As I see it we can thankfully roule out a third ninja. I hope. I say again, I hope. If they do that it will show how obviously servitoristic Midway is in contrast to the quality. And a third ninja is anything but quality. They are vermin anyway.

It's very likely for Raiden and WW to be in so they're automatic I assume. Then Lex Luthor and Deathstroke might be in if the Kotaku hints are right (arch villian and ninja villian respectedly). Mileena and Reptile for iconic villians on the MK side.

Also, as for Darkseid since he seems to fit the epic villian, he's probably the boss merged with possibly Shao Kahn.

Raiden, Reptile, Sektor, Baraka are my hopes for the MK side.

I would really love "V" but not ebing DC and only a published item, I doubt we will see him.

i think raiden is pretty much a given considering that the story of the game will put earthrealm in danger.

Raiden will most likely be in, Kano maybe, Kung Lao probably not, Reptile maybe, Baraka not a chance.

For Luthor, I’m not going by personal preference, I’m going by what works with the Kotaku list and other rumors I’ve seen.

Every creditable MK site posted the Kotaku list as a headline, and who else is more popular an archvillain than Luthor. Archvillain has to be the main foe and the main foe to most DC’s character aren’t known to casual people. I’d bet Joker and Luthor would be the only ones named.

If I'm wrong on the list, good.

I could understand that Boon wants to go for iconic, but taking it to a point where you won't include any suitable characters (Deathstroke, Lobo, Martian Manhunter, Vandal Savage) but might include lame ass fighters like Lex Luthor is selling out!

let's see some firestorm, solomon grundy, and red tornado for dc. for mk, let's say a shokan, doesn't matter which one, kabal to compliment flash, and fujin to compliment tornado. as for a hybrid boss, i think an onaga/darkseid combo is sexy. onagaseid! sounds pimp when spoken aloud. exclude noob, reptile, anymore ninjas for that matter, for mk. it won't happen but keep ww, aquaman, and hawkman out for dc. please.

Assuming there will be ten characters on each side, and the unplayable boss, my hope is for:

8. RAIDEN - The original poster boy for the original MK arcade game...c'mon YOU ALL KNOW he's in! Calm down!

9. MILEENA - Like Scorpion is to Sub-Zero, Mileena is to Kitana. You can't have one without the other.

10. Reptile or Johnny Cage - I don't like either that much, but they're at least semi-iconic, and have big fan bases.

8. Wonder Woman - I think they're deliberately messing with us by not confirming her this far.

9. Deathstroke - 'Ninja Villain' Duh

10. I want to say either Martian Manhunter or Black Canary, NOT Lex Luthor, but 'Arch Villain' seems nearly synonymous with Lex...and I feel we need at least ONE more villain from DC...

And of course SHAO KAHN and Darkseid as the bosses...or maybe 'Shaoseid'? Whatever
