Everyone wanted unmasked Sub-Zero, here he is. He looks awesome IMO. And it's not a fuckin' palette swap! BTW, some of you need to quit complaining about him not looking perfect enough. Get over it.

I'm certain they combined the mk3 and umk3 looks so that sub zero could have both without having so many costumes but then now cyborg sub zero has a classic alt so I don't know anymore lol. Here's hoping every character gets a classic alt or 2.

If the number of people who refuse the compatibility pack is so large that it creates significantly more desyncs , then that just goes to show that we right the whole time about Freddy being a weak edition and that the whole "he'll bring in more fans!" charade was nonsense from the get go.

I'm in favor of unmasked Sub-Zero, but, WTF is this bullshit of giving Cyber Sub-Zero a klassic palette swap?! NRS.....!!! We should of gotten a Cyber Smoke skin or MK2 Mileena costume??? Where is Mileena's MK2 skin, NRS? It's in the costume list in MK Warehouse but, we don't get it! These two character's are more deserving than CSZ!!! NRS, go jump in a pile of elephant dung!

For me. I'm kind of digging the 'classic' sub-zero costume. Although it is not strictly how he looked in MK3, in certain ways I like this look better. His face, while not nearly as handsome as Turk, is more reminiscent to his Asian heritage – which is kind of important to a ninja. As for the costume change, I can see why they went this way. They now have a template (save the mask) for all the other MK ninja from UMK3. Although I kind of liked it when Sub-Zero “stopped being a ninja”, I can still appreciate this look in ninja garments. It’s kind of a MK3-4 hybrid. The scar was a defining look for Sub-Zero and it needed to return in this game.

As for cyber-sub, I’m glad he is finally getting an alternate costume. I loved the classic looks of the robots. I even like cyber-sub as a character, because I don’t want to re-live the same MK over and over again. I don’t know if this happened to anyone else, but I kind of felt cyber-sub was an ‘incomplete character’ because he didn’t have an alt in the game. Now he does, I might use him more.

I am a bit of a Sub-fan, in that I favour him over scorpion. So I’m happy with this DLC pack. I’ll definitely pick it up, but I’m not too sure about Freddy just yet... That being said, it would have been cool to play as inferno scorpion, as it would add some balance between the two poster boys.

I have little doubt there will be future DLC costumes. But they will most likely be all ninjas, simply because of the time and money though will have to spend making costumes from scratch.

MK2 – Mileena, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile.

UMK3 - Scorpion, Reptile, Ermac.

If we are lucky, we might get a MK3 smoke costume to sell the package to fans.

Anything else will simply depend on sales. They have to first justify that the time and money it costs to make new costumes will be profitable. Everything we have gotten so far would have been planned before the game was released. Personally I would prefer costumes over characters as the roster for this game is pretty full as is. I’m a bit off topic now, so I’ll close by saying I like this free DLC package.

I don't mind not being able to use Freddy because someone didn't download the compatibility pack. I just find the fact that some people are not downloading it only because they think that'll piss off Freddy fans who are ruining their game extremely stupid.

If anything, the idea that someone is probably rejoicing on the fact that I can't use Freddy online and thinking "take that, Freddy-fags!" is very funny, and sad. EDIT: This was for [Killswitch], sorry.

That's what I was getting at. It just baffles me to see there are some people that will go to these lengths to show how they feel about a guest character. Let alone a character they don't even have to purchase.

That's not entirely accurate, MK1 Cage's outfit is a pair of shorts with a sash attached to it. His pants in MK9 are completely different from that. You're probably thinking of his MK2 look, which in that case is extremely similar.

Agreed, despite my lack of interest in most of the packs, I still downloaded them and will get this one, it's not fair to other fans to not get it, I hate not being able to play with Kenshi or Rain because people don't get the packs, so I won't do that to anybody, just won't be getting Freddy.

Even though it's a character no one wants to pay for, but it's free DLC....who could argue with FREE.

I didn't realize how much the scar looks like a... well, a scar now. Not that the ice streak or the red paint didn't have it's own charisma, but it's cool seeing how the scar was intended to look.

Amen. Why should I sully my MK experience for the benefit of others? It's my game. If I don't want to have anything to do with Krueger that's my right and choice. Conversely, if you're into him, by all means do what's right for you. I'm not going to be guilt tripped into downloading the pack just to make other people happy. They didn't buy my game. They're not contributing anything to me personally.

What's really annoying when you think about it, is that all the time devoted to Krueger and Kratos could've been spent on other MK characters and MK skins or working out the bugs. I didn't get to watch too much EVO but when I did get to watch MK one of the commentators mentioned how sub-par the patches/updates/fixes were. But that's OK, because we got Kratos and Krueger.
