Yeah, I read a longer one of those several months back.

I like the one you posted though. Excellent use of myths surrounding Tombstoner, the white hand said to be on your shoulder, and the original religious hysteria surrounding Pokemon back in the late 90's. One of the tones in the original theme emulates a child faintly chanting "La la, la la, la la la, la, la la" with the beat.

I understand the noise problem. It makes my nose tingle, but that's the sonic frequency. My step mom's voice resonates my eye sockets when she raises her voice. Ghastly's cry is probably the most offensive sound left. We need a Pokemon that makes modem noise. Remember they also had visual problems, with the anime episode Electric Soldier Porygon causing Epileptic seizures.

Funny though, that vid of the Lavender theme with the scrolling static visual, with ghost, and Unown at the end. The Ghost tower was replaced with a radio tower, and Unown communicate through radio waves. Some of the GS "new" Pokemon were designed before Red/Blue, they didn't have room to add everything. People have various beliefs about radio ghosts.

What are these "creepy pasta" memes anyways?
Just an internet ghost story?

Back in my day, we had camp fires for that.

I caught a freaking Bagon with 31 HP, 24, 25 Att, 24,25 Def, 31 Sp. Att, and 30 Sp. Def, and 15 Speed. Damn straight I saved and raised that bastard!
Ah, Sawsbuck changes with the season.
I thought it was set to the season you caught it in.

My fav is Winter.

G/S was kinda screwy in Kanto, having strong ass trainers in areas with weak wild pokemon. People thinking they try starting out with a new team of starter level Pokemon got no chance, unless they kept a couple high leveled Pokemon.

Caught Latios with Master ball. Still waiting to win another in Emerald's department store lottery to catch that Latios. sad

Speaking of deer-like pokemons...

Stantler needs to evolve into a cool looking Moose pokemon. Maybe it could be Normal/Ice or Normal/Grass?

I thought Stantler was a Caribou(Reigndeer), then again, I don't see enough Moose or Caribou to tell the difference.

Ibex mountain goat Ice/Rock

White sheet ghost Ghost/Normal

Kamaitachi, the Japanese wind sickle weasel Flying or Ghost/Flying

Speaking of Kamaitachi, any good theme movesets for Buizel or Sneazel? Sonicboom, Razor Wind, Swift, Icy Wind, etc...

This month's CoroCoro is scheduled for release this Wedensday, and is said to be packed with tons of new info on X and Y.

As usual, the magazine has been (allegedly) leaked today. The folks at serebii.net are translating and testing its legitimacy, but whenever something hits serebii.net, it always been true. grin
XY Pokedex

Serebii.net

There's a Fighting type panda. Called the Naughty Pokemon, it's evo is probably Fighting/Dark. Finally, a panda

Gogoat, a Grass type goat. Finally a goat.

Electric/Normal seems like an odd type. Meh, unaffected by ghosts.

The lil robin is cute. Can't wait to see it's evo(s).

Electric/Normal? At first I thought it was neat, but then I realized that defensively, it'll get stomped by Ground and Fighting types... But hey, it could still work if it's strong enough. I really hope it has a strong evolution.

I like the goat, it loooks cool. The bird looks cool too. It'd be cool if it were to evolve into a roadrunner then an Ostrich.

Here's an upclose view of the main character riding a Gogoat, and yes, this is actual gameplay.

And here are the U.S. box art for X and Y.

And more news! The main characters in X and Y can be highly customized! You the player can obtain new clothes and accessories as you progress in the game. The extent of the clothes amd accesories have yet to be revealed, but my guess is that it is pretty high.

Yeah, you can pick from 3 versions of a Male or Female.

People are making a big deal about screens showing diagonal motion, when it was in the original trailer.

Also, while looking through my old sketch pads, I came across a picture I drew of an Eevee being sitting on the limb of a giant Sudowoodo.

It has been sort of a hobby of mine to create pokemon generations, and in the past I managed to create a total of seven, with pokemon, gym leaders, elite four, and everything else; they weren't actual games, just mapped out.

