It was kind of obvious that BRC,Dairou,N/S,and a few others would remain top tiers because their shit was discovered a while back.It's still what people use today,but slightly modified sometimes.

You do know about the plant glitch that was discovered a month ago or something?

Unbreakable infinite combo that works anywhere.Noob also has the same shit but only in corners.

Now,how do you expect to win against a character that when after they throw you,you're already dead?But that fact is,N/S players don't even have to do this because he already has a perfectly safe 50/50 mix up.

I'm not necessarily suggesting N/S > BRC,but you've gotta look at this shit that he has man.

Well,I don't remember you stating this exactly but it doesn't matter.But I do agree with N/S being Dairou's hardest match up.f,f+4 can beat TS Drop and even his Teleport at times.Smoke Cloud is also good to prevent some combos (when TS Drop hits),and probably more important,when you do Teleport with Dairou,you'll always end up eating the Cloud.

i didnt pick sindel vs his bo yet, mainly because we may face in the next to final round of the mk online tourney..
i think her back 2 could be a trade off hit to his f+3. like sindels back 2 and kobras down 3...

I'll tell you how to beat Bo with Mileena. You can do it but you have to time an "interrupt" durring the f+3. The Way you have to do it is as soon as you see the f+3 and you block it successfully, immediately hold up on the controls and quickly do the 4,1 pop-up combo in her second stance. That way you will track him if he tries to side step and in the process you will get two things:

Either a juggle combo, or he will use a breaker.

I have used this method time and time again and it seems to work pretty well. You must time your interrupt well or else you will eat a throw or another f+3. What usually winds up happening after the Bo player realizes that Mileena can infiltrate after his f+3, they will resort to distance fighting by using the stomp and doing random puke puddles to keep you away. I usually try to time Sai blasts durring those random puke puddles and ground stomps. It usually turns into a turtle match at that point until the time runs out.

i know all infinites, so this is clear, i won't use them

but what's with the following things:

1. d+1 throw, f,f+4 d,b+2 d+1 b+1 walk up d+1 throw and repeat combo
(that is not a infinite, isn't it?)

or, starting with noob:

2. 2 1 1 cs walk up smoke cloud throw then combo (look above)

what's with that 2 things, would u guys tolerate this or do u think it's lame?

above all, the combos with the cloud.. how often would u allow this special move used in a combo?

mastermalone,interesting find.It seems to work with every character,but most don't get anything when BRC does f+3 from far.

nitekin,just play N/S how you want (without infinite combos though).He could be considered the best in the game,so you won't "please" people however you may play him.

-Throw, f,f+4, d,b+2, d+1, b+1
-walk up and either do Throw/Smoke Cloud

This is his best 50/50 mix up and the safest.It's the most effective way to play Smoke.With Noob,just do 4, d,b+2 into mix ups (another 4 or Throw into f,f+4 where Smoke will come out).

Yes our 1st 6 match you dominated 5 of them. Mileena's 50/50 is better than i expected. I only used bo cause i got tired of the free throws you were doing :) I did get you 10-8 in our no throw matches dan...

Very true about distance but even if he uses it from far all you have to do is keep him away from you and he is useless. If he closes in you know what to do. I have developed the technique and it seems to work every time. It's still no walk in the park but it proves to be a frustrating match for the Bo player as well. With Smoke you can interrupt the f+3 on a successful block and immediately perform the smoke cloud. If he attepts to move in he's toast. If he moves back you can chip him with the ninja stars and quickly perform another smoke cloud to "protect your neck". If it's distance fights that Bo turns to, be sure to pick a character with range and distance attacks that are effective and use the interrupt whenever possible.

Well,I can beat scrubby BRC's who lack a proper mind game with most high-tiers and high mid-tiers.

Anyway,I had my cousin doing f+3 on me and I tested pretty much everything.You can punish the BRC player with almost everything as long as you side step the second hit of f+3 and react very fast,and come up with your move.But it sucks if your mis-time your side step or move...

I did the same thing with my friends help and I found that the best counter attacks durring the interrupt were the double hit axe kick moves that you can still perform while holding up. He still must be within range though and to me he is not much of a threat while at a distance. If a bo player wants to win against this method he will have to close in sooner or later and his 50/50 game must be superb.

the double ax kick and the hook sweep(in weapon stance) neutralize the effect of BRC f+X

After playing MKD so much, I have to say that I’m not surprised with the results.

Sadly I am not surprised to see that no female managed to reach the Top 5 places. I am not even surprised to see most of them rated so low, though it sucks.

I do feel Li Mei, Sindel and Mileena are rated too low, I’m very skilled with the 3 of them, but then again, you guys know better about gameplay.

Oh, and Liu Kang is extremely powerful, I thought he was going to be on the top 5, I guess 6 is good for him though.

Wow, great job on doing the tier list guys.
I've been in many forums and i can honestly say that this one has the highest level of players.

Anyway i started playing MK:D thinking i'm pretty good (didn't play in the internet, don't have one but maybe i will buy one soon), and than i talked with someone from my city who is btw the second best player in Tekken 4 in europe.
He played MK:D for about 2 hours and owned every player after with BRC, Dairou and Darrius. He didn't even opened any of the other characters because he doesn't have enough time...
Anyway, to make a long story short, after 25 battles in a row, i didn't even win once.
I did however learned how to play Scorpion right (f+1, spear, CS, CS, b+1, CS walk forward, Fire and throw or f+1 again).
Only after all these fights, i've learned that he played the man who won the MK:D tournament in the US and won 8 out of 10 fights.
Now he got bored from the game after not losing to any1 anymore and is waiting for T5.

This was just a little history about myself^^
So, the reason i'm writing all of this is because i want to know how to play Dairou right. It would be a great help if you can write all the good moves and how exactly i need to play him.

Thanks in advance. Edit: btw, is it just me or is there an abuse of Kenshi's Teleport to do an almost impossible to escape throw after?

its true with kenshi, even more so in his judo stance.

It's very possible, as soon as you see him teleport just low poke him with a jab. That method works every time for me an many others.

... that are my first ten, in the mid tier after baraka i am not that sure, but i agree 100% with konqrr, mileena IS mid tier, god lol she and her speed and 7 free throws man..
kira sub zero and li mei are the worst characters in the game imho

Agreed. Mileena is rated TOO low IMO. Same with Sindel.

Mileena is pretty good with the Mian Chuan. I often do the 4, 1....4, 3, CS combo which does 30% damage.

Li Mei can be pretty good with Kunlun Dao. B + 3 is a good move and 2, B + 3 is a good combo.

Sub-Zero is capable of high damage and the Ice Clone is great for playing mind games.

As for Kira, she can be powerful (namely in Kenpo), but I don't see too much effectiveness with her overall.
