I could see Khrome as the next Tremor and being DLC in the next MK game. We got 4-5 years for that momentum to build up. It is the internet and people latch onto the most obscure thing and try to make it cool.

Eh, "real" is a stretch. BUT. Again, the point I was making is that Tremor's enormous following stems solely from the fact that he started out as a ninja, and absolutely nothing else. Anything ninja related, fake or not, gets this community into a frothing-at-the-mouth uproar.

Tremor probably got popular because he was a ninja. I won't deny it. But, color swapped ninjas are a staple of the franchise and Tremor is still a real character.

I love MK ninjas. Scorpion and Sub-Zero will always be two of my all-time favorites.

What I HATE is MK fandom's ravenous, blind, fanatic inability to move past anything ninja. Look at the hate that Ermac, Reptile and Rain get for their looks, because they don't look like ninjas anymore. It's pathetic. This fan base won't be satisfied until every fucking character in the game is sporting a ninja mask and loincloth.

I blame it on the fact that the majority of modern MK fans probably weren't even alive the last time a Mortal Kombat game was in the arcades.

Ermac does look like crap in MKX imo. I liked both his primary and alt in MK9 a LOT but in MKX he sucks. reptile looks good imo but I can't understand why they won't make a fully human outfit for him, half the fans want this and half want reptilian. they can make a mask with a hole that can work for both human and reptilian styles so he can spit his acid. rain didn't get hate for his looks in both MK9 or in MKX. you were right about ermac and reptile, lots didn't like ermac at all and lots said reptile looks like a slightly changed MK9 reptile. didn't see anyone complain about rain though, I like the new outfit in story mode myself, although, I do believe they could give him one like this and one more similar to MK9 to keep the ninja roots

Khrome's petition has reached 500 supporters. Crazy right? Considering it took Tremor's petition to reach 500 supporters, it took Khrome exactly 1 month to reach 500. Thank you to all who have supported or at least took the time to read the description in the petition.

From my experience, most of the people who rant about how MK should be and won't let go of the past are the ones who define what the entire franchise should off of their own experience in an arcade when they were 9.

The new fans that MK9 gathered or reinvigorated are the ones who call Reptile a loser and didn't even know Ermac was a ninja. I haven't heard any of my friends who have only played the recent games complain about Ermac's look. I think you're mixing up the fan base with the fandom.

If they put Khrome in over Rieko, Noob Saibot, Smoke, Havik, Fujin, and Rain, I will seriously question everything regarding Mortal Kombat from that point to the rest of my life.

Khrome would probably end up stealing Glacius` melting ice spike uppercut from the cyberninja Hydro, the fan made Mugen character, based on the 90`s comic character.
