I thought of Goro and Sonya, who aren't in MK2. I also did NOT include Johnny Cage, Reptile, Baraka, Kung Lao, or Shang Tsung, who were all in MK2. What's your point?

I voted Mavado in this round, but I'm not particularly fond of either of them.

I thought I vote for Tremor in the last match. He deserves a chance to be in the next game if he had earth abilities.

I wrote this about my least favorite MK characters back in 2006 when I had an LJ account. It still holds up:

"Mavado (#4) looks like Lou Diamond Phillips, which is admittedly cool. He fights with ribbons, which... can be cool, if you've seen Iron Monkey and bore witness to the destructive potential of scarves. But when those scarves smashed through concrete they made nifty, hushed, unraveling sounds, Not "BOING" noises. However, the real injustice is that this clown reaved his hookswords from Kabal. Yes: a prettyboy with elastic gift wrap (and no combos) beat a double-bladed psychopath who runs at super speed and shoots plasma bolts out of his face."

Kabal, he shouldn't have been dropped in MKDA and Mavada really shouldn't exist.

Ehh... neither of these two really excite me. Guess I'll vote Kabal. These two characters never really peaked my intrests in any of the games they showcased in.

Mavado is an abomination and should drown in urine

Mavado. I liked his fighting styles and he just seemed a lot classier than Kabal. Especially in that alternate costume. Looking forward to seeing more of Mavado and the Red Dragon in the future.

I don't dislike Kabal but if Mavado could replace him forever, I'd be perfectly alright with that.

I really like Mavado and his grappling hook moves, but I felt like he needed better moves to expand on the ones he already had. Some of the rope moves Jarek had in MKA could have easily been given to Mavado instead. I also really like his Alt. Costume.

Kabal has been here since MK3 and I really like his moves. His hookswords are pretty neat as well. I really like his voice actor for MK9 and his 2nd fatality is one of the better ones in the game.

Sorry Kabal, but I'm going to vote for Mavado. I just think Mavado could become a really bada** character if they expand a bit more on his moves, fatalities and storyline. I see a lot of potential in him for future MK games if NRS decides to use that potential.

I just find him more interesting than Kabal. Plus, Mavado evidently kicked the ever-living crap out of Kabal and took his swords once...so I'm not so sure that he couldn't do it again.
