I don't know that we have seen the last of this character. I do think that will be decided by his/her playability long term, not its screen time in the story. If he/she gains traction on the tournament circuit that might convince NRS to keep them. Not sure though.

Also totally agree Ferra is funny, she has grown on me. I just wish they were both shown off more. Honestly i wanted them to get some sort of relevance, and importance. Reptile, Baraka etc enough of the grunts that get beat on. They need more substance.

look at Smoke,Cyrax and Noob. while there is still DLC,look how,despite being in the top 10 most played MK9 characters(special regards to Cyrax who was also played a lot in tournaments) got completely ignored here. Hell,Cyrax isn't even MENTIONED in the story mode. only a joke ad in the Sonya/Farmer Jax cutscenes.

Look at the bright side, noob will probably be playable, and we'll definitely have lots of classic returnees, just not more than half of the roster like this game.

doubt it. especially when they'll start exploiting DLC. I wouldn't be surprised if KP2 has the more obvious returnees coming back(Fujin,Cyrax,Noob,heck,maybe Rain if Boon was lying, Li Mei or Frost,although they certainly aren't as popular as some MK1-3 characters,Shang Tsung,etc.)

Yeah I agree about the Sektor thing. I hate that some people keep misunderstanding me, I'm not sad because Sektor is not playable in MKX, that's not my problem. I have the same problem that many other people have even none Sektor fans, they should have had at least a fight between Sektor and Subby in the game's story where they show how Subby killed Sektor, I would have been happy with that.

Subby will always be the grand master, that's not the issue. The issue is how Sektor appeared in the story, his appearance is basically an arm and a head which is just degrading because now casuals will look back at the game and say "Oh wasn't that robot just a head in the last game, what a fucking loser" Which means not a lot of casuals will even bother to try out Sektor which would lead to Sektor dying out and possibly becoming a character that they don't bother to put in.

Maybe I'm just being way too subjective and just looking at the bad side of things but that's what it feels like.

I hope people are right and we'll get to see Subby vs Sektor in the comics and hopefully that makes up for everything :).

gotta say,MKX has some vast improvements over MK9,but there some seriously stupid decisions that make you wonder what the hell were they thinking? I'm convinced they ran out of ideas,and didn't want to resort to old characters/ideas.

The thing is, you are talking about characters that have been around for 10+ years. They have had their time at one point or another. If NRS is serious about the new blood this time around (I don't think they were fully committed in the 3D era) I think they will embrace the fan/tournament support, if any.

Damn, all this D'Vorah salt, haha! She gutted my favorite character, but I think she's stylin' and profilin'.

Honest to god, I wish they made an MK game that turned into a Street Fighter IV, and continued to be supported with additional characters, version udpates, and countless new skins for years to come.

I had hoped MK9 would be that game and was let down, so I'm pessimistic that MKX will be either. But who knows... with the continued online presence of the living towers... maybe it will see continued support as well.

They could sell me 3 more versions of this game with 2-4 new characters added in each one, and 100+ new skins over the next few years, and I'd buy all of them. I don't like Street Fighter that much, but I do like MK that much.

keep in mind,Boon stated in the Angry Joe interview that future kombat PACKS,not pack,were in the cards. this came a day before the dlc release dates + future dlc being teased in the latest kombat kast. so it's entirely possible they'll do something like that,but not as exaggerated as SF4 or SF2 were.

Or maybe do something similar to Killer Instinct with characters getting released progressively over time. I definitely think they really do need to substantially support this game well after release.

This would be great! I don't think it would be enough though, unfortunately. From most of what I read on here today has been about character inclusion in story. I don't know that some folks would be happy to have a Reiko or Fujin show up down the line because they mean nothing to the story mode. That's a shame.

It's surprising they didn't with mk9, and i'd be surprised if they didn't with mkx. MK9 was HUGE in the tournament scene, and will still be played in tournaments well after MKX is released.

I would not mind this so long as I don't have to buy a new disk.

It's also funny because Subby is one of my favs and I always liked that story between him and Sektor, I felt like Sektor is truly the rival of Kuai and Hanzo is the rival of Noob/Bi-Han.

Scorpion should be buddies with Kuai but he has every reason to hate Bi-Han and from here they can take Kuai's story to a lot of interesting places. Bring back Noob-Saibot and have Kuai try to save him while Scorpion try to kill him, Kuai would be conflicted because he is friends with Scorpion but he doesn't want Scorpion to kill his brother, he wants to save his brother. I don't know, just a thought :p.

But glad we agree and that I didn't get misunderstood this time around :).
