Thanks!

So with that, here are the new uses from May 26th to June 3rd, in millions:

4. Johnny Cage - 5.826
5. Liu Kang - 5.254
6. Kotal Kahn - 4.700
7. Takeda - 4.401
8. Cassie Cage - 3.881
9. Kung Jin - 3.832

13. Kung Lao - 3.215
14. Kitana - 3.144
15. Ermac - 3.037
16. Sonya Blade - 2.891
17. Erron Black - 2.852
18. D'Vorah - 2.713
19. Jacqui Briggs - 2.275

Kotal Kahn's number is presumably inflated somewhat by his Premier Tower.
Tanya's doing pretty well for only two days in with KP purchases only.

Wait are these numbers for online and offline, excluding story mode then? If so, where do you find this list?

Online (including Living Towers). They appear in the ticker on the bottom left corner of the Online menu.

Thanks for doing that. Good to see glasses

Lmao @ Kitana and Mileena fans making fun of Jacqui's popularity when their favorites are suppossedly the poster girls and the "female Scorpion/Sub Zero" and still can't get a spot in the top 10! *cringes*!
Hahaha you do realize that Kitana was the most popular female in MK9 right? These MKX stats are fresh so they don't mean much.

Climbing? She's still sitting in the same spot at the bottom lol

Umm no she isn't? She was third to last after kano and Quan Chi a month ago. You tried it honey.

A month ago the game wasnt even out long enough lol. Compare stats from the original post and stop being ignorant.

Also FAIL at your unoriginal jab at my fav lol. Poster girl or not she is in fact climbing unlike Jacqui. And she is admitedly popular enough to make next game (since you were so stuck up on stats MK9), again unlike Jacqui whi just showed up. Stats count more for the newbies so prepare your goodbyes wink

Oh so a month is long enough to judge character usability. A month...when most characters hadn't even cracked 5 millions. Fuck logic right?

Anyway your stupid argument about character usage in the last game didn't apply to the fan favs, so I'm good. Also your stupid "Jacqui is climbing" argument, while you are trying to bring fan favs down shows how ignorant you are. She's still underneath Reptile and only above the same 4 characters. Sit down.

Actually it would make a lot of difference since story mode has been completed 11 million times. Jacqui has four fights in story mode so that would be an extra 44 million uses which would make Jacqui the third most used character.

Wrong, because every other character that has a chapter in story mode would also get a usage boost so Jacqui would only surpass those characters that don't have a chapter in story mode (plus D'Vorah since she has only 3 battles in story mode). She'd be outside the top 10.

Kitana rising. And now above Sonya...

LOL.

It's barely been two months. Give this game more time and Kitana is going to be the most used female fighter AGAIN thanks to her popularity.

This thread is kind of a fail considering the OP wanted to take a jab at Kitana by posting those meaningless, premature initial stats. How embarrassing.

She's still way behind Sonya -- just not in the last week, where Sonya wasn't used very much.

Yeah but she's slowly rising. Like I said, it's only been barely two months. Let's talk about stats in 9 months.

Kitana wasn't used much initially in MK9. Mileena was the top female. But that changed as time went on. So these early statistics are nothing more but meaningless numbers.

I had not considered that and you are right but it would still make a difference. Jacqui would be comfortably ahead of those around her for example in the upper half of the list. D'Vorah has four battles in story mode. They are against Baraka, Rain, Tanya and Mileena.

Mileena was never the most used female in MK9. Not even when the game came out.

You said a month ago the game wasn't out but it was so yes you're stupid. And Jacqui IS raising since she passed Ferra/Torr and is about to pass Reptile and Goro (and gaining more plays weekly than them) so LOL @ your logic.

Personally, I think it more embarrassing to misread a post and wrongly clamor victory (as others have pointed out you just did). And then to ascertain that these numbers are meaningless now that your character is so low, but will totes be meaningful in 9 months when she's #1. And then to indict the OP with being on a mission to humiliate your character with facts.

And you know what's more embarrassing than both of those things? The fact that, once again, as expected, a legitimate thread has become a sandbox for users to feel personally attacked and put down other people's characters in order to alleviate their own pain and disappointment.

It's little wonder MKO was the only MK fan site not personally thanked by NRS prior to the game's release. Stay classy, guys. I'm sure your characters would be very proud to have you as a fan if they met you. Ha, I've spent so many years on this site reading Sonya/Kitana squabbles that it feels weird seeing their largely benevolent interactions in-game. Truly tragic that even my own perception has been stained over the years from eyeing so much muck.

These stats don't include story mode plays, if they did, that would mean that Kenshi and Liu Kang have been played more times than Sub-Zero. The fans of certain characters need to stop using that excuse as to why their favorites are so low.

What Nephrite meant was that if story mode usage was included Jacqui would be outside the top ten because all the characters who have chapter in story mode would also get an extra 44 million uses. I initially said that if story mode usage did count Jacqui would be third on the usage list, which as pointed out, is wrong since Jacqui is the least used character to have a chapter in story mode.

Looking through these stats and considering those of MK9, Kano, Quan Chi & Reptile really did have no business returning for another game... 3 wasted returning slots IMHO.

Quan Chi is top tier ffs and look where he's ranking!!

I appreciate he's a big part of MK4 and this is a loose (~LOOSE~) retelling, but he came at the expense of Fujin... Havik... Reiko. All of these guys deserved and earned their expected shot at some 2D glory. I'm pleased NRS took a lot of flak over Fujin especially - that was one omission too far and pissed a lot of fans off. And for what purpose? To accommodate a place for Kano and Quan Chi, a pair of also-rans nobody wants to play? Or Jacqui - look at how her popularity has panned out - we predicted that the moment she was unveiled in the comic!!

Yes, sometimes when you're creating, you have to make creative decisions which you personally feel happier including in your product, but equally, sometimes you have to compromise with your fanbase so all parties are happy - the people who pay and fund you. NRS needs to stop pushing Quan Chi. The only person excited he made the cut was Ed Boon!!

Reptile did fine in MK9- what are you talking about?

And Havik, and Reiko would've been played even less than Shinnok if they got in the game, get real.

Look, Quan Chi has had TWO chances post-3D - one as a top tier, tournament main character - and still nobody is interested in playing him. Time to give some of the other popular supporting cast a chance.

And be honest, Reptile's figures are pretty rubbish in x. My main has been Kitana for 20 years, but even I concede, she could have easily sat this one out. Reptile could have skipped a game too and come back stronger for it.

Tanya has proven that a discarded post-trilogy character can be re-invented and find popularity amongst a new generation, to great success!! Take note NRS.
