BTW, can someone please post Sunday's X-box contest password, thanks. For people whp appreciate my updates, here is the news I found today: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Official WWE Smackdown Preview: Kurt Angle's Condition: Headline Posted by Keith Wilcutt on 10:44:25 PM Apr/19/2004 Thanks to WWE.com for the following: Love him or hate him, what happened to SmackDown! General Manager Kurt Angle last week at the hands of the Big Show should never have to happen to any human being. As SmackDown! went off the air, we were left with the horrible image of Kurt Angle's motionless body after being thrown from a 25 foot ledge. As of right now, Kurt Angle's condition does not look good at all. He was rushed to the hospital where he was diagnosed with a Grade 3 concussion, a broken left leg and serious internal injuries. For more information of Kurt Angle's condition be sure to tune in to SmackDown! this Thursday at 8/7 CT on UPN. |
Just a Reminder:
They risk their bodies every night to put on a show.Kids dont try this at home. This ad was brought to you by the WWE.That's messed up what happened to Angle. When do you think it goes over the line?

Why, are you a wrestler??
Drfatality, they post that ad, just to ocver their asses, and I did think what happened to Angle was a little over the top. Kane did something similar with Steph a few years ago, and who can, even though I want to, forget the imfamous Hawk suicide angle? Sometimes the WWE goes a little too far with some of the things they do, but if fans stop watching, maybe (and I'm being too optimistic)they just might get the hint that it's time to change, and lose some of the stupidity.
NWA-TNA Preview:
TNA PPV PREVIEW FOR APRIL 21: STEEL CAGE SHOWDOWN:
THE STEEL CAGE RETURNS!
NWA World Heavyweight Title Match
Champion Jeff Jarrett vs. Chris Harris
The Road To The Cage has ended, and this Wednesday night "Wildcat" Chris Harris gets his long-awaited rematch against champion Jeff Jarrett inside the confines of a steel cage! Can Harris realize his lifelong dream of becoming NWA World Heavyweight Champion? Harris has already tasted gold inside the cage when America's Most Wanted reclaimed the NWA Tag Team Title against Triple X in one of the most celebrated matches in TNA history - can he do it again? Or, will the veteran Jarrett find a way to walk out of the steel enclosure with the title still around his waist? Tune in this Wednesday night to find out!
NWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE REMATCH
Champions D'Lo Brown and Apollo vs. Kid Kash and Dallas
The newly formed team of D'Lo Brown and Puerto Rican sensation Apollo pulled off a huge shocker this last Wednesday as they beat Kid Kash and Dallas by disqualification to become the new NWA World Tag Team Champions! TNA's rulebook says a title must change hands on DQ, and apparently the monster newcomer Dallas hadn't been studying up! Proud to be new champions but not wanting to win the gold that way, Brown and Apollo will put the titles up in a championship rematch against Kash and Dallas this Wednesday night!
RAVEN AND SABU vs. ABYSS AND THE ALPHA MALE
The recent brawls between Sabu and Alpha Male Monty Brown have some of the most aggressive and brutal in TNA's recent history. After Abyss' interference in the match this past week, TNA officials have signed Raven and Sabu to face Abyss and The Alpha Male this Wednesday night in what is sure to be off the chart! We know Raven and Sabu can co-exist as a team, but can the monster Abyss and the former New England Patriot get on the same page? Tune in this Wednesday to watch!
FOR A SPOT ON TEAM NWA
THE FALLEN ANGEL vs. MICHAEL SHANE
Up for grabs in the match between Michael Shane and Christopher Daniels this Wednesday night will be a spot on Team NWA alongside Jerry Lynn, Chris Sabin and Primetime! With the "Original Playa From The Himalaya" Sonjay Dutt departing the team to concentrate on beating Frankie "The Future" Kazarian for the X Championship, NWA officials have signed a match between the high-flyers this Wednesday night on Pay-Per-View to determine who makes the team as we head to the next X Cup event in May!
SIMON DIAMOND AND SONNY SIAKI vs. GLENN GILBERTI AND JOHNNY SWINGER w/ Trinity
The New York Connection of Glenn Gilberti and Johnny Swinger - along with Trinity - showed their true hatred for Simon Diamond and Sonny Siaki this past Wednesday when they brutally put the beatdown on them. Adding insult to injury, Swinger also shredded Diamond's ring robe to pieces. This Wednesday night, Diamond and Siaki get the chance to dish out the pain against Gilberti and Swinger. What all started when Swinger turned his back on Diamond finally boils over in rage this Wednesday night!
ALL THIS AND MUCH MORE ON APRIL 21 - INCLUDING AJ STYLES, 3LIVE KRU, THE NEW FRANCHISE, DIRECTOR OF AUTHORITY VINCE RUSSO AND MANY MORE! CHECK BACK FOR NEW MATCHES ADDED!

