead replaced it with the former GameCube property, WrestleMania. To be more formally known as WWE WrestleMania XXI, the game will not only boast an all-new developer (Studio Gigante of Tao Feng fame), it will also introduce plenty of original game modes and improved television style visuals. Expect to see it debut simultaneously with the WrestleMania XXI event next year.

GameBoy Advance: The final game on the list is the all-new Game Boy Advance SKU, WWE Survivor Series. The first game for the GBA WWE title in two years, Survivor Series should boast a ton of new features over its predecessor in addition to a variety of match types. No other

Breaking News: NWA: TNA Officially Signs Cable TV Deal

A very reliable source close to Fox Sports Network is reporting that NWA: TNA has officially reached an agreement with the company and has in fact signed their television deal. TNA's timeslot will be Fridays at 3PM Eastern. Their historic debut show on cable television will be Friday, June 4th. NWA:TNA is expected to make an official announcement very shortly.

Shortly after NWA:TNA announces their cable television deal, it is expected they will announce they are totally changing their business model and television programming schedule. Now that they have a weekly cable television program, it would be insane to think customers would purchase a $10 weekly Pay-Per-View event as well. It is expected that TNA will run 4 quarterly PPV events annually.

Partial credit for the following goes to the Pro Wrestling Torch:

The latest reports on the situation between Bret Hart and Vince McMahon is that many sources feel as though an agreement between the two sides will most likely happen by the end of this year.

Hart is looking for rights to his home video footage, and he also wants to be involved in a storyline which includes either Shawn Michaels, or both Michaels and Vince McMahon, where he can finally conclude the fallout from what happened back at Survivor Series '97. Many feel that this would be something that would mark the complete end of Hart's career and would be used as a type of sendoff, for him to get back at WWE, in a sense, for what happened, before saying goodbye to all of his fans.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall listening to Vince and Bret work out the resolution the that entire Survivor Series fiasco if an agreement gets made.

It would be great if a match with Vince and Bret were to be a sort of shoot match, but I guees that would depend if Bret is still hot over what happened at SS '97. tongue Good for us fans. Not good for Vince! LOL!!

I don't know if Brett is still hot over SS '97, but if you read the post, he would like to do something with either Vince, Shawn, or both, and finally put to rest this whole thing.

Thanks for all the news MKGeek :)

GhostDragon, wouldn't it be funny if Bret came back to fight Vince, only this time Bret screws Vince, in 'real life' as they say about wrestling. Say this:

Vince: Ok Bret, we do an angle where you come back to get me and HBK!!

Bret: Yea, but it has to be in Canada, same arena I got screwed in.

Vince: You got it!!

Then when the match starts Hart would just start sockin the shit outta McMahon until security arrested him. I'm not talking an angle here, I'm talking real life shit lol

I can't find the Torrie poster, but when I do I'll post it here.

Former WWE Wrestler To TNA, Big Announcement, Styles/Jarrett Spoiler:

Partial credit for the following goes to Dave Meltzer:

Expect Jeff Jarrett to defeat AJ Styles for the NWA Title sometime before the debut of their weekly TV show on FSN. The original plan was for Styles to get the title and lose it back to Jarrett before the first TV show, and as of right now that plan still stands. The idea of Styles becoming champion came from Vince Russo, and Jarrett had no problems with it though he feels that he should be the champion once the company moves to weekly TV.

Regarding the TV deal, it is expected that the "surprise announcement" next week on PPV will be the announcement of weekly TV. The 3pm timeslot on Fridays is how it looks right now, though another option that TNA is looking into (if this hasn't all been 100% confirmed yet) is an 11am Sunday slot. The Sunday slot would be more logical, though it will also be more costly.

Many people inside NWA-TNA are predicting that Nathan Jones, former WWE wrestler, will possibly be working with TNA in the not so distant future. Jones currently resides in Orlando, Florida, and with the recent announcement of TNA's TV deal with Fox Sports Net, and having to tape the shows and fly talent into Orlando, the thought is that Jones will eventually end up there. All of this depends on the relationship between Jones and Jeff Jarrett, and whether or not the two got along with one another during the WWA tours a few years ago.

