What we have here is a Noob based largely on his MKT/UMK3SNES incarnation. Almost all of his moves were lifted from that incarnation and translated into the new fighting engine here. Noob only had shurikens in MKD and MKA, and they were lifted entirely from Reiko in MK4. Reiko replaced Noob in the original MK4 lineup so they have been lumped together somewhat. But shurikens were never originally a signature of his until way later into the series.

This character has so many fan-ideas in it, it's unbelievable that I haven't seen anyone rant about how they thought up a move first. This is fantastic. That move where he shoots that black hole up in the air, then it lands "around" Queen Sindel and takes her underground is strikingly similar to something I thought up a while back. Amazing. It's exactly like I thought it would work too.

I honestly don't expect people to comb through that thread but, the proof is there is all I'm saying. So if I hear anyone talking about how NRS doesn't listen to the fans.... well, I'll just disagree really strongly.

Just got home from school and NOOB KICKS ASS HE MADE JADE PPUKE my goodness.He is so nasty lmao

Well Ermac didn't float in UMK3, Scorpion didn't summon fire out of the ground to burn people until DA, Sub-Zero didn't make swords out of ice to stab people with until DA, etc.

Moves and things from the more recent games have been showing up more in this one, to create a sense of connected continuity, reinforce the whole idea of "It's all the same universe, and they could technically always do these moves."

And shurikens weren't just another move for Noob in Deception/Armageddon, they showed up in his versus screen pose and he did them in a story cutscene, where it even showed how they were made out of darkness like everything else Noob does is, and poofed away after they stuck into Taven's chest. It was kinda like his signature thing. And it's not like he learned any new techniques or got a power upgrade or downgrade in the storyline, to explain "No, he wouldn't have that move yet because ____ hasn't happened in the plot yet."

So you'd think we'd see them a little bit somewhere. I mean, let him have his MKT moves too, those are all great and iconic too him, yes, but put the shurikens into one of his moves also.

I don't see the shurikens being too useful now that the Disabler is back.

OMG Noob looks and play Amazing!!! Sindel's hair flows much beter then kitana's but she better have her hair attack to make up for her lackluster hair though...And has anyone noticed that during the whole video except when jade got hit by the x ray she is holding her spear in her left hand is it a glitch or thats how it is??

Also, I think Jade's costume is actually more revealing than Kitana's. Im not opposed to the revealing costumes, just an observation.

I'm not saying Noob shouldn't have shurikens. I'm exploring a possibility as to why we haven't seen them.

Well, besides the fact that the Disabler doesn't do the same thing a regular projectile does, it inflicts a status effect instead of dealing damage on its own...

There's more than one way to put something in the game. He could have used stars to start his X-Ray the way Liu starts his with his old MK1 finisher. Or he could use throwing stars in one of his Fatalities. Or he could've thrown them low or in the air instead of as a normal projectile. Or one of his enhanced moves could involve adding shuriken throwing to the regular move somehow.

There's lots of ways if you get creative.

In fact, come to think of it, the Disabler could actually be the Enhanced version of a special move rather than the regular version. Considering how powerful it is, why not?

Another thing, I dont like that Jade holds her staff the entire time, like if she has that, why couldnt they put Kitana's fans on her costume, and Mileena's sais?

I did not realize his clone ability was anything canon, this is the first time I have ever seen it, except for in the movie. Unless he had it in UMK3 or trilogy, which I havent played in like 10 years so I cant remember that detail

Yes, Noob had a move and a finisher where he made a clone out of shadow in UMK3/Trilogy.

I might be missing something,but don't think I've actually seen Noob use a stand-alone Disabler in this video. He does use one at the very end,true,but that one is immediately followed by the X-Ray,leading me to believe that it's actually a projectile initiator for the X-Ray,sort of like Sektor's missile. I wouldn't mind that,actually. That thing was way too fucking broken in MKT.

Anywho, I thought this was one of the best (if not the best) videos so far. Seeing this Noob Saibot has gotten me more excited about a character I could care less about than any we've seen so far. Just judging from this I see Noob becoming one of my main characters.

Things I Liked:
- Noob looks/sounds perfect!
- The stages we haven't seen much of or at all look amazing!
(There's that dragon again. And it's definitely Goro in his lair.)
- Jade's staff is back.
- Noob's moves are exactly what people were asking for.
- Noob's X-ray is original, and involves puke in a way Bo Rai Cho never could.
- Some good shots of Ermac as well, with a new move.