Over the years, I lost most of what I did, drawings included. Within recent years, I revised all I could remember into three generations:

1. Pokemon Moonlight/Sunlight/Starlight
2. Pokemon Bloodstone/Topaz/Amnethyst
3. Pokemon Mercury/Venus/Neptune (I realized I had the wrong generation titles)

I lost some of that too, though. sad
Is that clock an homage to T.T. from Diddy Kong Racing?
Excellent reference to a time trial ghost.

It's specter of Time pendulum evo looks gloomy.
Maybe make an alt, jolly evo, a cat clock that phases in/out like the Cheshire Cat.

Emotional based evo.

Love type eevee. I send in that Emoteon...

Is that a portal in the bird's belly?
Locust are edible. Has God sent you a plague, or a feast?

I've actually never played Diddy Kong Racing. sad

Psionime is based on any general hand clock, while its evolved form, Abueliempo is based loosely on the grandfather clock.

Yes! Allaven are the gates to the Underworld. In the generation I made, Pokemon Mercury & Venus, you have to catch an Allaven and use its move Gate Key outside of battle to go to the Underworld. There, you see all kinds of special pokemon and have a chance at catching an exclusive Diabolge.

In battle, Gate Key sharply increases Allaven's evasiveness.

Anyhoo, I really like Eelekk and Marmox. They look really cool, and I'm kinda waiting for an evolved form for Marmox. lol

I have no pictures, but I've been working my own little "fan update" for the series since the 3rd gen for new evolutions and new abilities. I've been keeping up pretty well so far... I won't post everything here because the file's huge, so here are the abilities, some updated, and a lot new.

Abilities:
Damp: Prevents all self-destructing moves (Explosion, Self-Destruct, Overload, Spirit Bomb).
Illuminate: When entering the field, reduces opponent’s accuracy by one stage.
Hustle: 1.5x increase in a move’s power at the cost of 20% accuracy.
Keen Eye: Additionally, the user’s attack’s accuracy remains consistent through opponent’s evasiveness changes and user’s accuracy loss.
Plus/Minus: When in the presence of Plus/Minus, user’s Sp. Attack and Attack increase by 1.5x.
Run Away: Also allows user to escape from trapping moves and abilities (Spider Web, Mean Look, Wrap, Arena Trap, etc.).
Unnerve: The opponent will never use their consumable held item while this pokemon is in battle.
Charge-Up: When HP is low, Electric attacks do 1.5x more damage.
Stupefy: Opponent is astounded by massive intellect, and has Sp. Att. lowered when entering the field.
Provocation: When infected with a status, user’s Sp. Att. increases by 1.5x (special Guts).
Petrified: When Asleep or Frozen, user’s defences are multiplied by 2.
Pure Energy: Sp. Att is doubled.
Brick House: Defence is doubled.
Nature Block: Ground, Fire, Flying, and Water attacks do half damage.
Dragon Defense: Immune to Dragon attacks; when hit by one, user recharges 1/4 of the user's HP.
Body Heat: When hit with a Fire attack or in the sun, user’s body heat intensifies and Water attacks become ineffective.
Auto-Resist: User becomes resistant to the first neutral attack type that hits it.
Wall: User’s resistances are heightened by 50%.
Soft Cloud: Immune to Normal and Fighting attacks.
Dodge: User avoids Rock attacks, granting immunity.
Boulder Absorb: Rock attacks recharge 1/4th of max HP, including damage taken from Stealth Rock (absorbs Stealth Rock off the field).
Flash Freeze: Immune to Ice attacks; when hit, user’s Ice attacks do 1.5x more damage.
Thirst: Immune to Water attacks; when hit, user's Speed increases by 1.5x.
Acid Body: Steel attacks do no damage; when hit by one, opponent receives 1/4 of damage that would've been done. Poison attacks also hit Steel types for neutral damage.
Iron Sheen: Any Special attacks used cause 1/16 recoil on the opponent.
Metal Plating: Immune to Steel attacks; when hit by one, user’s Defense increases by 1.5x.
Fire Starter: When in the sun, user generates a heat spell that damages all players by 10%. Will not damage Fire-types, but triggers Flash Fire.
Sun Eater: Restores 1/16 maximum HP in sun.
Brightness: When in the sun, user's evasiveness raises by 1.5x.
Cold Bulk: Immune to Ice attacks; when hit, user’s Defense increases by 50%.
Amplify: Sound-based attacks are more potent (attacks do 1.5x damage, stats are dropped/raised by an additional level).
Echolocation: Opponent’s Evasion boosts are ignored while the user is present. Attacks maintain normal accuracy.
Rust and Rot: Traps (SR, Spikes, Poison Spikes) cannot be placed when user is on the field.
Spike Body: When traps are on the field, the user recovers 25% of their max HP upon switching in and removes the traps (still receives status from Toxic Spikes).
Thistle Absorb: Recovers HP when attacking opponents with Iron Sheen, Rough Skin, Iron Barbs, or if an opponent is wearing Rocky Helmet, Rowap Berry, or Jaboca Berry. User will recover whatever damage would've been dealt.
Volatile: When hit with a Super Effective attack, the user unleashes a 200 Base Power Normal-type attack and faints.
High Guard: Attacks that change stats (opponent/self) do half damage. (Draco Meteor, Meteor Mash, Psychic, etc). Attacks that cause status effects only are not effected.

