Don't worry, I don't look down at anyone calling them for ninjas. I am just stating that it is a wrong term when in fact Scorpion is the only real ninja. I don't think any less of others just because they can't (or won't) make use of the correct terms. That would be like if I hated on all analphabets for not being able to spell correctly. Some people, like ShadowPreacher, just wants to push my buttons by deliberately calling them ninjas which I of course think is immature of him, but I'm not going to hate him or think any less of him for it. Especially because it doesn't push any of my buttons. ^^

In the end, all we're doing is sharing opinions and views, sharing eachothers perspective of things and then it is up to the individual to accept the others opinions or not.

Personally, I don't care what others think. I see my own perspective as the right one, or else I wouldn't have that perspective, logically enough. Of course I can see the difference between facts and opinions though, and me saying DCU characters' outfits looking campy is me stating just my opinion. I am not denying their status as iconic characters, but that is why I like Marvel better than DCU. The campy looks of the DCU characters don't appeal to me.

But this is about Mortal Kombat. The colours and the V shaped "ninja" look might be what makes the characters easily recognizable to some people, because it is easy to distinct between them. But characters like Sonya, Kano, Kabal, Stryker,, Jax Johnny Cage, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Raiden... Their difference in costume and character is what makes them recognizable. They are unique in apperance from one another. The palette swap characters weren't, no matter how iconic the look may be.

It is changing for the better though. For each game they do seem to become more and more unique in looks, and I like that. As said, the day all of them are different from one another in appearance will be a happy day for me.

Hmm, you're right, I should change my statement... I generally like the Batman series, but that's the only part of the DCU I like. It's darker and gritter, less campy, though there are still some characters who are indeed campy-looking in the Batman-series, such as Robin.

What the Batman: Arkham series are doing well is making the characters' outfits more modern-looking, taking them away from the campy looks that seems to be the curse of DCU characters.

NRS is trying to do the same with Injustice and I think that's cool. Of course, Flash, Superman, Wonder Woman, they still look campy in my opinion, but it's a step in the right direction at least.

Don't just focus on the name. Don't be ignorant. I hope you know that Noob was called Noob before the expression "noob" existed. And I hope you know that there is alot more to him than that. There are reasons to vote for Noob over Sonya.

I hate how people bring up the name Noob, and then justify him as being a joke character because of that name.

It's just Boon backwards, and when he was created the internet term, which I think is dumb btw, was not even around yet.

Also, if we want to say he's a joke character because he's named after Boon, well then Sonya is just as much a joke character because she's named after his sister.

I'm neutral on this vote, and haven't voted yet because I really like both of these characters. Noob is in my top 5, but man I love Sonya. She's the face of the females and Mortal Kombat just ain't Mortal Kombat without her.

I'm going to wait a little while longer before I vote though. I still think Smoke is going to end up winning this thing somehow. Which I hope doesn't happen. I used to love Smoke but after MK9 he's on my crap list.

Partially because Sub-Zero became a walking refrigerator, but partially because everybody jumps on his nuts now, and for no good reason either. I don't see where his popularity came from. Reptile was the first hidden character, and he doesn't have as many fans as Smoke does. Plus, Jade my favorite girl in the series got so much hate for nearly beating Johnny, and that hack Smoke doesn't catch any crap for blowing Sektor, Cyrax, and Liu Kang out of the water. Smoke = Most Overrated character,IMO. Whoever I end up voting for Sonya or Noob Saibot, I hope they beat Smoke. No offense to Smoke fans, it's just I really don't understand his popularity at all, and probably never will.
