nope, not a sad thing about it. At first I was annoyed that nrs didn't make the packs mandatory, cuz it caused desyncs andstuff, but now through either design or just usual nrs laziness / ineptitude they've blessed us who don't want to deal with guest character bs.

I thought the reason Skarlet wasn't getting a retro kostume was because she was new. Uh... Cyber Sub is new.

Mixed Feelings

The Good:
-I love UMK3 sub and hoped for him at launch. Fine with that.
-not gonna complain with klassic cybersub.

The Bad:
Inferno Scorpion and umk3 unmasked sub would have been a MUCH better final pack. The two Icons of MK. I thought it was a no-Brainer.

I've said that like 30 times in a dozen other threads on this forum. I've been saying that since the moment MK2 Smoke and Noob were revealed and before MK2 Jade and Kitana were revealed...

MK2 Mileena, Reptile, Scorpion & Sub-Zero, and all the UMK3 Males will likely be the basis of 1 or 2 more Klassic Costume packs. Rain, Skarlet & Cyber-Smoke will be included if we're lucky, but are by no means guaranteed.

I really hope you guys are right about us getting the UMK3 Ninja outfits.

But I something tells me that is this the LAST of the DLC for this game which really sucks because people clearly want more.

I think that is what annoys me the most about this Classic Pack is the fact that is it probably the last one. But here to Hoping...

They've already done the work to create another ($5) Costume Pack-
I'll be highly surprised if they don't take the opportunity to turn an easy profit.

Not always, the former Human Sub-Zero costumes had different voices as well. But seeing this is DLC you'd expect NRS to go the easy way around what comes to voice at the least.

Interesting note: if you look at the picture seen on the embedded YouTube video of the original post, you may notice the advert with letters "B" and "D" perhaps referring to the Black Dragon clan.

Klassic CSZ and MKII Jade weren't certainly priority one in the downloadable costumes, leaving space for new DLC when Mileena and Smoke would have been of a bigger request. However, I'm happy with what we got, especially when I've started to enjoy CSZ and play as him a little. The remaining new-comers to Mortal Kombat will be spoiled after reading about the CSZ skin download via PSN and XBLM.

No need to worry; even the Klassic Kostume Pack #1 suggests that NRS has had plans to release another batch in the future - and what is stopping them? Just enjoy the calm before the next DLC announcement.

These costumes were the determining factor as to whether i would buy or not... and as it stands im not . These costumes are not interesting enough for me to consider downloading the compatibility pack.

Mostly agreed. Cyber Sub looks great, MK3 Sub could have been closer to the original, but overall I'm happy with the two skins.

I'd be really keen to see MK1 and MK3 versions of Sonya, maybe a MK1 Cage, not that there's a lot to him.

I would really really love though to see MK1 2 and 3 versions for Shang

I am demanding more DLC's! Now please, because their are so many other characters that could have gotten a retro costume. But no, we get Cyber Sub-Zero.

This also marks the first time Smoke is not included in a DLC trailer IIRC and now we have two characters from the original time line (Raiden alt and Klassic S-Z).

Disappointment everywhere...And I'm loving every minute of it.

I think at this point there will be no more DLC characters released, which I'm fine with we already have a quality cast of characters. Is this the last of the DLC costumes though? I really don't think so. I'm no game developer but I'm pretty certain it requires a lot less time and effort for costumes than characters, a UMK3 male ninja pack would be very easy to make considering once you make the initial design the rest are mere palette swaps and NRS know they're gonna reel in a ton of money with that.

There's also been very high demand for other iconic characters such as Sonya and Raiden etc to get classic costumes, NRS with little effort could make a lot more money out of all of us on this game so I would be HIGHLY surprised if this was the end of DLC entirely.
