No,The next best choice would Braniac or Darksied which along with Luthor are Superman's Top 3. Besides,if Joker can be in a fighting game so can Luthor since at least Luthor knows how to fight and he'd can always use his power suit.

Lobo because Cinder off the Midway boards (has some connection to the MK team I believe) posting he would be cool, along with the head writer Vogel saying he likes him.


For MK:
Reptile and ?

I think Reptile is almost a sure bet, not sure about the last choice.

Lex Luthor and Lobo are the most likely for the DC side IMHO.

Kotaku's list of hints for the DC characters is proving highly accurate so archvillian is most likely Lex Luthor. Again, if you look at purely iconic/popularity then Lex (probably with Powersuit) is more than likely in.

I choose Lobo because he perfectly fits the MK vibe. He's a brutal and violent thug who likes killing people. Also he was in Boon's crossword puzzle.

JC and Reptile for MK. The short answer why is because they were both in the 1st MK movie. (My full explanation is in the Reptile & Baraka thread).

one of the last characters is obviously Mileena and not because my opinion is dictated by the fact that she's my favorite character. Let me explain.

Reptile = Too Many ninjas. Already have Scorpion and Sub-Zero, we don't need that many ninjas. Excessive and unnecessary.

Kung Lao = Already have Liu Kang, our Shaolin monk fighter. Again, excessive. Plus, do people even really like him that much?

Goro = Boon is smart enough not to have bosses as playable characters, at least not for a game like this.

Johnny Cage = We have too many good guys. Where are the villains? Plus, in this story, he's dead at this point.

Mileena = Not a ninja, a villain, never a sub-boss, not a shaolin monk. People would say we already have Kitana but we wouldn't say something like that if it was sub-Zero and scorpion. You can't have one without the another. Kitana and Mileena are just as important as they are. They are the status symbols of MK. Plus, Mileena became very iconic with all the Deception trailers and tv spots that depict her fight with Baraka. Plus, her story is more developed than Reptile or kung Lao. If Mileena is not the perfect canditate for this game, then i don't know who is.

If I hear one more "Johnny Is Dead" comment, I will rip my balls off.

i think mileena has a pretty good chance of getting in. i'm almost positive that last two MK characters are johnny cage and mileena.

i'm more positive about cage than mileena, they could put reptile in.

One of them will be Reptile or Baraka (maybe even both) and I'm voting Baraka. Also Mileena won't be in. Then they'd have to put another DC female in... Nope it's not going to happen

between baraka and reptile i have a feeling it would be reptile just because he is more iconic.

OH and about the whole no mileena thing, i beleive she will make it and just because there is already two girls on each side maybe on of the girls counterparts are a man!!! Sonya is not so manly for no reason lol and i think her and flash would be better coounterparts :)

I think it's among Cage, Reptile, and Mileena.

Cage and Reptile were in the first game and that seems to be the pattern, barring Kitana and Jax. Frankly, I find one of the two remaining spots a tossup between these two. Or hell, it could be just these two.

Mileena's chances for getting in are high, though. I know the people at Midway read their forums as well as MKO and it's damn hard to miss the amount of fans asking for Mileena's inclusion. If she isn't part of the roster, she will most definitely be one of the characters available for download, assuming the game has that feature.

not true...im a straight guy and i have played Mileena since her debut in MK2. In some cases, guys do play the girls.

^ I think oracle meant (in a sarcastic tone) that there's no reason why guys couldn't fight against girls in whatever universe as in Shang Tsung vs. Catwoman parallel for example.

I mean I doubt gender is a big deal when it comes to matchups. But anyway, like I said before JC, Reptile or Mileena are my guess for any of those two spots on the MK side.

since we are on the topic of man vs women i played marvel vs capcom and i dont beleive that that game had a balanced roster either, i am not sure so dont hold it against me......so thats why i think mileena will make it and thet need a female villian and she is iconic. there are only about three morre very iconic characters left: Johnny Cage, Mileena, and reptile. i want Mileena and reptile...but i am betting it will be mileena and johnny cage :(

don't count out mileena and baraka yet. johnny is most definitely going to be in so yeah that's one. but kung lao gets left out of things A LOT so i'm putting my money on cage and mileena.

johnny cage all the way..apparently boon said no reptile, so kung lao fits nice i think
