Is that why his first post in the thread was immediately after mine and consists more of personal attack than evidence-based disagreement?

If you don't agree that MK9 and MK1 thru A are separate universes, that's fine. We can discuss a different opinion or interpretation rationally like gentlemen. What he did is complain about the PERSON who is suggesting/hoping that they're separate universes.
I don't understand why you're defending that behavior.

I would honestly approve of that.

I barely visited this place, after 2011. You're just being your usual drama queen self and make inane overstatements. If you can't handle this I wonder how can you handle people being in disagreement with you in real life. And you ARE paranoid - I've answered to the post above yours. But you simply can't live without being insulted, right? grin
And your opinion - is not a fact. There is no discussion here - time to learn to live with that.

Cry me a river. Do you remember MKFLegend? And the others?

Also, for all your mental faculties, I am sorry, haven't you figured it out? IGNORE HIM! It is hard, I know, I suffer from monomania, I know how hard it is, but that is the single best and effective method. it is not like he could actually physically hurt or distract you...

Scorpion: How does it feel to be a dead man?
Sub-Zero: I could ask you the same.
Scorpion: I was reborn unlike like you!

^^^if that quote is true its gotta be bi han. dead man means undead eyes. he probably became champion of elder gods like scorpion did in deception after getting tossed in the soulnado. there's a difference between undead eyes and glowy eyes. glowy eyes....glow (like kuai's eyes in deadly alliance and deception with the dragon medallion because he was full of power). but undead eyes don't glow. they're just plain white. it doesn't matter.

if its bi han, it'd be awesome if him and scorpion team up and defeat quan chi for pinning them against each other......I just can';t wait to see what's what and who's who in this game. feeling pumped grin

Specualtion time:

I am more interested why Elder Gods decided to make Bi-Han their Champion: what kind of great danger is there, which made'em act?

In MKD it was Onaga who threatened to reunite relams, and subsequently kill Elder Gods and ressurect One Being. In MKX...who is this new danger? Not Kotal Kahn, I believe. He is "just" a new emperor of the Outworld and so far nothing indicates that he decided to tamper with Kamodogu or some such. Shinnok? I don't think so - I suspect he will be dealed with in the begining of the story mode. New villain, who will be the final boss of the Story mode (and most likely arcade mode)? Now, that's mots likely. But how this powerful guy should be to make himself important enough to Elder Gods assign Bi-Han to bring his head?

Now, just to clarify: I believe, that MKX Story Mode will be separated into logical parts, like it was in MK9 (MK1, MK2, MK3). The first part will be remake of MK4, then Rise of Kotal Kahn and, finally, Fall of Kotal Kahn and the new threat, that could've been in development throughout all three parts.

While I still hope it is Kuai Liang, Bi-Han has experience with defeating Shinnok in personal kombat, something none other character has at the time, it would make sense if the soulnado sends him to the elder gods that they see the opportunity to use him as a weapon against Shinnok, specially now that he has been working with them and knows their plans.

Technically he escaped Shinnok, not defeated him. But if the Scorpionchampion plotline is done with Bi-Han it could be argued that yes, Liang is being soulraped by the trollfaced sorcerer, and Scorpion this time WILL have a legitimate beef with Sub-Zero. On the other hand, this could mean that this plot thread would be resolved. What I would not give for it to be so...

it does seem like it will be bi han since he has experience with quan chi, shinnok, and all the netherrealm. through mkm: sub zero and while being noob. he can know whats going on and he might be the last hope for earthrealm in mk10, well at least with the shinnok part of the story.

its gonna be interesting seeing how this whole situation plays out. can't wait for story mode.

Very great way of looking at it and it honestly really works. I would love to see that, even though I also liked Scorpion as the champion of the Elder Gods, Sub-Zero is my favorite character and I think Bi-Han is the best choice.

You and me both, I can't wait to see story mode!

I don't know if I'm convinced just yet that this Sub Zero in MKX is Bi Han.

First off, is there confirmation of the dialogue between Sub Zero and Quan Chi stating that Quan has his brother's soul? Even if that is in fact the dialogue, how do we still know that this Sub Zero is Bi Han? I'm not saying that it's Kuai Liang (because of his transformation to being a cyborg), but remember that Bi Han became Noob Saibot after being killed by Scorpion, and because his soul was tainted he went to the Netherrealm where Quan Chi "restored" him. So a Nightwolf kick into the Soulnado automatically turns Noob Saibot return to Sub Zero because, as some people have claimed, his soul was cleansed by the ordeal? I have got to think more has to be in play here, and that even if Noob becomes Sub Zero again, maybe he's still evil and playing off those who think by changing the colors he's changed allegiances, but it could all be...a Deception?

