Here's why.
There are at least 5 different ways to finish a fight per character. That's plenty. I'm totally fine with the absence of Stage Fatalities.
And really, a lot of the Stage Fatalities in this game would've been the same. Dead Woods - Eaten by Wolves, Kove - Eaten by Sea monster, Kuatan Jungle - Eaten by Alligator, Destroyed City - Eaten by Wild dogs. Notice a pattern?

^^^^^ Agreed with what you said. Stage Fatalities have been a Staple of Mortal Kombat since the first game. They couldn't include ONE? I don't need 100 different brutalities, but I'd like atleast a single stage finisher!!

Eh oh well maybe next time.
The Krypt on the other hand sounds SO cool. I love the idea of some rewards/areas having to be unlocked by solving a puzzle.

Noticing a pattern here people? Every since mkda, the first inclusion of mk on a new generation of platforms has not had stage fatalities. Mkda on xbox/ps2, mkvsdcu on xbox360/ps3, mkx on xbox one/ps4. The good news is that the next have for each generation had a shit ton of stage fatalities. Mkd, mk9, and i guarantee you mk11 so enjoy the game's multiple finishers that we'll get.

He ruled out stage Fatalities but not Stage Animalities think about it every Arena(Stage) shown so far has a way to feed your opponent to a beast.
There is still hope
Look on the bright side 99% of MK9 was leaked and no one found Babalities until the street date was broke
There will be a secret Ality

Nope. We have to accept it: the game's good, probably even great. But definitely not perfect or amazing.
They're intentionally making a game for casuals (only trilogy characters + new faces) and bad players (easy fatalities, anyone?), so... die hard fans should take it or leave it, I guess.

They have already confirmed there are more than 100 brutalities in the game, how many more do you need?

To say the developers are lazy because something you want in the game isnt in is rediculous. I dont usually comment on the stuff people say on here but grow up. Hundreds of man hours have been put into this game its packed full of content for casual and hardcore mk fans alike. And you clowns bitch about your favorite character getting cut or the number of stages not being to your liking. No stage fatalities? Bummer. You should boycott those lazy developers. That'l show them. Smh at some of you.

They would be better than the dumb idea of stage animalities (I'm all for character specific animalities) but I'm not going to be too upset about them being gone. The only two I really bothered to do were the Street one and the Subway one.

dawkness23, your patronizing rant is ignorant and annoying.
OF COURSE, 12 stages is SUB-standard.
OF COURSE, not having stage fatalities is gonna piss many fans.
OF COURSE, having shitload of costumes and guest characters does NOT make the game any less disappointing in SOME ASPECTS.
I didn't call the team lazy. But... I'm almost sure the people that make the alt costumes are not the same people that make the stages. Having 100's of costumes does not excuse NRS for the sub-standard amount of arenas. I can live without the stage fatalities, but only 12 stages?? Well, this is DRIVING ME INSANE! I can bitch all I want about it. You don't like it? I don't care.

There's no stage "fatalities" because they are gonna be called stage "animalities" or just plain old "animaties. This reminds me, where is the Pit Stage? We don't have any kind of Pit or Tower stage. This will probably be the first time in the history of the franchise, right?

Wow this is the first news about MKX that I genuinely hate, Stage Fatalities are MK staples to me you can't just not include them....siiiiiiigggggghhhhhh
Is it too late to trade Faction Kills for Stage Fatalities?
The thought of an MK game without A Pit that is fucking disgusting stop raping my nostalgia NRS!

Trust me, it is not that bad, I am still going to enjoy the game. But I definitely will voice my displeasure when NRS excludes important (IMO) elements. I can bet you nearly everyone, including the casual crowd, will ask if they can make the creature eat the guy at the market, into the water on the dock, or into the lava, off the roof..

worst news i've heard since release, i've been full hype for this game and still am, but to me stage fatalities are a staple of MK and it just wont feel the same without them...it was fun fighting on stages like the pit where you could feel the pressure of the stage, the stage kind of came alive for lack fo a better word, without those fatalities the already small number of stages will seem even more shallow :( I hope stage "brutalities" are damn amazing

I was really looking forward to something like this. I wanted to throw someone into the Kove and have them torn apart by a Kraken monster or something.
Oh well.

Wow, really? That's quite a claim you're making there. Easy fatalities are there for convenience. Don't want to use them? Don't. But I guarantee you one thing - whether or not one chooses to do easy fatalities or just do them the old fashioned way does not determine what quality of player they are. I doubt you can sit there and tell me that in MK9, you don't pause the game and go look at the move list for fatalities during "Finish Him". And even if you remembered the fatalities for one or two characters, did you remember them for ALL? No. You did not. BADASS6669 Wrote:

Kinda surprised by the reaction in here. With more finishers than any other MK in history the need for Stage Fatalities is pretty low.
At least 2 Fatalities per character
5+ Brutalities
multiple Faction Kills per faction
I'd say there's more than enough ways to finish an opponent in this game. It's fine.

It actually doesn't have anything to do with the amount of fatality's there are. As some others said, stage fatality's have been a great part/staple of MK. At least a Pit stage needs to be in there.
The execution of the Pit II stage of MKII is still the best in my opinion. Really felt the scaryness of the height. Good camera angle, and a very good scream.

Stage fatalities are like pizza. I like pizza. I expect to get some pizza when I buy an MK game. You're telling me the game offers tacos and burgers. Fine, but I still want my pizza because when I think of MK, I want to eat a slice of pizza. Still don't get it?
Your argument is funny, dude. It's like saying: They have Brutalities, Quitalities, and Faction Kills... more than a 100 ways to kill the opponent. But still they have 2 fatalities per character! Why?! Maybe they should have flushed fatalities down the toilet like they did with the stage fatalities.
I don't get the mentality of some people who are willing to excuse the developer's poor decision and/or laziness. You're part of the problem, people, because you're letting them get away with it.
NRS should have made at least one stage fatality. Just one, for the sake of it. But hey... why bother. Who needs a new, um, Pit stage when we have so many other arenas. Like 12 of them! Wow! Seriously, how can we be not satisfied.
End of sarcasm.
