Actually, I posted the video of Vick 'coming out' in that thread about quarterbacks ;)

Major Legend to be on Raw??? NOT Funk...
-WLW is claiming that Harley Race is expected to appear on WWE RAW tonight.

While this website has not heard anything from WWE sources, the claim at least makes sense, since Race is one of HHH's idols, and RAW's live from Topeka, Race's old stomping ground.

Again, this is just what WLW is mentioning and not fact. So, don't necessarily bet on an appearance, but know that it is something being talked about.

Yeah, but I say that Taker would put up a fight, and as far as making him a beleiver of Christ, I bet Taker already is a believer. This would have been a good topic for discussion, back when Taker was the Devil/Ministry leader, sacrifice guy, or whatever. LOL, that article on Vince's Mom is funny, someone ain't getting a Mother's day gift this year!!!

One last quick news update for today:

Lance Storm Wrestles His Last Match With WWE;

Lance Storm has updated the commentary on his website, www.StormWrestling.com. In it, he talks about retiring from in-ring wrestling.

“A lot of you have been wondering why I have been completely of the road and television the past few weeks,” writes Storm, “Well this is your answer. I have been talking with the office about taking my career in a new direction for some time now.” From what we understand this has been a recent topic between Storm and WWE management since WrestleMania. “I have been dissatisfied with my in ring career for quite a while,” He says, “I have been lost in the quagmire for the better part of the year, with no direction, no focus, and quite frankly no forward motion. This isn’t anyone’s fault so much as it is a compilation of several factors. I have always wanted to be an important part of the product and I had come to the point where I was feeling that I could contribute more outside the ring than I have been inside it. With the encouragement and support of Dave Finlay (WWE road agent and the man I respect most in this business) I started looking into the possibility of becoming a road agent.”

Details On Ted Turner Possibly Starting A New Wrestling Promotion(UPDATE):

There is a story going around that Ted Turner may have his sights on the professional wrestling industry once again. Turner, who is a huge wrestling fans, provided the money for Eric Bischoff's WWE talent raid back in the 90's which allowed WCW to become the #1 wrestling company in the United States.

The following are a few bits of information regarding his new promotion:

Turner and his representatives have talked with NWA:TNA about purchasing a large portion of the company. While there seems to be some interest from TNA, the discussions are preliminary and it's more likely that Turner will start his own company from the ground up, rather than purchase a company that's already trying to make a name for itself.

There is a tremendous pool of free agents available right now. Among those names are "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Bill Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Sting, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash. Most, if not all of these would be given a lot of consideration to being brought into Turner's new promotion. Signing any of these names would add instant credibility to the company and would put them on the map immediately.

It's being reported that Turner's people have contacted a few of these wrestlers about working for his promotion. Although star power is important to make the company a contender to WWE, Turner is also aware of what caused WCW's demise - guaranteed contracts, politics, and allowing talent to have creative control over their characters. Obviously, he doesn't want to make those same mistakes so he's said to be high on signing cruiserweights and wrestlers wioth a more mat-based style.

There is an agreement between AOL-Time Warner and WWE that prevents competition between the two companies until March of 2006 - five years after the sale of WCW to WWE.

In order to make this work, they'll obviously need a televison deal. TNT, the former home of WCW Monday Nitro, has changed its image and now features mostly drama programming. However, TBS is a more likely candidate to air a wrestling show. Also, Jamie Kellner, the person behind eliminating WCW off the network, is no longer in charge.

Plans For Mordecai's Debut, Rene Dupree's New Valet; More:

Hillary Clinton gave an interview to the WWE crew last week during the "Smackdown Your Vote" campaign with Victoria and Chris Nowinski. It's expected to be shown on RAW tonight.

Mordecai worked weekend house shows in suqash matches with Paul London. He's expected to feud with the Undertaker following the Judgment Day PPV.

There is talk of pairing Rene Dupree with Dawn Marie. They tested this at weekend shows by pairing the two up together against John Cena and Torrie Wilson, and it was very well received by the fans.

This is it for me tonight!

Well Lance might not say it's anybody's fault, but I will! furious Now I know that they've tried to have him 'lighten up' his persona and other things, but mothing that has been dramatic where he could have improved his mic abilities.

And this thing on 'Tyranical Ted' is hilarious. He first calls up Vince and basically slaps him with a gauntlet. The he looses interest in WCW which allows Hogan, Nash and Bishoff to take WCW on unsuccessful and divergent paths that left young talent twisting in the wind. 6 Pac for example.

Now he might be interested in getting back in the fray with Vince? His mood swings are really starting to become more strance than they already are.

I know Taker already beleives in God.But the funny thing is that I saw a old Interview with Undertaker and guess what he said?"I have a Soft spot in my heart for kids."It's hard to picture someone who has a gimmick like he has saying that. That new WWE show isn't looking too good.Livewire was the best recap show.I bet it's going to share the same exact set as After Burn and Bottom Line. Those sets are boring.Speaking of Vince and his mom,I was at the Mall on Saturday and this short guy walked by with his son and he was UPSET!You see his son is taller than he is and he was looking up at his son saying "You know what f**** you,get the f*** away from me.You Dumb f***.LOL,I burst out with laughter.Just picture that midget on Seinfield getting real upset and has a potty mouth towards Shaq.

