About 8 mins into Angry Joes Ed Boon interview, Boon confirmed there are no stage fatalities. So everyone can stop pondering now.
Not super bummed. Lots of other things to look forward to.

Imagine a sad face, that is so sad, that it is consoled by another sad face, and eventually that sad face commits suicide due to how bad it feels for the super sad face.

Worst news and most disappointing thing about the game. WTF NRS your game is famous for it's Arenas and Stage Fatalities

I am O.K with this. There are enough finishers in the game in Brutalities and Fatalities.
Back and sassier than before. •03/30/2015 03:33 PM (UTC) •

Eh I'm not too broken up about it.
What could you even do for these stages? I guess you could uppercut them into Lava but that's kinda boring.

Pretty stupid decision in my honest opinion.
Remove the watered-down fatalities which they called "Brutalities" and replace them with stage fatalities which are way cooler.

I disagree. I'm ok with not having 4 stage fatalities if that means having over 100 2D era inspired fatalities.

You mean 100 2D Era uninspired and unimpressive fatalities.
the 2D Era fatalities were at least cool or made you laugh, these are just dumb compared to what fatalities we have in MKX.
Why have watered-down fatalities when you already have amazing fatalities like Ermac's fatality.

I also think including them in this game will take that "surprise" and "special" factor that Stage Fatalities had in the past. We had them in MK9 and were done well for the most part. It's the right time to exclude them before they get too repetitive and stale.

That's true, but I thought that was because they were pretty much a shoe in lol guess not.

Cry more please. Brutalities are such a huge nod to the old MKs its awesome and perfect for competitive play, but I figured we'd have stage brutalities at least to go with the interactibles but
IMO they aren't absolutely necessary when we have literally 10+ ways to finish the opponent per character.

Damn.
Like, when you slam your opponents head into concrete on the Jungle or Emperor's Courtyard, their head explodes or something?
Or if you grab the ice branch (Forest) or metal pole (Ruined City) and smack them with it their head goes flying off?
Or getting in the finishing blow by throwing Blanche, thus the opponent explodes on contact?
Sure. I'll accept this.

Unless we have stage fatalities in disguise where the background animals on each stage represent the new animalities as someone hypothesized earlier.

That is super AWFUL. How lazy can you be? "Let us spend a large amount of budget on the story mode that everyone will play once and skimp out on stuff that makes the game hold value."
Just my two cents: they should have made X-ray moves Brutalities in the first place and had the current Brutalities as something else (Sudden Death).
X-ray moves are boring over time. They should have been finishers.

....Stage Animalities...what a potential lost. Every stage looked like it could have had something. Every time a new stage was introduced, users can already see what could possibly happen as a Stage Animality.
Maybe next time...