Bret Hart Meets with Vince after last night's RAW:
Although we do not have very many details on this, we do know that Bret Hart and Vince McMahon met after RAW last night.
Bret was NOT at the arena for RAW.
The Hart dungeon peice that was taped with Benoit earlier during the day will be saved for a later peice down the line. It will be the final wrestling segment taped from the house as it's about to be sold.
============
Rumor has it Bret will be at Raw on 4/26

I agree with you, it's time Vince got new writers, this is one of the things that led to Austin's departure last time, and likely this time as well. BTW, I'm glad to that the WWFE didn't show Owen's fall from the roof. Those poor fans that were live in attendance though, are likely still haunted by the images.
The Hawk thing was gruesome likely only for those live, as for us tv viewers, I think most knew it was a work.
LOL, yeah, those were gruesome pics!!
Damn, I never saw that commercial, must of beem on when I took a potty break.

Spoilers regarding The SmackDown! taping...
It has been confirmed that Paul Heyman is indeed backstage at tonights SmackDown taping. However, it is unknown in what capacity. If he is back for an on-air role his character is unknown as the angle had to have been written into the show over the weekend. Therefore, several in WWE are calling it an abrupt move. To kill any possible rumors, Heyman is not there to return as a writer for the brand.
Oh please, please PLEASE! bring him back as SmackDown! GM again. he was fuckin great in that role and was entertaining as hell, and as much as I like Angle, Hes not making that great of a GM right now.
I hope Mordechai makes his debute tonight and most of all, BRING BACK UNDERTAKER GOD DAMMIT!!

I'll answer for him, she's mad hot. And those BK commercials are stupid, the one where the one guy asks "DId you get the same burger as me" then the guy looks around for like a minute and says "Yeah", I thought there was gonna be a punchline or something, but no.

Now, the news:
Bret Hart/Vince Update:
-The Dialog between Vince McMahon and Bret Hart has been ongoing for a while now. It is believed that the two men met after Smackdown! so that they could catch up and discuss some buisness that may involve Bret Hart returning to the WWE in some capacity in the future
HHH & Shane @ Smackdown, Bradshaw, Booker T, RVD & More:
Thanks to PWInsiders for the following:
-RVD & Eddie Guerrero did not work Monday's House Show's because they were given the day off.
-Tim White worked as a an agent last night at Smackdown! White has recently suffered a shoulder injury that could end his days as a referee.
-Many of the wrestlers backstage know that Bradshaw is not getting over with his new character, but they don't speak up because this idea is one that Vince is very high on. Bradshaw reportedly went way too long on a promo at a house show this weekend.
-HHH & Shane McMahon were backstage at Smackdown! last night.
Official WWE RAW Preview for next week:
From WWE.com:
Monday Night RAW comes to you next week from Topeka, where World Heavyweight Champion Chris Benoit will undoubtedly be in a joyous mood after enjoying the homecoming of a lifetime in Alberta, Canada just last week. Not only did Benoit successfully defend the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash in his native Edmonton, but on RAW in Calgary, Benoit & Edge captured the World Tag Team Championship by defeating Ric Flair & Batista.
But with two Championships around his waist, how will Benoit handle the challenges of having to defend both titles? RAW will come to you only one week before Benoit defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Shawn Michaels. How will both prepare leading up to the match? Watch RAW to find out
Also last week, Kane revealed that he felt he was going soft and that he would find somebody to sacrifice. An enraged Kane Chokeslammed Matt Hardy to Hell. Are there more victims in Kanes future? Find out on RAW.
All of this and more on Monday Night RAW at 9 pm/8 CT on Spike TV!
This is all for now.

For those interested, I discovered that on WWE.com, in the Raw Superstars section, Steve Austin's name is not on there, but Goldberg's name remains. Also, both WWE sites for both superstars remain as well. Me thinks the WWE might still hope to get both back in the near future. I for one think Raw sucks without either of them. I'd like to see Benoit vs. Goldberg, because I'm tired of seeing Trips and Micheals going for the gold. There are other Raw guys who (maybe) deserve a shot, like Edge, Kane, Batista possibly, and the list goes on. I don't want to see Sheldon Benjamin, Garrison Kade or Tajiri challenge though, simply because they ain't WWE champion material, let them fight over the IC or the tag titles. But these are just my opinions.

Ted Turner may start new promotion with Austin
Posted by Aaron Rift on 04/22/2004 at 12:08 PM
The following is from Dave Scherer of PWInsider:
- I have heard from a few well places sources that Ted Turner is seriously considering a return to the business that helped put his SuperStation WTBS on the map 25 years ago, professional wrestling.
- As the story goes, when AOL merged with Time Warner, Turner signed documents as he was losing more of his power within the company. One of them was that he would not compete with AOL Time Warner in the wrestling business. Our sources tells us this agreement ends in March of 2005.
- In March of 2001, Brad Siegel and Jamie Kellner effectively killed WCW by canceling its programming off of TBS and TNT. The company was sold to WWE, which then gutted it. A source close to the situation told me that there is a five year no-compete for wrestling programming between AOL Time Warner and WWE, which would expire in March of 2006
- In order for a promotion to work, they would need TV. TNT has changed its image to the drama network so it's not expected that the proposed company could air there, but TBS is wide open. Plus, Kellner is no longer in charge and he was the main opponent to airing wrestling on the network.
-The word making the rounds is that Turner may already be laying the groundwork for promotion. One source told me that he has already sent out feelers to Steve Austin and Bill Goldberg about being involved with the project if it goes forward. If it all comes together, those at least on of those two would be featured part of the new group, with preferably both being there. Much like the jump of Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall to WCW in the mid 90s could be exactly what a new company would need to get off the ground running.
- Turner has always had a lot of loyalty to wrestling so while it's early in the game, this is a story with legs that we will continue to follow.

