Just because she didn't do that in UMK3? That's a pretty weak argument, let's be honest. Also, what other character actually displays her sexuality, or exploits it? Sonya? Despite wearing no shirt, she's about as militant as it comes. Kitana? That little wink at the end? That's sexual now?

I did. Go back a page. And I have never, EVER, said the characters were ever "prudes". That is stuff that is coming from you all, not I.

I am done here. Not arguing with you all anymore. Everytime I do, the point gets COMPLETELY missed, and people go straight for the "prude" attribute which, and people who share my concerns can attest, is not what we are saying either.

I really don't understand this at all.


Why isn't the MK team allowed to have any fun with their characters anymore? Were people bitching when we got Babalities in Mortal Kombat 2? Fuck. When did Jade ever have the power to turn her opponent into a baby?

OMG SOMETHING THAT'S NOT IN LINE WITH HER STORY!

This is the same damn thing. It's the developers having fun with their characters. It's SEPARATE from their actual canon. None of the fights we take place in are canon. This shit has never been a problem before, and has always been a part of MK. Why is it a problem now?

There's something so sexy about a strong, sexy woman
Who can kick your ass & maintain feminine qualities.

I think that was what NRS was going for.
Very cheeky & innocent.

This doesn't take away from her story or make her
No less of a good character with (hopefully) a good story.
Besides, it's only a damn game people. >_>

Oh, geez... I feel like I'm breaking a terrible illness to a hospital patient or informing someone that a relative of theirs is deceased.

T-rex, as a MASSIVE fan of Parasite Eve, let me just be frank with you. They screwed up. Badly. I would even say that the only people who might marginally enjoy 3rd Birthday are people who never DID play Parasite Eve. If you like Parasite Eve, and you liked Aya Brea in those games, you will absolutely, utterly HATE what they did to her (and her supporting characters) in this game. It makes what they did to Samus in Other M seem tame by comparison. I would say that 3rd Birthday is probably the worst story Square has ever done (and they did Drakengard and Mindjack), and they pretty much went out of their way to ruin Aya Brea in a way that is practically irredeemable.

... So, yeah. Jade's stripper-pole win-pose doesn't seem so bad by comparison.

Just quoting this because I think Luca speaks true. You'll actually enjoy Mortal Kombat MORE, if you let go of all these rules you have set for yourself concerning the game.

Or, you can just hold on to them and ruin the fun for yourself by nitpicking on details. Like Kitana's hair! Damn you, NRS! furious

I kinda hate it and kinda love it. It's lame and unnecessary, but on the other hand it's contributing to the Heavy Metalization of MK.

I'm not defending the story don't get me wrong, the story and characters are a mess and the game itself doesnt deserve to be compared to the first 2 games but The 3rd birthday is nowhere near other M in my opinion. Well at least the gameplay is somewhat fun.

On topic - I like this win pose and for those who watched the stream do the characters have diferent get up animations during rounds? like in deception?

Yeah, I did finish 3rd Birthday... and I hate the ending just as much. What a cop-out and a terrible twist.

So we weren't playing as Aya at all? It was Eve? And Aya was, what, dead the whole time or something? That's like saying the next Metal Gear stars a retarded and cowardly Solid Snake only to reveal Snake's actually dead and Otacon put his psyche into Snake's body and got amnesia and thought he was really Snake. Argh.

As for the rest

I'll preface my statement with I'm not particularly miffed by this win pose.
However, I don't love it. It's a bit... iunno. For one I don't like how it's animated. She seems very stiff sliding down it, though that may be because the video i saw was choppy.

on top of that, similarly to some of the other victory poses (Kitana's, Jax's ), it just doesn't seem like the sort of thing you'd do when winning in Mortal Kombat >_O I much preferred her MK3 twirl of the staff before posing. I have a gif of it somewhere and its awesome

Jade's Pole Dance win pose = funny and cool.

It's Jade having fun after a dangerous battle, she is sexy, gorgeous, quick and deadly, and enjoy to do nice pole dance after stressful battles. tongue

Jade = top-notch character and sexiest female in MK 2011. Period wink
