MINION, just because something has things in common with MK does not mean it belongs in MK.

God, are they serious? Why are they wasting their time and budget with stupid guest characters when they can flesh out the game with characters that are actually relevant to the game? Alright, PS3 users get Kratos, that's not the big deal I couldn't care less who the exclusive character was, but now.. what do we Xbox 360 users get? Probably a giant middle finger right? They might as well make Brutalities a PS3 exclusive just to finish screwing us up(although that might not be a bad idea if Brutalities end up being a joke... anyway..) Why do they have to do that? They already have Stereoscopic 3D! Why do they have to favor them? There are also MK fans that are 360 users. I hate console exclusives, I really really hate them. It just makes it unfair considering we are paying the same for both editions of the game(if the exclusive character is not DLC, that is). What's up with their tweet about a great weekend for Mortal Kombat and the supposed "reveal(s)", why increase our hype if they are not going to deliver? Do they really thing the real hardcore MK fans are excited with their lame announcement? First the stupid countdowns, then skipping reveals on the dates they are supposed to reveal something, then the wait for their useless forums and now this. Their marketing so far is such a failure, what they are doing to promote the game, their reveals, the forum.. everything.

Anyway, what's the point in asking so much questions if the team can't or maybe don't want to answer them. Can they be any more lame than this, seriously?

End of rant mode..... Now, all of that is obviously not going to stop me or even make me think of not buying the game. I love MK and I'll always support the game, but I can't help to think about all of this and not feeling fooled by them. It's not the fact that Kratos is in MK, I mean, yeah he fits because he brutally kills people and he can have a cool fighting style and amazing special moves yeah whatever.. what really pisses me off is the fact that they are screwing with us, the 360 owners. Console fucking exclusives.That's the real problem here.

me of all people? I never defended MKA's story but at least it didn't have guest characters to butcher it. I also posted in the "how hyped are you" topic about my burning hatred for MK Vs DC so I don't even wanna go there again.

And I don't believe that the decision to include Kratos was recent, they probably planned everything about the game first and then decided to put him as a guest character, it's very unlikely they are still choosing who will appear in the game, the roster was finalized a long time ago. Then why do you care?

They're still putting development time into a guest character when they COULD HAVE put development time into a real MK character who would have been able to all the things I mentioned in my other post. It's simply logically true that he's taking the place of an MK character.

He's just a damn dlc character , because I bet if you pre-order it for ps3 you will end up downloading him for free , if not well there is the option to buy him . point is he's not one of those 26 characters . why do you think he doesnt have a story line ? I bet the other dlc characters aren't going to have one either . so don't worry about it and just move on .

how would you guys feel if ed boon gave kratos a story, say hes in hell and meets scorpion and they fight and a portal opens up and he follows him through it to the mk universe................... but then they say its not canon and its not part of the story just apart of kratos.

Back to my original original point, MK characters aren't that deep when you get right down to it. More than the average fighting game character? Most definitely. But Kratos and the majority of MK characters are on the same level of character depth.

I disagree. Because this is the notion that was thrown around with Stryker. He doesn't fit, he doesn't fit. I'm sorry I'm not as Narrow minded, and actually give things a chance. I guess this is one of the reasons I have a high tolerance for negativity.

And if everyone from MK1-UMK3 appears in the new game, then I can't think of anyone who missed the party because of Kratos. Probably Rain or Sheeva, haha.

Stryker was made to be an MK character. He literally exists in the MK universe.

Kratos is from a different franchise. No matter how similar in aesthetic that franchise ever gets to MK, it's still NOT MK, it's a DIFFERENT FRANCHISE.

Hoping for Master Chief to be Kratos counterpart on the 360. Cant wait to throw stickies as my projectiles into my opponents faces!

Jade fans seem the most worried right now. I think Jade is secured, but Sheeva's going to be lucky if she gets anything beyond a story mode cameo.

Obviously? I knew this. I'm not saying Kratos was meant to be a MK character. I'm saying he fits in the Universe due to how ruthless he is. Bloodshed is something GoW strives on as does MK with it's Fatality's, Blood & Gore. I could not see a more fitting Guest character. Do I think he should be in every MK game after this one? NO, That would be a selfish state of mind because obvious Kratos belongs to 1 world in which he lives. But for a Guest character it's a perfect opportunity to Strech the character passed Greek Mythology and open up his presence in a new form of Development. It's obvious Jaffe felt strongly about him fitting in thus why he is. Jaffe isn't an easy guy when it comes to his Franchises. We never seen Sweet Tooth in anything outside of Twisted Metal so to see Kratos in MK say's a lot. Granted he was in Soul Calibur. That I can say was not needed, much like Link in SC. I can agree those choices for that game were Ludicrious. But with a Game like MK as violent as it's going to be, I see much enjoyment.

On that note, has anybody ever really looked at the MK Team members? Don't they just LOOK like shady characters? Names like "Hans Lo", "Hector Sanchez", "Ed Boon"...sound like rejected codenames for the Expendables...

Disappointing VGA's were disappointing.

I think the only good things I took out of this were:

More Resistance 3 footage
The Mass Effect 3 Trailer..Best part of this show...Dear God..That looked awesome with The Reaper Invasion.
The Del toro game looked ok but 2013?? Damn.
That was it though and The robed men? Wtf? was Undertaker about to show up for the evening?
Anything else besides trailers was Fast-Forward worthy