Pokemon 2013 Spring Friendly Tournament taking place online soon, who else'll be participating? Do so before time is up!
You need B2W2 to play, but you can use any Pokemon that's in the B2W2 Unova Dex, including the legendary Dragons and the event ones (Kyurem and its forms, Reshiram, Zekrom, Victini, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, etc). grin

I see a few of the abilities you made surround Toxic Spikes; do you not like the move?

I also noticed the ability Damp. Did you make that before the one in the game was made? I wouldn't be surprised if you did. I came up with candle pokemon long before Game Freak did, only mine were Psychic types.

Actually, the last few abilities are more for dealing with all the hazards. I find that they dominate a lot of the metagame, especially Stealth Rock, and since the only way they can be removed is if one uses Rapid Spin (a weak, rare move), or prevented if one has Magic Guard (Espeon and Xatu), so I figured that giving some weaker pokemon the ability to prevent/remove those traps would at least create more of a risk in using them and make more pokemon viable for use. I also came up with 3 more moves to remove them...
Fire Roll: User quickly rolls and ploughs through traps to hit opponent (removes Spikes, etc.). 85%, 20 PP, 85 Dmg, Phy..
Tornado: Winds blow to create a powerful spinning projectile; also removes Spikes, etc. 85%, 20 PP, 85 Dmg, Sp..
Cleanse: User clears their mind and cleanses the field to remove impurities and traps (Spikes, Leech Seed, etc.). 100%, 40 PP, 20 Dmg, Sp..
I made those attacks Fire, Flying, and Psychic respectively, so that the users who have the worst problems dealing with traps like Stealth Rock can at least use something to clear them. Cleanse was meant to create a Rapid Spin that Ghosts couldn't prevent.
Damp exists as a relatively lame ability, but I decided to update it to reflect some new Self-Destruct-esque attacks I created, as the description of the move specifies the prevention of Self-Destruct and Explosion in the game. I think I have to update that one, as I think it also takes into account Aftermath...
As for the pokemon I made up, they're all evolutions to make the more useless ones more competitive.

Ice would also greatly appreciate some anti-stealth rock moves, heh. Poor Articuno never stood a chance... Not that it'd be a good move on Articuno, though, as he'd still lose 50% of his hp to switch in and use the move... But it would certainly stop stealth rock from being set up on him when he's already in. They really need to adjust that move.... Nothing should be able to take 50% of your hp before you even get to attack.

For sure, that's why I made one of them a Special Flying attack, to give it an attack it could use (there are so few Special Flying attacks), and to keep pokemon like Gyarados from using the attack with its better stats.
I'd also make Ice have a 50% Defense boost in Hail because Rocks get a Sp. Defense boost in Sandstorm.
