With so many of the matches being arranged so that specific more significant matches take place in the next rounds... Mileena and Jade kind of get screwed, heh. Kitana gets to go against Rain, then Sindel/Shao Kahn, which all make sense. Jade and Mileena (after killing each other) go against Johnny Cage or Stryker? Das' sum boo. How exciting is Mileena vs. Stryker?

Looks like we are headed for a close round (like the Reptile and Ermac one). In the last 10 seconds I refreshed the page, Smoke was winning, then Sektor, and now they are tieing.
Sektor has gotten my vote this time. The amount of people spamming Smoke combos online kinda killed it for me.

This is another tough one. Around the time MKA came out I was a becoming a big Sektor fan but between MKvDC and MK2011 I haven't really been feeling him.

I've never been into Smoke but I enjoyed playing with him in the most recent game.

I guess I'm voting for Smoke based on that haircape.

Anyway I'm voting for my favorite cyborg/robot in the world, the cold and ruthless Sektor!

Back in the early days I was pretty much indifferent towards both characters, however MKA made me like Sektor a lot due to his fantastic designs and very fun gameplay. And now MK2011 has made me fall in love with Sektor, yet another badass design (primary look, screw human Sek & Cy) and f***ing fantastic gameplay (DAT X-RAY!). Two great fatalities are another bonus for him. My 2nd most used character in MK2011, Sektor that is.

Although I felt sympathetic for Smoke in the story mode and I'm glad they finally gave him a more unique set of moves I still hardly care about the character. I'm not impressed with his costumes either and I don't like the hair, sorry Smoke fans.

Before MK9 without a doubt I would have voted for Sektor, because we were never really given a taste of Smokes personality, but I love everything about him in MK9, his looks, his gameplay, his personality.

I also hate that this character has been around for like 19 years, gets his own personality etc then gets his necked snapped in the same game :|

Sektor gets my vote; I love his attacks and gameplay, especially his MK9 reincarnation; almost any combo can get a teleport punch, flamethrower attack or missile chucked in there for good measure, and I am very much a fan of things that spew missiles and flamethrower attacks :P

Aesthetics-wise, I've always been a fan of his designs, at first I was unsure of his MK9 design, but it grew on me eventually hehe. Heck, I've built a wearable version of his MK3 outfit :P And that evil, evil chuckle when he does a fatality/enhanced teleport punch is the best thing ever!

Story-wise, I like his loyal and unquestioning nature which is counterbalanced by his initiative and drive to take control of the Lin Kuei for himself.

I am also a fan of Smoke, which makes this round a sad one for me... Smoke has had one of the most unique character developments throughout MK history due to his status changing from ninja to ninja cyborg to some kind of strange cyber demon sorta thing going on around MKA, and now he's been classed as being an Enenra as of MK9.

His moveset previously was kinda cheap how he'd borrow attacks from other characters and stuff, but my MK9, he has a pretty cool set of attacks.

Noob-Smoke was my 3rd favourite character in Deception, and was Smoke alone was one of my main characters I'd use in Armageddon.

However, Sekkie's my favourite MK character of all time, so my vote will unquestioningly go to him hahaha.

PS. Sektor kicks Smoke's butt in the Temple scene in MK9, and if it wasn't for Nightwolf's intervention, Sektor woulda wiped him out. Consider that when ya vote, peeps, hehehe...

Sektor was once my favourite cyborg in the original timeline and I still like him in the new timeline, but Cyrax and Cyborg Subbie have taken his spot as my favourite cyborgs, Subbie the most though. In the newest game, Sektor just feels clumsy and slow to play as, however, he looks fantastic and I think his role in the Story Mode is excellent! His human form looks a bit boring though, but he is overall a really nice character.

I never really cared for Smoke until this game. He was kinda cool looking in MKD-MKA in his elemental "human" form, but his newest human form is just excellent and awesome! I love his gameplay which has been redone and made original, his main outfit is just fantastic looking with his fabulous hair and that metallic armour, and his role in Story Mode was really well executed. I also see the potential of a maybe-gay character which of course automatically gives him some extra cool points. ;P
I have simply fallen in love with the new Smoke and he is one of my mains in the game. So of course I vote for him!

I don't like MK9 Smoke, or using him. His costumes are ugly, but his MK2 skin is pretty sexy, but the MK3 skins for all (cyber)ninjas are way better.

This is the hardest match for me so far. I've always liked Sektor, and they knocked his potrayal in story mode (since that's all any of you seem to care about lol) and his voice acting and new design out of the park in MK9. And yes, someone said it already but his evil laugh is the coolest thing ever.

BUT MK9 is also the first time I ever liked Smoke. We finally got a human Smoke who is a real character with his own moves and not just a gray Scorpion. We finally get his real name and backstory after all these years. I liked his voice actor and his bumbling hot-head personality in story mode was very entertaining to me. Plus, his whole presence in the game is a massive troll to the traditionalists who insist on making him a prop to add "tragedy" to Sub-Zero's story, and who insist on a human Sub and cyber Smoke only. I can definitely get on board with that.

So it's very close for me, but I'm voting Smoke.

I'm voting Smoke due to the fact that I used him all the time in UMK3.

Smoke means more than Sektor to me. Both of them are good but Smoke is overall and in many (maybe not all) ways better. I'll vote for Zmoke.
