Please make this happen. DO IT! Cause MKX seriously needs that. I have not seen the full story but I heard that a lot of the characters on the roster don't actually have any important role in the story. I may be wrong because I have seen the full thing for myself but that's what I've been hearing.

The main problem people have are that some of the playable characters are not really in story and some people in story are not playable. At least that is what I think. Adding on characters that are in the story already would help.

Well frankly a LOT of potential DLC candidates ALREADY have story mode involvement. Making them DLC would just cement their presence as playable and do us fans a good fan service.

That said for those not present in story (Say Noob, or Cyrax, or even Tremor, who we already know is coming) there's always still their Bio and Arcade Mode Ending to add a little backstory and info to their presence. Worked well enough for Skarlet, Rain and Kenshi in the last game, and hell, used to be the only way any MK story got told back in the 2D Era.

That makes sense. Only time will tell. The game even hasn't officially been released and we are already talking about an ultimate version. This goes against everything I knew as a gamer growing up. The Internet age I tell ya. Lol

I would've loved to See the chapter of Sub-Zero go more like it starts earlier where he beats Sektor for leadership he escapes, and secretly makes his Tekunnie clan, then it could've transitioned to present day where Kuai defeats the youngster's to teach them teamwork, and see Johnny and Kuai share a chuckle about the kids remembering themselves when they were younger.

And during Scorpions chapter when they have Tea, man it would be so awesome seeing Sektor come in swarming with an army of cyborgs attacking the Lk and Kuai and Hanzo team up to defend against the attack.

Thats how i would've done it.

That would set up a major threat, and keep Sektor relevant, and give his character proper respect.


Hey speaking of which since Frost is most likely Cassie's age do you think it is possible she is Kuai's daughter? Honestly would love to see that angle play out.

I really like your ideas, you have nice ideas for the stories and 10 times better than what they wrote. I really like the idea of what you suggested for Sektor, it would have had Scorpion and Subby working together and at the same time keep Sektor in the loop so that even he died we can see how he goes down and we get to see him fight.

As for the Frost thing, it would make sense, they already retconned a few things from MK9 like Mileena never growing up with Kitana. So I believe a retcon like this could be very possible and for me at least, very welcome :).

I really really like your ideas man, I feel bad not thinking of that idea of Sektor secretly building his clan and then attacking Kuai while he was with Scorpion, that's really a cool idea. :)

That is actually a really good question. Realistically he'd be one of the few people Raiden would have left in his proverbial corner and yet he's mysteriously absent. Kai is actually a very confusing omission considering the MK4-ness of MKX's story.

I daresay he's reached a point of relevance lower than even Jarek these days. There's a time in the past I'd have put him above Jarek... but even Jarek has the Black Dragon connection to keep him slightly afloat. Kai, thus far, has absolutely no relevance or presence in the new timeline whatsoever.

Ugh i just really think NRS could have done so much more, i don't want to sound self-entitled. I love the game, but this is my favorite series, and i just want the very best. I wish Tobias was still with the team, i think with the freedom Wb gives them John could have written a superior story.

Yea D'vorah killed Baraka and Mileena, kind of shocking...and molested Nicholas Cage with the bees. I should have played that when D'vorah released her swarm upon MIleena and the latter is swatting them away before their fight in Story Mode.

Agreed. John Tobias's stories were just amazing. MK:SZM is one of my best MK stories, it introduced me to my favorite female character, Sareena. And my 2nd favorite male character, Quan Chi.

It was a great story, I still play it from time to time.

But hopefully the future of the story and story telling in MK will be/get better.

And no need to thank me for speaking the truth, those were really some good ideas that I doubt anybody could argue with, especially when you have the alt of what we saw in the story. Good job :).

Even Meat and Mokap have potential, the problem is that they won't put the effort in to make them worth it. If even their creators can't be bothered, then It's likely we'll never see them again. Which is a shame, because yes, all characters have the potential to be great with some effort put into them.