I hope Wrestlemania 21 for the x-box will be better than Raw 2. I enjoyed Raw 2, i liked the create a superstar and also the creat an entrance. I hope for the new wwe game that they add some of the features raw 2 had like the custom soundtracks and the way you can customize the lighting and pyro from your entrance. Also that there is a 4 player story mode.

Moolah Insults Sable, Lesnar/Outkast, More WWE Edits:

Thanks to John Permaul for all of the following:

Fabulous Moolah was on the WB11 Morning News today. She was there promoting the documentary “Lipstick and Dynamite”, and movie she’s in that debut at the Tribeca Film Festival. It’s a behind the scenes look at the past women of wrestling. Moolah demonstrated a head lock on one of the anchor members, John Muller. Moolah discussed how she got her name and how she was introduced into wrestling. She stated how she has 12 brothers and broke into the business by managing Buddy Rogers. Ironically, when asked about the current divas she stated that Sable should leave wrestling and stick with Playboy.

Here is a very interesting fact that I would like to pass along. The current music video from Outkast is titled “Roses”. Over halfway through the music video there is a fight scene that takes place. My brother, Moses, pointed out someone who is either Brock Lesnar or a very good look-alike. You do not see his face, but this person picks up a second individual in the position for the F-5/F-U, and F-U’s him. You only see him from behind, and you can see the tattoos on both shoulders. I’ve searched on the internet to see if this is indeed Brock Lesnar or not, but I haven’t found anything. The video airs frequently on MTV and VH1, so check it out.

A few of the WWE WrestleMania edits mentioned in previous stories have actually been incorrect. The Austin/beer can part was edited; however you can still see the Ultimo Dragon slip. Also, most of the chants heard during the Goldberg/Lesnar match were not edited. They simply were not picked up on the audio that aired. I was there at WrestleMania and the chanting did not die down at all during the match. The fans chanted during the entire match, but only 4 or 5 solid chants were picked up.

Three other major edits did occur on the DVD however. This edit also appears in all of the WWE videogames. Stacy Kiebler’s theme (performed by Kid Rock), Victoria’s theme (performed by t.A.t.U), and the Dudleyz theme (performed by Powerman 5000) were all edited out. The Dudleyz had there previous theme playing instead, while Stacy and Victoria had other custom music playing.

Lastly, here in New York City former World Wrestling Federation personality, Todd Pettengill, and his radio anchor, Scott Shannon, recently came out with a new commercial for their radio station. The commercial is an American Idol parody, with Scott and Todd performing poorly, and then get beat out by American Idol reject, William Hung.

Goldberg A Coward, Big Mick Foley/Barbed Wire Bat News; More:

Credit for the following goes to MMANews.com:

Triple Crown Champ Toshiaki Kawada was very angry yesterday when he heard that Bill Goldberg pulled out of his match against Kawada on HUSTLE-3 at Yokohama Arena on 5/8 and Kawada basically called Goldberg a coward for doing that. Kawada said that he will be working the match injured, so why couldn’t Goldberg, but Kawada said that he thought that Goldberg was actually a man, which he doesn’t really believe anymore. Kawada then basically buried his new opponent Mick Foley by saying that only fans of hardcore wrestling in Japan know who he is and he isn’t worthy of a shot at the Triple Crown. Kawada said that Takada Monster Army Generalissimo Nobuhiko Takada should come out and apologize to the fans before the HUSTLE-3 show for Goldberg not being there and for having Foley being a substitute.

In today's news, a press conference and official signing of the Toshiaki Kawada vs. Mick Foley match for the upcoming HUSTLE-3 show was held this morning. At the signing, Mick Foley stated that he would be bringing his barbed wire bat along with him (he also had it with him at the press conference), and he wants to destroy Kawada's body with it. Foley also said that if any young wrestler or second (most Japanese wrestlers have younger guys or "seconds" come down to accompany them to the ring during the match) got in his way, he would assault them with the barbed wire bat.

Dawn Marie Backstage Heat, Benoit/Triple H Notes, HBK; More:

Headline Posted by Justin Rowland on 08:59:37 AM May/ 7/2004

Credit for the following goes to the Pro Wrestling Torch:

Apparently Dawn Marie has some heat backstage on the Smackdown brand for reportedly having a bad attitude over the past month or so. Many are wondering whether this is legit heat or whether wrestlers are just searching for a female to complain about, since now Nidia and Shaniqua are no longer on Smackdown.

