Tremor consuming part of Khrome fills me with absolute pleasure. The gimmick is taken.

He hasn't taken the gimmick at all. Tremor has one variation where he has gold skin, Khrome is supposedly "liquid metal". Not the same thing.

I adore how this topic has evolved to the point where people talk about "Khrome" as if it was a real character, and are getting butthurt about the fact that Tremor is "replacing Khrome".

Khrome is not real. Khrome is not a character. Khrome is not a rumor. Khrome is not a concept. Khrome was a paint error on an MK ninja statue that the manufacturer nicknamed and sent to Ed. Zebron or Nimbus are more legit "characters" than Khrome.

It's also funny because, again, it brings back to the age-old, never-fail idiocy that governs that Mortal Kombat fanbase: "OMG A NINJA! NINJERZ! ERMAGHERD NERNJERZ". I would love to see the reaction if "Khrome" was a mispainted Liu Kang with silver skin. The name "Khrome" would never have been uttered on this forum again.

About as much as I adore people getting up in arms (I won't use "butthurt" because I've found it's entirely asshats that use that term) over others wanting Khrome as an actual character.

Seriously, we get it frabn, you hate certain fans' love of ninjas. You don't have post that and your reasoning in EVERY fucking thread. Nobody cares. People like the ninjas. Some people want a character called Khrome. You're continued screaming into the wind isn't going to change that.

I love MK ninjas. Always have. Always will. That will never change. They have some of the best ninja designs, especially since characters became more individualized started with MK4, in the entire genre. The designs and characters have become iconic. The names are household.

It is simply absurd that a supposed character, whether fake, irrelevant or in the case of Khrome, a factory manufacturing mistake with a descriptive nickname, can develop such an enormous following. People will bitch and moan and complain about Cassie Cage being too similar to Johnny and Sonya, or Takeda looking too much like Scorpion in one of his variations, and yet will turn around and say "we need more ninjas. Where's Tremor? Where's Khrome? Where's Hornbuckle? Where's Magma? Where's Mist? Where's Cloud?".

Those who see me as hating ninjas clearly don't have the basic ability to look at the content of my posts and process what it is i'm saying...too blinded by their fandom, it would seem.

Let me break it down in the simplest, easy-to-understand and "I know how to read now!" terms. THIS is the summation of what is wrong with the Mortal Kombat fanbase:

Introduce a brand new character, they bitch and moan about it's design. Put a ninja mask on it, it gains the biggest fan following yet. That's the Mortal Kombat fan base. I don't bring it up in every thread, but I love calling out the stupidity of it when the opportunity presents itself. What's more concerning is that people on the forum specifically take time out of their day to hunt me down and pick apart my posts when they feel their ninja love take a bruise. It's kinda sad, actually. I love my MK ninjas but...come on.

I fixed it for you. It was clearly put in there to bait you. I would've thought it being the Kombat Kard for April Fools Day gave it away.

Here's the simple truth; NRS will never use the character officially because it was never something that they did accidentally or happened accidentally in their games. Ermac was a coding glitch. Blaze was a background model. Skarlet was reportedly a coding glitch. Tremor was an actual character in a side game. See where I'm going with this? Khrome will never be used because technically speaking they didn't mess up the paint on the figure/toy/bust/whatever. It was never something that happened in one of their games, whether on purpose or by accident, thus it'll never happen so its best to accept it already as reality.

Sure, they may use the thought process of liquid metal one day, but the ninja itself, Khrome, will never exist in Mortal Kombat officially. Hornbuckle has a better chance at becoming an official character at this rate over Khrome. Feel free to quote me on that.

My idea is that Khrome travels in parallel universes like Ultimate Spider-Man Web/Shattered Dimensions or he gains memories of an alternate timeline.

I would accept Khrome IF
A: Many other characters that didn't have much spotlight get it first that deserve it: Fujin, Reiko, Havik, Li Mei, Hotaru, Drahmin, Moloch, Sareena, Ashra, and a few others come to mind.

B: They distance him as far away from his ninja origin as possible.

C: He does not take up a spot on the main roster.

D: Some old favorites come back that weren't in this game.

E: Some other rumor characters get a chance.

Then I might be okay with it. Otherwise no way.

I was gonna say Kombat Pack 2 should be comic book characters or story pack so it sells well for a Kombat Pack 3 where we could see Khrome.

Two different ideas that could be explored for Khrome.

Yes, I am fully aware of how Rain was created except you're still missing the point. Rain was an idea created by NRS stemming from the actual game, thus why he was used. Him being teased or not is irrelevant. Hell, even Dairou was teased in concept art in Deadly Alliance despite officially debuting one game later in Deception. Khrome is a mistake by a collectable company fueled by fans as fan fiction and only reference as a JOKE by NRS. They have no intention of making him an official character because he wasn't their idea nor did he stem from an official MK licensed game in any capacity.

Ehh, I don't find it that much different than Skarlet or Tremor. I don't actually care about Khrome, but I like getting basically new characters like Skarlet or Tremor for dlc. So if they made Khrome with a cool design/moveset, I would be happy with it.