Not really. You should remember that they're just characters on television, and that they don't act like that in person. Taker's got a kid now, so it's not hard to see him saying that.

You're right about the new show, sounds stupid to me. I hate recap shows. I've got a short attention span, and I get bored easy when it comes to shows like that.

LOL, and the mall story, LMFAO!!

Official WWE SmackDown Preview for this week + SmackDown pre-empted in 3 states:

From WWE.com

TORRIE WILSON VS. RENE DUPREE
April 29, 2004
SmackDown! comes to you this week from Oklahoma City where, on the heels of their spat on Café de Rene last week that included a dousing of Torrie Wilson with wine, the 2004 Diva cover girl will face Rene Dupree one on one. While this appears on paper to be a mismatch, last week Dupree brought out a fire from Torrie Wilson after several insulting remarks during Dupree’s inaugural show. Can Torrie actually score the upset? Find out on SmackDown!

Speaking of upsets, last week the unlikely duo of Rico & Charlie Haas upset Rikishi & Scotty 2 Hotty to win the WWE Tag Team Championship. Who will be the first to attempt to dethrone the reigning champions? SmackDown! may have the answer.

Kurt Angle was not at SmackDown! last week as he continued to recover from serious injuries as a result of his fall from a 25-foot ledge. Last week, former SmackDown! General Manager Paul Heyman was called to steer the ship during Angle's absence. Will Angle return this week or will somebody else be called to duty to run the show? Find out on SmackDown!

All of this and more on SmackDown! at 8/7 PM CT on UPN.

***

NOTE: SmackDown! will not be seen at its normal time this week in Milwaukee, Detroit and Grand Rapids.

In Milwaukee, catch SmackDown! on Saturday night (May 1) beginning at 10:30 p.m. on WCGV.

In Detroit, SmackDown! will air Sunday beginning at noon on WKBD.

In Grand Rapids, SmackDown! airs this week Saturday at 7 p.m.

SmackDown! will return to its normal time next week in all three cities.

SHOWDOWN IN THE DESERT
May 3, 2004

Two weeks after the announcement that shocked the wrestling world, the Showdown in the Desert will happen next week on Monday Night RAW. The World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line when Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit meet, live from Phoenix. Will the Showstopper be able to overcome the man who made him tap out at Backlash? Find out on RAW.
Also, it has been a disastrous two weeks for Evolution. Between Triple H not leaving Backlash as World Heavyweight Champion, Ric Flair & Batista losing the World Tag Team Championship the very next night (and then losing the rematch with Edge and Chris Benoit one week later) and Randy Orton being attacked by Shelton Benjamin last week on RAW, the foursome will not be in good spirits on RAW this week. What does that mean for the rest of the RAW roster? Who will feel the wrath of Evolution? Find out on RAW.

All of this and more on Monday Night RAW at 9/8 PM CT on Spike TV.

LOL! Settle down there Junior! I doubt that Velocity will get cancelled any time soon, cause like you said Velocity is only for the new wrestlers and old wrestlers that's about to get kicked out the WWE, so they need to be shown somewhere, so that's why Velocity and Heat will remain at least for awhile!

No More "Stone Cold" Brew(Oh the Humanity!!)

Thanks to 1wrestling & Democratandchronicle.com for the following:

High Falls Brewing Company will be bringing out two new brews this summer, but neither one will be Stone Cold Beer, as previously announced by the WWE.

Today's Democrat & Chronicle made the announcement that the brewery is moving ahead with two other brands due to the project being put “on hold until further developments.” In other words, the WWE no longer wishes to move into the foray of finer malts and hops without a signed contract from Austin.

”It’s unfortunate for us, it’s disappointing, but when you are dealing in the entertainment world, things can change pretty quickly,” High Falls Chief Executive Tom Hubbard said.

Brock Lesnar Turns Down Deal With KC Chiefs:

The following is from Twincities.com:

Vikings coach Mike Tice said Monday he's intrigued by Brock Lesnar's attempt at becoming an NFL player.

"Why not?" Tice said. "Everything intrigues me if it helps us win another game."

Lesnar, who recently retired from professional wrestling and was banged up in a motorcycle accident nine days ago, resumes training for football this week in Phoenix. The 6-foot-4, 290-pounder wants to be a defensive end or tackle.

After the draft Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs invited the former Gophers wrestler to attend their minicamp next weekend. He declined in order to continue training. Lesnar will workout for teams within a month, but the Vikings are expected to bring him in for a private workout. Sports Illustrated plans a feature story on Lesnar's football attempt.

WWE Bans "Stone Cold" Name Usage, Byte This, Undertaker Return:

Thanks to Pwinsider for the following:

-The WWE has apparently sent a cease and desist notice to AWA Superstars, whom were promoting a Hulk Hogan vs Steve Austin match and were using the trademark "Stone Cold".

-Cade, Nitro, & Orlando Jordan will be the guests on this week's Byte This.

-Comcast subscribers have probably already seen the advertisments for Judgment Day. All Comcast markets have advertisments running for Judgment Day which feature The Undertaker.
