This is true, and I understand that. My stance earlier was simply that Raiden, whose powers are completely based off of lightning (being the god of all of that and thunder, and whatnot) should ideally be the only person using electricity. It pissed me off when Nightwolf used lighting for his fatality in MK3, and it pissed me off when Rain used this in MKT. I know the move's Rain's, but dammit, I still don't think even after all these years, anyone should have lightning attacks but our resident thunder god.

I can see your point, I'm surprised Raiden didn't get that ability before anybody else, though I appreciate Rain's as I've always seen him as a master of storms and water.
The only thing is though if they limited specific abilities to one character, we'd be missing out on a ton of wonderful characters.

Because my own laptop is fucked, and have been waiting for it to arrive fixed for a month now. I was over at my moms, who's computer freezes up every fuckin minute after start up.
I'm using my grandma and grandpa's computer right now, I usually use theirs in the mean time. And soon I will only be limited to a fucking TV because I have to sit at my dads house and babysit him while he's recovering from his knee surgery.

I thought "fucking awesome, certainly fits the occasion!".
Yeah, not so awesome. The power went out!

So I've been sitting in the house for hours on end with no internet, lights, or air conditioning. The power FINALLY got back on.
Anyway, OMG. My undies are so sticky right now.
Rain looks AMAZING! The water! The bubbles! OMG!
THAT WIN POSE? OMG OMG OMG OMG!
He's one of the few characters that has a classic win pose!
I got chills!
To the haters I must ask- You mad?

Despite several artistic depictions of his moves, Scorpion's abilities have little to do with fire; the only fire-based attacks he ever had were his Fire Breath in MK4/Gold and the new Hellfire thing, which is more like him summoning fire from Hell as opposed to making it himself (I'm ignoring stuff like Shaolin Monks if he has any fireballs or whatever). Aside from some flashy explosions, his abilities are not really fire-based. Heck, when I think of fire, I'm more inclined to think about Liu Kang, not Scorpion.

At least he got his Super Roundhouse Kick back, along with his Lightning Bolt and Mind Control Orb AND especially his MKT victory pose. So nostalgic!

Anyways, I never did really get full into details about what I thought of this character since I did see a good chunk of his moves... The first on that appeared looked splendid, though I am a little wary about the other one with the legs snapping.
I don't appreciate the fact that his lightning move returned as well as that roundhouse kick. Never liked them. Though the moving orb got better, and the others... it moved too fast for me to see what was going on, but I think I'll dig it.
Other than that, I'll see what people think of this character when he comes out. I am not going to buy him immediately when he comes out.
