In terms of costumes, guys, don't forget that some of the characters' styles are alternate/tweaked costumes in of themselves (like D'Vorah)

As some people have been saying, I believe "classic" MK characters will have an alternate, older costume, whereas new MK characters will have the usual alternate costumes.

He looks awful and a very underwhelming reveal.

Why can't they just let Kano die off?

Alright, so I found the pics and have now seen Kano's new look. And goddamnit he looks really ugly!!! They've simply taken the things from Hsu Hao and merged them with Kano. What a disappointment!

Very disappointed in the way they're handling MK character reveals again.

Kano does look like he has inherited some of Hsu Hao's traits. (Gonna laugh a lot when people start praising Kano for having wrestling and a cyber heart)

At least they didn't announce a brand new character in a magazine. Would be killing any hype for them before they had a chance.

If we get another character at Gamescom I hope they fight Kano so we can see a bit of him in action.

Does anyone else notice how the silver part of his eye implant is no longer visible? That part of his face no looks normal except for the red, glowing 'eye' itself.

And really, those are just gauntlet type things on his arms. They aren't cybernetic enhancements. I have to say this design is a bit meh. I was hoping for a more aged Kano with more obvious cybernetic enhancements.

Just 'cause the red thing from his bandolier is bigger doesn't necessarily mean it's implanted into him like Hsu Hao's heart. Look at all the leather straps holding it onto him.

Besides, if it was connected to him, it wouldn't be the worst thing. Its purpose has always been a complete mystery, although it looks in MKvsDCU and MK9 like it might actually be wired up to be the battery that powers his laser eye.

And wrestling as a style fits him well, he had some command grabs in MK9.

Kano has got to be the most out of left field reveal what's so ever. Just random as hell. But congrats to you Kano fans out there, he was I think one of the last few characters revealed for MK9 and now he's one of the first revealed in MKX.

That said- I'm bored. There's nothing about Kano that truly has me jumping up and down...he's just Kano. These past two returning character reveals, Raiden and Kano, have been extremely "meh".

Looks like they threw a lot of "Hsu Hao" elements into his design and they even gave Kano his "wrestling" style. Meh, might as well, it's not like we'll be seeing Hsu Hao ever again.

I really hope Kano isn't the "big reveal" at that game convention or I'll just cry.

Hopefully they are saving a reveal of a NEW character for Gamescom. Maybe we'll get footage of them fighting Kano, like someone else suggested. That would be pretty cool. I'd be satisfied with that.

Btw, his heart looks more like Iron Man's one than Hsu Hao's one.

I'm sorry to all Kano fans and to those who like his new look... but I am really disappointed with his new look. Hopefully it will grow on me, but my first reaction was "WHAT THE FUCK did they do to Kano?!!". I REALLY don't like his new look in these images. Perhaps it will look better when in motion, but as of now, it's definately his worst look ever, imo.

I'm hoping it's not an MK9 alumni. I'm praying for a MK4-MKD character. If it is another MK9 vet then i'm hoping for Mileena or Ermac!

I think it's because of the red thing on his chest being larger/more prominent and him being shirtless with the military-type pants. That is a bit evocative of Hsu Hao's costume.
