Well...a character's not "confirmed" until the developers show them to us.

But there's zero doubt Kabal and Smoke are in the game. I mean...they were always gonna be in the game. You can't leave them out, why would you?

Ok, Quan Chi being retroactively inserted into the MK1 continuity isn't the worst mistake of the Vogel OR Tobias era. When I look at it objectively, which is very hard for me, it was actually a really good way to establish him as an important character. Involve him in the storyline of Scorpion AND Sub-Zero, the MK icons. I don't think he deserves to be an important character, but that's my hangup.

It might just be the small stick growing instantly into a glowing staff ala Star Wars combined with the very unfitting fighting stance that bothers me...

I think, If the full bo staff would have looked too awkward during gameplay because of its size....than keep it as a thin air weapon. It worked fine in UMK3.

So... what happens when Noob does his X-Ray move on a masked Ninja? Are their masks going to seep vomit to the point of bursting? Are the ninjas going to suffocate in their own vomit?

I'unno, I actually rather like the fact that it's extendable.

Everyone keeps making comparisons to lightsabers or Goku, but what it reminds me of is Gambit, and I always loved the way he fought with his extending staff.

I mean we haven't seen Jade's stick grow to unusual sizes like Goku's does. It just goes from handheld to a normal quarterstaff.

All the male ninjas' masks have vents (Including Sektor and Cyrax's...and yes, they do still have stomachs. Cyborg, not Robot.), so that shouldn't be a problem.

It's Jade here (and Kitana and Mileena) who look the weirdest puking.

Overall color and the mask is fantastic.. But WTF man! I don't want Havik!!!

The look is clearly based off his MK4 appearance. Havik was actually going to be Noob Saibot before he became Havik, you know. That design was originally Noob's.

Well, I can tell you one thing- if he makes it in the game and is the same MKT/MKA mashup that Noob is... you will be impressed. Don't have any clue what look they would give him, but he and Noob had my favorite moves in all of MKT, and I've had a similar respect for both of them since then.
It's almost like they just said "aww, fuck it!" and gave them the most ridiculously powerful moves of all. They were both god-tier at first- Noob thanks to the Disabler, and Rain thanks to the infinite Power Roundhouse glitch. Rain may not *look* as awesome as Noob, but his moves are even more fun, IMO. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: this Noob trailer gives me utter confidence they can make Rain a fighter I love at *least* as much as I did in MKT. If he follows this precedent, expect to gain a lot more respect for Rain

And I personally speak for Bezou everywhere when I say that if Havik was permanently merged into the Noob Saibot character, I would be quite pleased.

Besides all that, if you look at his clothes in this game, other than the hood, he's actually pretty obviously wearing a cross between his Deception costume and Sub-Zero's MK9 shirt.

Funny how this character was one I never really cared about but after seeing this video over and over again I can't wait to take him for a spin. I got MvC3 today and played it a few times but just can't get into it because I keep thinking of how much better MK looks lol.

Noob looks sweet gameplay wise. Looks hella hectic though, I doubt I'd be able to play well as him...

Not a huggge fan of his new look. I must admit I totally had the hots for his alternate in deception, where his arms were bare. I know it's cooler that his skin is black too and such.... but for some reason... *blush*

I like the idea of the hood but I'm just not feeling the way it sits. Doesn't feel like an ominous hood to me... just a sort of... hobo hood...


I love that Jade carries her staff in hand all the time, would make for some awesome looking moments and moves.

Like her look too, but it looks wayyyy too... Iunno...... It just looks like a halter top to me. Love the criss cross (fave part about the girl ninjas) and such but I just think it's missing a little something. Oddly enough, I see this one and think "why isn't that falling off" and yet DON'T think that about Mileena's...
Mileena's to me is like.... it's so clearly fantasy. She's a toothy bitch with a gravity defying outfit.... but the cut of Jade's cuts way too close to what my drag queen friend wore out last weekened and I know she wouldn't have been able to fight in THAT haha. Logically I shouldn't have a problem with it but meh. Who's ever logical in this day and age.



The arena looks great.... for once I think I'll actually be excited to play in certain locations.

Well duh.. thats why they went the other route and made Havik. That why i didn't bash Noob Saibot Deception look. Because, he was more his look than the one trailer showed.

MK4 route based on his ALT! not his main.. Also based on a Deception Concept that envoled Hoodies as well

I think it's kinda funny people with a weak stomach make up a moral reasons for puke not to be in a game. Puke is hilarious. Puke from violence is even more hilarious.

Seriously man? I think he looks great. If his new look resembled his deception outfit, some people would no doubt be complaining that he needs a new outfit. Thats pretty much what happened when ermac was revealed. At least his new look sort of resembles mk 1 sub zero.

.....I squeled like a giddy school boy, and I don't even care much for Noob (except his involvment with Sub-Zero). I especially loved that victory pose! OH! And I'm incredibly excited that they KINDA went with my idea for his X-Ray!

I want to address the good things about him....

Glad to see black hole, teleport and shadow clone back. Love the wicked X-Ray move and fitting
Not sure what to think of the projectal move. Was it an energy blast? its not an ice attack.

Eventually i will get to him.. but for now i can't help but to feel let down.

Aside from the obvious praise for Noob Saibot and his gameplay, I'm very pleased with all of the sound effects. For instance, I like how each character has several grunts and screams, each seeming to reflect on the blow received. Sindel's scream around 0:40 seconds got a chuckle out of me. In particular, I enjoyed hearing all of the sci-fi sounds from Ermac's special in this scene:



Can't wait to piss off my neighbors in April.