Anyways, the point I'm getting at is let's not jump so quickly that this is in fact Bi Han or that Bi Han, if returning, is the new Champion of the Elder Gods until we definitely hear confirmation it is. I know it's fun to speculate and have different ideas of where the creators are going, but let's not simply take the word of some random fanboy with about as much intimate knowledge of the creators' plan as a fly on the wall. I think it's highly unlikely that a third brother will jump into the fray and pick up where the two prior ones left off, but then again it was highly unlikely to imagine that Jax, Stryker, Sub Zero, Jade, Kitana, Kung Lao, Smoke, Nightwolf, Kabal all die by the end of the last game.

Meh, at this point if it's not Kuai I really don't want to play. I don't like Bi-han. He's an asshole, and it's been established he's pretty much evil. I keep seeing people saying that bringing Bi-han back as Sub-Zero will end the rivalry with Scorpion too. Those people are fucking retarded. With them both dead now the rivalry will be everlasting. That shit will never end.

Fact is this. Kuai Liang got shit on in MK9. If he's not brought back in MKX AND they make Bi-han Sub-Zero again then he has nothing left. EVERYBODY hates cyber sub-zero. So, basically, he won't be brought back and since he's my favorite character I just have no reason to care about MK.

Kuai fans are getting the VERY short end of the stick with this. At least with Noob Saibot you KNOW he will be seen again. Kuai is just Cyber Sub-Zero. He will rot in hated character hell along with Mokap, Meat, Chameleon, and other characters people detest.

Uh...no, I don't remember an "MKFLegend". Whatever drama you're referring to there may have been before my time, I didn't start posting outside of XiahouDun's story threads until after Shaolin Monks came out.

And how am I supposed to remember "the others" if I don't know which others you mean?

I remember Hector(before his departure) mentioning something about Cyber Sub-Zero not returning after MK9. Just because Kuai is possibly not the Sub-Zero in MKX does not mean he's gone for good. I mean if my favorite character doesn't make the cut...I will still get this game regardless. So my advice would be to stop assuming you know how things will play out.

I still find it strange that it literally takes ONE specific character for you to enjoy the game.

Oh my gosh, this!

Sub-Zero is my all time favorite, and there have been moments that I have not really cared for his story. Doesn't matter which brother comes into play here, or if it's a brand new guy taking the identity (whatever) point is, no matter how trashed Sub-Zero's story could get in here (not saying that it will, but if I somehow end up not liking what they did) I'm still getting the game nonetheless because there's more than just him I am interested in playing as.

I feel like those who actually say, "I will not get this game if so-and-so doesn't make the cut," is not actually a fan of the series, just a character from the series, which is a big difference (obviously).

Agreed. It kind of amazes me that people are so quick to not want the game just because one character might not be in. I know having your all time favorite sitting a game out is disappointing but idk, I don't think I could pass up a new MK game no matter who was or wasn't included lol

Yep. I've said this to several people. If you're a fan of MK, the game doesn't hang in the balance of just one aspect. That type of mentality, comes off very...childish. "They better give me exactly what I want, or I don't care anymore!" Meh...ok? Is that how adults behave? If you care about the series at all, you'd like more than just one character by now, and if not, you'd certainly try to. I honestly find that quite boring to only care about one thing/character.

Yeah, but I HAVE admitted before that if Kuai had his own series then I very well may ditch MK for that.

I mean Icebaby is on point kinda. I'm a fan of the CHARACTER before I am the series whereas many people are vice versa.

I have also said before that doesn't make you any LESS of a fan though because outside of this series Kuai Liang doesn't have his own series. Thus, I play MK to play as him and see his character evolve. Because there isn't another place to be a fan of Kuai. Get what I'm saying?

If it's Bi-Han then Kuai Liang's development will come to a screeching halt and unlike other characters there is a very good chance he won't recover from it because Bi-Han could remain Sub-Zero for the rest of the series until another reboot happens. God knows how long that will take. Hell it will be five years before we get another game after MKX most likely.

I still believe if this is Bi-Han it's strictly for fans of the rivalry because it's clear that Scorpion and Kuai do not have one. So people saying it will kill their rivalry I say I highly doubt that.

I mean Cyrax is my absolute favorite character, but if he doesn't make it?....who cares?! I still have plenty of characters to fall back on, and hopefully some new ones to add to the list.

It just makes me annoyed when people comment on NRS's posts and say "If so-and-so isn't in the game I'm not buying it."

That's the way I've been looking at it for the last few years. Barring shitty retcons (like the one Mileena got), I look at the whole of everything as "Timeline A" and "Timeline B". "Overwritten" events still took place before they were undone/revised and as such can still be considered "part of continuity."

Never thought I'd see the day when the MK plot would make me feel like I was reviewing X-Men chronology, heh.

So, it's Bi-Han, it seems? Nice.
I'm kinda in that i don't want this game because of how they did Kuai Liang in MK9.
But at the same time. I still love Mortal Kombat. And despite the sitty story from MK9. I'm hoping MKX redeems MK9 and moves the series forward with an improved story. I just hope they hired a new writer for this game.
