I seriously what the fucked at this post first of all.
Now that we got that out of the way, here's what Kano did in MK1:
Killed Sonya's partner, was pursued by Sonya, and was captured. That's it. And you just said a character with a whole game dedicated to him (as much as his appearance and moves suck) has less development than that. Not that that comparison between Kano and Taven makes any sense whatsoever. It's as random as your posts lately always are.
But seriously, you have 10 users here tell you everything you say makes no sense. At this point it's you against everyone. 1. You're ignorant of Meso-American cultures if you think Kotal Kahn is based on Ogre.

2. Cassie Cage is Sonya's daughter. Of course she'll have a similar appearance. She's no more of a copy than Mileena.

1) I perfectly know of the Mayan-Aztec cultures, I was just saying that other games used that same culture waaaaaaay before MK. There are so many historical figures and/or cultures that are pretty mush unused in any other franchise...I could name a gladiator, with outworld inspiration in him (and would make sense considering Shao Kahn's Arena), a Maori Warrior, Rajput warrior, Ming Warriors, Mongol Warrior.

And not counting the already existing species that are not well developed such like Demons, Onis, Vampires, Zombies, Wraiths, Elementals and so on.
Some of them could be even more clichè than a lady bug.

Hoonestly even the lady bug could have been insteresing if done differently, with a MK touch in her. Instead of a doll face, they could use an insect face, for instance.

2) And so? Was it really necessary have a daughter? Does a daughter mandatory have to resemble her parents? The world is full of sons and daughters that aren't necessary similar to their parents or the resemblance isn't to obvious.

No, Kano went into Shang Tsung island because he thought it was full of treasures, And he made it as a desperation move because he was cornered by Sonya and her teammates, so he jumped at the last second on the Ghost Ship so he could save his ass.
Since the beginning Kano was depicted as the one who put himself in first place, saving his back for first. But at least in the beginning he had some sort of honor, in fact he foguth ALONGSIDE Sonya and Cage against Goro. he was somekind of anti-hero.

Later, in MK3 he betrays his own Realm, this makes him even more selfish and backstabber than ever. Of course you could see since the beginning three options for him: becoming a full-fledged hero, staying anti-hero or becoming a full-fledged bastard. He chose option 3.

The few infos we know about D'Vorah, coming from beran's mouth, are that she simply hid from Shao Kahn and is a member (perhaps the last) of a species made of human-wasp hybrids that inhabit Outworld.
Is she with Shao Kahn, or against Him?

In case 1 she resembleReptile, in case 2 she will be another Khameleon.

Shut up squirt. No one gives a flying fuck about your nonsense, rude, idiotic posts. They never contribute shit in people's threads. Go away, we'll let you know when Fujin gets revealed.

YOU JUST DESCRIBED YOURSELF. I brought facts to table for everything i say. example the list. also hahaha i though it wasnt possible for kano to get revelead before mileena? see how wrong your dumbass always is? anyways heres a quote since what i said isnt true "The original video game Mortal Kombat was conceived as a fighting game based on Van Damme.[42] Creators Ed Boon and John Tobias originally had desired to author the game starring Van Damme himself. That fell through as Van Damme had a prior deal for another game under the auspices of the Sega Genesis platform. Ed Boon and John Tobias eventually decided to create a different character for the game named Johnny Cage, who is modelled after Jean-Claude Van Damme, primarily from Van Damme's appearance and outfit in the martial arts film Bloodsport." a quote for bruce lee "He is widely considered by commentators, critics, media and other martial artists to be one of the most influential martial artists of all time,[4] and a pop culture icon of the 20th century" but yet what i said was idiotic when it was nothing but facts. bruce lee and van damme are marital art icons and movie icons. it makes sense for them to be succesfull you retard fuck. you still have zero facts as to why mileena was one of the least playes characters. i brought up real STATISTICS for my argument and not just stupid shit i believe in. and you have no facts to why johnny and liu kang shouldnt be successful. #opinionvsfact

How are any of those better concepts than Kotal Kahn?Don't mention Ogre.

Or you could make her a ninja.

1. I know this is hard to believe, but when a woman is pregnant with a girl, the future baby is called a daughter.

2. I didn't know children weren't allowed to resemble their parents.

3. I see you didn't deal with what I said about Mileena.

1) Ninjas allowed MK to have sales of around 30 million(s) and making it one of the most successfull franchises in VG history. I do not know about lady bugs.

2) I haven't noticed your post about Mileena, just rewrite it.

3) What about a brown haired Cassie? She looks like a copy & paste character from her mother, but hey, it is too early too judge I want to see her full move list and her alternative costumes. As for now I do not like the few things revealed so far.

2. No. You can read.
3. I didn't know daughters weren't allowed to have blonde hair. And she's still no more of a copy than Mileena.

I am not comparing characters, I am discussing about them as a whole, in general.

1) I don't know, perhaps it is true, SF had a ninja before MK, but what point are you tryying to make? MK had a native american before SF...

2) She is a daughter/sister, but it's totally different from SHao Kahn and even Kitana. That's exactly the poin I'd tried to make earlier.
You can have a daughter and have different from the parents.