Many wrestlers were wondering why Triple H didn't do the job to Chris Benoit in the three-way match at Backlash because as many know by now, Triple H will be working on his WWE Films project this summer and thus will have to take some time away from wrestling in order to do so. The word going around is that the creative team wanted Benoit to get the victory over Michaels to avenge his loss to Michaels in their singles match before Wrestlemania, and it would also help set up their rematch which took place on RAW this past week. Even with that, the feeling is that they could have had Triple H tap out at Backlash, and then the rematch with Michaels could have been built up with Michaels never being defeated by Benoit, even in the two big three-way matches.

WWE Superstar Announces He Will No Longer Wrestle For Company:

Earlier on WWE's Byte This! webcast which was being hosted by Tommy Dreamer and Bobby Heenan, a fan called and asked Dreamer when he would be making a return to WWE.

Dreamer stated that his current contract with World Wrestling Entertainment ends this July, and he will not be returning to WWE as a wrestler. He did state, however, that he would be looking into some sort of backstage role with the company.

Like Lance Storm has recently done, Dreamer has been considering work in an agent type position with the company, but in essence, openings such as those are very few and far between and it is not known whether Dreamer is the type of guy who can fit that role or not.

Update On Goldberg's Injury, HUSTLE-3 Info; More:

Headline Posted by Justin Rowland on 4:56:21 PM May/ 6/2004

Partial credit for the following goes to PWInsider.com:

I have received word that the reason why Bill Goldberg was pulled out of the 5/8 HUSTLE-3 main event had to do with an injury he sustained while training for the match. Goldberg injured his right hand while "boxing" in order to prepare himself, and it became infected. Reports are stating that despite the injury Goldberg will be fine in coming weeks to return to the ring.

Originally set to be the mystery tag team to face Shinya Hashimoto and Naoya Ogawa at the show were former ECW champion Mike Awesome and Dan Bobish. That was later switched upon Hall and Nash agreeing to terms with Dream Stage Entertainment.

Hey, where did everyone go?? Nobody wanna talk wrestling any more??
A bit of news:

Goldberg Back To WWE, Austin/Hogan Update; More:

Dale Gagner of AWA Wrestling Superstars is still advertising a Steve Austin vs. Hulk Hogan match. WWE had actually sent a "cease and desist" letter for the company to stop using the trademarked "Stone Cold" name, and that is no longer mentioned on the website. Gagner doesn't claim that he has actually signed Austin and Hogan, rather he just states that they are available free agents.

Goldberg's name is still listed on WWE.com's RAW Superstar's page. Take that for what it is worth, but Goldberg did in fact pull out of today's "HUSTLE-3" show in Japan from a "hand injury" (though I'm hearing that the injury is legit). In contrast, Brock Lesnar, who left the company at the same time that Goldberg did, is not listed on Smackdown's Superstars page.

Anyways, I thought SmackDown! was awesome. The Undertaker was pretty badass in his match with the FBI. The way he just sat up like that and turned his head towards Stamboli with that evil look on his face. And that new move he used to finish the match was pretty cool. And the end of the booker T/graveyard segment with that hand popping out of the grave was pretty badass to!. Not sure if that was suppost to be taker's hand sence he was at the arena. maybe it'll be the return of the taker clone!!

But its kinda stupid that Judgement Day is next week and only THREE matches have been made. what a crock!

Im going to check out Afterburn tonight I want to see Taker vs Booker T.That's good Taker is actually wrestling instead of making brief apperances on shows.I think this is the WWE's new plan if the spoilers don't leak out like they usually do.I think there going to make Undertaker just appear randomly so people are going to watch Raw or Smackdown too see if he is there. It's a good plan though equals big ratings.

Fabolous Moolah is right about people like Sable.Sable will be gone soon her contract is up sometime next year.Do you think TNA will become the WWE's NEW competition?I hope so this is exactly what the WWE needs inorder to get better. If TNA becomes popular expect alot of BIG changes from both companies.Like Jim Ross would say "It would be a good ol' slobber knocker."TNA just maybe the next big thing if they do it right. But there going to have a HARD time earning respect though.Since Foxsports dosen't usually have wrestling related topics on there.I hope TNA's 1st show will be good because it determines their feature.
