I would say yes for Fujin, the potential successor of Raiden who on the other hand could distribute his forces to the four carriers of thunder i.e. Nightwolf, Kidd Thunder, Rain and Mokap for instance (or new guys). The point is that Raiden could just as well step away from the limelight and focus on the illumination of the stage instead: he's got talent for the job.

I'm hoping they keep the gameplay engine similar to MK2011's for the next MK game as I'm dying to play as Fujin with such a fun engine.

Also, his long ponytail hair from MKA is a must for one of his costumes. For the other one he could have his hair done in MK4 style as I've seen some members prefer that one. His face was definitely better looking in MK4, I'll say that!

I'd like to see his crossbow back and I'd like Fujin to enter a special stance when he uses the crossbow (he would have more range on his moves and they'd be more damaging, but they would also be slower and less combo-heavy as a compensation). I'd definitely change the generic green stuff he was shooting from it in MK4 though, there are too many green colored powers in MK anyway. I would also make the crossbow look more ancient in design, I find that more suitable for a god rather than the plain design it had in MK4 (I suppose graphic/memory limitations were the issue back then). Overall, he would be a bit more advanced to use, harder to master. I have some ideas for his moves, including technical details such as frames/armor/damage etc., but I'll leave that out of this thread.

Anyway, YES, I want to see Fujin back ASAP!

I think Fujin should come back. I feel like he kind of got screwed over the first time around. He was given the chance to take over for Raiden but then the next game was just like, yeah never mind we're just gonna keep Raiden where he is.

Some of you know I only have about 12 or 13 characters out of the MK4-MKA characters that I think should come back, but Fujin is one of them.

Like I said, Raiden has become the screw-up when it comes to leading everyone it appears. I think a conflict between Fujin and Raiden could make for some good storytelling in the next game. Possibly Fujin calling Raiden out on this. Raiden is starting to come across as the rash do whatever it takes for Earthrealm kind of guy. Whereas Fujin seems more like he would take the more sympathetic approach. Could just be me though. Anyway, like I said Fujin gets a YES from me.

Of COURSE Fujin should come back. In his debut I found him to be way more interesting than Raiden. Fujin is an untapped oil rig, flowing with rich potential.

How about Reiko, Li Mei & Tanya? Let's start with Reiko.

Well, I think we should give it maybe a day or so more to continue and get a couple more people to discuss Fujin or some ideas for him maybe. That's one of the points of the thread to get some people hyped about these characters. Right now it's Fujin's time to shine. Reiko, Li Mei, and Tanya will get their time don't worry.

A hell YES for Fujin. He definitely should be in the next game. Raiden will eventually start his descent into madness again & with Raiden losing it, it will finally be Fujin's time to shine. He would most likely take over & lead Earthrealm's heroes in the upcoming battles.

that said, any ideas on Fujin's future fatalities, brutality, x-ray, etc. It would make sense that they are all wind based. EX: Fujin summons a small tornado that grasps the human upper body. as it spins rapidly, the torso does the same. the spine cracks grossly as it tears, separating the top half from the bottom. the tornado then rises with the torso and disappears, sending the torso flying to the other side of the room

As far as X-ray goes I think a wind funnel should sweep them up and turn them backwards. This is when everything slows down and we enter the X-ray vision. Fujin then sends a flying kick into the lower back showing the spine cracking. This makes the opponents neck snap backwards towards Fujin where he grabs them by the neck into widow's peak position and drops to the ground zeroing in on the neck as it snaps.

As for fatalities I think a huge tornado should come and sweep them into the air and the next thing we see is them falling from the sky busting into pieces when the opponent hits the ground.

The second should be Fujin literally sucking the air out of the opponent letting them suffocate and drop to the ground.

I think Fujin probably has the most potential out of all of the characters to really work with.

the 2nd fatality and the xray are good to go. But the 1st fatality sounds like Noob's MKT dark cloud fatality... EDIT:sorry i read it wrong. the 1st is not like Noob's

The next character is jarek guys. I will just give a simple No because I don't like copy cat characters and since kano didn't die in mk9 then we really just don't need him.

You know I'm actually going to say yes to Jarek just because I think every character deserves a second chance. Of course if they killed him off in the next game I wouldn't shed a tear.

I say yes to Jarek as well. I too, am a believer that everyone deserves a second chance.

I liked his gameplay in MKA too. Thought they gave him some cool moves, so I would like to see how those moves translate into 2D.

I have also wanted to see some interaction between Jarek and Kano and I think MK10 would be perfect for that.

Agreed. I don't think all characters deserve 2nd chances. Jarek can suck on it because if it was me choosing the cast he would not be brought back. He's not my most hated character by any means, he's just not one that's interesting to me. So Jarek gets a big NO from me.

I want Jarek in just so I can massacre him. I REALLY want to do a Fatality to him. I would just love to use Kung Lao's hat straight up his middle. but nearly everybody died, so...

As for Jarek... Tsk... Can't say I like him. I thought he was terrible in MK4, though his projectile was kinda cool, at least the animation. In MKA, I hardly ever played as him. So, I guess I wouldn't mind if they ditched Jarek.
