For real? What was it that you didn't like about his look? I just ask because a differing opinion is welcome. I really loved his look is all.

it wasn't what i expected. it felt kind of generic and a bit plane. the coat was just dull. i felt his look has been done numerous times.

i thought he'd look more unique if he looked kinda like doctor strange. not totally but a bit more serious and bit more flashy.

here's kind of how i'd make him look.

long blonde hair, black boots with gold trim, red gloves,white pants, dark red cape with tint of gold thrown into it. kind give it a mirror image effect.

some other moves he could have is sliding kick using his cape. his cape could stretch along with body to give him more access to other moves. his gloves,cape,boots could stretch to grow big or small to create new pop up moves and such.

that's my idea for mavado Scar_Subby.

I for one wanna give Mavado a projectile or somethin'. The grapplers are okay but... I don't know.

Well I actually agree on other parts of him stretching. That could be his ability maybe? The grapple's can also give him access to just about anything though. I actually think that a moveset revolving around poison could fit Mavado. He can have his grapples that's fine, but maybe a move where he laces his fists with poison that enhances his attacks. Possibly a poisoned throwing knife as his projectile.

As far as the look though. It's nothing against your idea for the look, but that just seems like an entirely different character all together. His look is completely changed. I really like his look now. The black trenchcoat with the red lining. It just fits him.

I hope Sareena comes back.

As for Mavado. Let him come back. But get his Red Dragon involved somehow.

I vote YES for Mavado, primarily for gameplay reasons. As Baraka407 has said many times, there are endless possibilities with his elastic ropes. He could be extremely mobile without having a teleport move (there are too many of those in MK anyway). Just don't give him the hookswords, those are trademarked under Kabal. K?

I don't mind Reiko being agile, to differentiate him a bit more from Shao Kahn. That's why the Devastating Flip Kick (that's how the move is named in his MKA movelist) fits him nicely.

Plus, remember his badass (and agile) throw from MKA! He got style!

I used to love this guy back when DA came out but nowadays he's kind of...lame when I look back on this character.

And it's not because of the trenchcoat and hookswords it's more what makes him stand out I find lame than his similarities to Kabal.

Movado is one of the most interesting characters in MK, I think so due to his story. Get this:

Black Dragon are ex-Red Dragon members just like,
Shira Ryu are ex-Lin Kuei members
LK and RD are the eldest of the four clans and it thrills me to see these two clans battle it out.

The RD gives me another reason to explore Earthrealm, which is good because earthrealm is getting pretty boring, along with outworld and sum of edenia. I like the RD's stealthy style compared to the BD's "non-stealthy" ways. I think the RD is far superior than the BD. I really don't see how the likes of Kano became enlisted into the RD prior to his defection to the BD. On that note, when did the BD became established???

back to Mavado. He leads the RD in earth answering only to Deagon of Edenia.

I like him only becuz of his story. Scar Subby and others, how do you guys feel about the RD and it's Earthrealm rivals and why?

It would be nice for the Red Dragon to get involved with the Lin Kuei. Besides, the Black Dragon is almost starting to fade... well... that is if Tremor can take Jarek's place.

I couldn't agree more, Nephrite, on all fronts! When it comes to Mavado, I mean c'mon, how could anyone look at that fan art and NOT want to see what NRS could really do with him?

I'm also going to resist every urge to spit out ten paragraphs on why those ropes give him endless potential.

Ya know, I actually agree with everyone of your picks here. Reiko might be a bit more borderline for me, as I could probably take him or leave him, but honestly? I think that there are so many post MK3 characters that have been underutilized or have not met anything close to the potential that their look and/or story seem to imply and he could easily be one of them.

As for Reiko, man I love the character! I love the mystery element he's got going on, especially regarding his view on Quan Chi, remember Armageddon Konquest?

I already liked him in MK4 where I had tons of fun playing as Reiko, but then MKA made me really really like him. Loved the updated looks, his throw animation was the most badass in the game and his War Room arena with the huge map on the floor in the Konquest was sooooo cool!