Trish Stratus Featured On ESPN.com Radio
Posted by Wade Needham on 04/22/2004 at 04:55 PM
Below is the article from ESPN.com:
In making her first return appearance to AllNight, Trish Stratus presented us with a dilemma. For as long as we can remember, we have always loved and lusted for the 3-Time WWE Babe of the Year. However, things have changed in the world. Gas prices and William Hung notwithstanding, our toughest task is believing that Trish has actually turned evil. While it was developing for months, Trish officially became the subject of jeers instead of cheers officially at Wrestlemania XX. Well, Todd Wright simply viewed that as another opportunity to receive a little more Stratusfaction. Besides, we never really thought of Trish as the girl next door anyway. Seriously, what neighborhood has someone like that laying out by the pool in the back? Therefore, we here at AllNight are firmly (yes, indeed) on board with Trish being bad and can only hope and fantasize that she will do very bad things to guys other than Jericho in the near future.
While the spirit of democracy is based around the voting process and freedom to choose, there are times when it fails miserably. Whether it involves a post-season baseball award, the college football coaches poll or a race for political office, obvious injustice is often the result of this process. For the last three years, however, World Wrestling Entertainment has been there to reinforce our faith in society as a whole. In 2001, 2002 and once again in 2003, two words have been deservedly synonymous with the Babe of the Year award: Trish Stratus. Just the mere mention of that name brings immediate accountability for those of us smart enough to know of her "100 percent Stratusfaction Guarantee." Trish's guarantee is a standing one, but we honestly don't care whether she's standing, sitting, kneeling, running, flexing, slamming, etc. It's Trish's presence alone that was needed here in The Women of AllNight, and the multiple-time WWE Women's Champion delivered in her first appearance. Not to challenge the authority of Mr. McMahon, but if Trish gets bored with the constant battles with Molly Holly, Gail Kim and Lita, we here have the potential to position her against the likes of Kitana, Leeann and Nikki Ziering to give her new challenges. It's just the thought that counts. One more thing, now that Trish has rightfully 3Peated as BOTY, shouldn't there be another "O" in this award's abbrevation?
Matt Hardy's Face Turn, Lita News, Angle Storyline
Posted by Andy Steven on 04/22/2004 at 03:09 PM
Matt Hardy is in for a big push in the coming weeks. The plan is to have Hardy and Lita re-unite as hinted at last week on RAW.
The Undertaker is scheduled to face Booker T at Judgment Day and is expected to return to SmackDown! prior to the PPV. It could come as soon as next week although that's not confirmed.
As it stands right now, Kurt Angle is expected to work the weekend house shows. The last we heard, Angle was supposed to do a wheelchair gimmick to sell the idea he just suffered a broken leg.
Rey Mysterio is off this weekend house shows due to dizzyness as we reported last week.

To update why Rob Van Dam missed Monday's house show, he was actually in Kelowna, BC promoting Smackdown and was not given the day off as first reported.
WWE is having a half price sale on Steve Austin merchandise at Shopzone. Austin merchandise is usually the top seller.
Due to Stanley Cup hockey on Monday, Canadian viewers will not see Raw on Monday night at its regular time. Instead, it will air on Monday at midnight ET/9pm PT and Tuesday, April 27 at 8pm ET/5pm PT.

WWE today posted the 2004 version if the Judgment Day Website. It is available at www.wwejudgmentday.com. It looks as if WWE is going back to how they were doing their websites back before ManiaXX, which doesn't include a lot of information on history or upcoming matches. Really not that impressive.

Hopefully Jeff has had enough time to recover from his lingering injuries. I remember him noticably favoring his hip or some other part of his lower body when he'd move around in and out of the ring.
Well it'll be good to see him back!

Damn, I would of been so damn disapointed if I was actually at SmackDown! and Undertaker's music started, but never shows up. At least he actually might be returning next week.
LOL!@ Rico and Charlie haas as Tag Team Champions. thats gonna be one hillarious tag team right there.
Rico has been Tag Team Champion twice now, But have you noticed that both times, he was the mystery partner for both teams? The first with Rikishi in 2002 and now with Charlie Haas
THANK GOD! Paulie is back! SmackDown! needed him. I hope he stays as General Manager of SmackDown!