Your post, besides being rude as always, was idiotic because it was off topic. We weren't saying that it didn't "make sense" for 2 ripoffs to be successful. We tried to explain to this user that D'Vorah is way more unique now than the MK1 characters when they made their debut. Because he was assuming that MK would never in a million years be successful with different characters. And there's simply no way we can know that. Nobody disagreed in this:
it makes sense for ripoffs of two of the most iconic martial artists of all time in bruce lee and jean cluade van dam to be succesfull idiot.

So yeah, you're irrelevant to the discussion.

PS. I never said that Kano would never be revealed before Mileena. Wtf are you talking about? My whole argument in another discussion (not this one, you're still irrelevant dude) was that Mileena has pretty good chances to be in the game despite being low on that list. And Kano is in the game despite being also low on that list so please. OpinionVsFacts my ass -.-'

Mileena has had plenty of time to develop into her own character. At least give Cassie the same chance. She's #4 to me out of the new characters, but that shouldn't insinuate that I dislike her. There's still so much time for these opinions to change. Let's not get so worked up about it.

Anywho, I'm still way excited about MKX. Actually in fact, I'm kind of upset I caught wind of it so early because now it's pretty much become an advent calendar for me. v.v

Name at least...well, five of the Mayan inspired warriors in fighting games, than I probably will believe you.

WTF does it even mean?
"MK Touch"...bunch of fanboish crap.

MK was succesful not because of the ninjas. On contrary, a lot of people criticized MK for having too many palette swaps. MK was succesul because of unique "realism" and violence.

It's not "perhaps" - ninja Geki was in SF1 in 1987.
The rest of your arguments are equally misinformed bullshit. Thunder Hawk appeared in Super Street Fighter 2: New Challengers in 1993. NightWolf has appeared in MK3 in 1995. Hell, Chief Thunder from Killer Instinct, was before NightWolf (in 1994).
Where's your fucking originality now, boy? grin

You know, every time I see someone say that characters like D'Vorah or Ferra/Torr doesn't fit i here, I have to laugh at you, and you deserve it. And this isn't meant to be rude at all, but I do have to laugh at you.

Why?

Clearly, you guys are forgetting about characters such as Goro, Kintaro, Baraka, Sheeva, Moloch, Drahmin... characters that aren't necessarily human look like they don't "fit" in... I mean, we've gone from this roster:

To this:

I mean... does Baraka even look like he fits in? Come on...

Wrongo.

In fact, T. Hawk (1993) AND Killer Instinct's Chief Thunder (1994) both predate Nightwolf. Sorry.

What's up with all these wrong facts and statements? Don't people use Google or Wikipedia anymore to check up on their facts before stating them? Or are people just hoping that others will just take their word for it, even though they know the stated facts are wrong?

I mean, come on, it's so easy to read up on a few facts nowadays... Put some effort into it, guys.

I did just an example with Nightwolf, a wrong example. But I have never compared Mk to Sf it was just a reply to someone else point.
If so, Mk had Goro, something really original and never seen before in videogame. That's what I call original, not D'vorah

Here's my 2 cents:

I think this is the most excited I've ever been for any MK game and MK2011 had me on hype overload! Idk why though, I think it's mainly because of the uncertainty of it's outcome. There's loads and loads of questions to be answered this time both gameplay and story wise, plus all of those new characters?? Will they suck? Will they be awesome? Idk! And you guys don't know either. We have no idea who's making the final cut, who the boss is, it's just madness!

Besides, even if this game was surely going to suck, I would get it anyway because I'm a sucker for MK games. I love it that much. Guess it's a good thing that it wont suck, I mean look at freakin Raiden! B.A.

P.S that brawl in the woods/forest/whatever between Scorpion and Sub-Zero was by far the best MK trailer to date. I watched it over and over again.

So yeah I'm excitedgrin

So you're complaing on a character who has no originaity? and basing this on various genres of Video Games...that could be the DUMBEST opinion I've seen yet. Yes there's other "bug-girls" out there but what about the multitude of telekinetics, hero-esques, undead pyros all around?

I mean there's not even many bug-girls in fighters as it is

(only can think of Shino (but that's more anime) and Q-Bee from Darkstalkers and Stun and Xion from Bloody Roar but out of those 4, Q-Bee is the only bug-lady that came in my mind so D'vorah is definitely more original than a good portion of the MK cast as it is.

On topic,

I'm giving time for this game, but I'm most definitely excited to play it. I love MK9, but I was hoping for more newbies than Skarlet. Don't get me wrong, I love the game, but I wanted some new refreshing faces (even though the MK-MK3 storyline being warped was a nice touch and a lot easier to understand since back then it was just only text-based).

From what we've got so far, this new time slide is going to be interesting especially with how far they'll go forward (and possibly surpassing all the events to Armageddon) though with it in mind, I do wonder what the MK4-MKA line-up will be like. (other fighters have done a full timeskip (Tekken 3, SCV), but not in the way MKX is so I'm more than interested on how the story will work.

Also this new style system looks friggin neat and I'm definitely excited to try that out. I wasn't too much of a fan of the 3D system, so seeing them expand on MK9's will be sweet!

Can you confirm that with an official source stating the exact amount of positives there are for each negative? That'd be great.

;P

This. It looks really good and I'm liking the new characters (especially D'Vorah) but I'm not as hyped as I was with MK9.

But maybe that'll change with PAX and more reveals.
