If the MK team could create a build with a lot of random activity (cards) shooting and floating around, that could be a great visual!

Not really the kind of character you want to see beat out the dozens of other options, but as a functional character, it could be interesting!

Another problem with Double Down (Aside from the fact that he's in no way iconic) would be that wouldn't his skin flying off to turn into magic cards, although cool looking if done right, warrant an M-rating by virtue of the fact his skins flying off?

Nah!

As a CG model the cards would look more like they were just materializing off of the model, I'm sure. Which, really, reflects what you see in the comics, which looks more like a guy covered in a weird fleshy card pattern, because every card thrown is replaced.

That, and ripping card-skin off is exactly the kind of abstraction that lets developers avoid the ratings.

There's also one more thing people are forgetting...downloadable content with characters perhaps? Who's to say Midway and DC aren't planning 4 extra characters or 6 say 2 or 3 from each side to be released few months after the games out? hmmm

Just saying...now that Boon/Midway confirmed they will put in patches, downloadable content now with next gen etc

I hope we get Cage and Raiden, and I think the last spot will be Reptile... but I hope not. I'd rather see Kung Lao, Kano or any other non-ninja. I'm not even a fan of Lao or Kano, but I REALLY don't want a third ninja--that'd be nearly a third of the roster! I'd even prefer Mileena to him and I REALLY dislike her.

Gee, I hope thats not how the character layout it is. Givin that I already wrote in pinkrangers thread about how I feel about this game even happening kung lao should be a main character and if there makin hidden characters "as mk is unperdicatble like that for ethier good or bad" they need to tread discreatly on that as mk fans have reacted to this game as a bassically an insult & I think that it will determine the main layout of mks future. Ethier way they need to keep a theme from the last mk & whatever dc game before that was in some regards and I think that is a huge gap that mk created for itself to ethier crash or burn(fall.) P.S.
