Match 1: None- wont vote on my own match
Match 2: Shiloh
Match 3: Yamiko
Match 2: Shiloh
Match 3: Yamiko
1. Shiku:
This was tough, but my eventual decision fell to Shiku. Although both of them had stellar character sheets, I was a little upset by the portrayal of Hotaru in Ail's biography, I felt it was slightly out of character and understanding for the general who I feel would simply kill any Chaosrealmer on sight. For both characters, I was a little confused as to why they participated in Mortal Kombat, though. I liked the uniqueness of Shiku's arm, a lot.
2. Shiloh:
Well, um obviously, I'm going to vote for myself. That aside, I did like Peterson. However, I felt like he being the only person to not be influenced by Quan Chi's sorcery properly was kind of strange, and not necessarily in a good way. And, I wasn't pleased with the inclusion of Scorpion and Noob Saibot in his biography: I don't like the idea of them working together. That being said, I love his veteran status, I think it's unique, and I would like to see some version of him in Mortal Kombat.
3. Nokan:
This was was also very tough. I was not a fan of the disregard to canon in both characters. Nokan, by killing Rain; and Yamiko, by making Chemnos the former ruler of the Netherrealm, directly before Shinnok, instead of Lucifer (as in the canon). That being said, I loved Yamiko, because the idea of a young girl being possessed by a demon would be a nice entry into Mortal Kombat. But, I ended up siding with Nokan because I felt like his vengeance fit better with the storyline of Mortal Kombat (2011); whereas I felt Yamiko would be better as a boss for a future Mortal Kombat.

1: Shiku
2: Shiloh. One question, though, was Outworld's economy really all that great to begin with? I mean, it was a wasteland filled with barbaric nomads, I thought.

Match 1- Ail
Honestly I thought Shiku has better moves and design, but I can not figure out what was up with his story. And story to me is the most important aspect of this competition.
Match 2: Shiloh
Shiloh was a pretty cool character in my opinion. I like his powers and his design. And overall I'd say nothing about Peterson really fit in in Mortal Kombat. His story, design, taunts, moves, even his name just felt out of place IMHO.
Match 3: Yamiko
My biggest question about Nokan is why? Why would Shao Khan attack the Netherrealm? Why wouldn't Nokan know Shao Khan killed his family when he saw it happen? and Why would Shao Khan want to kill kombatants, especially his own men? I think Nokan needs a lot more work put into his story. I thought Yamiko was a strong character. My only question for her is what her real age is. Why would the Gods choose a sixteen year old as the most concentrated person to house a demon for thousands of years. Maybe she only looks sixteen? I don't know
Anyways good job to all of you and good luck to the winners.

Quite possibly. I was going under the assumption that socially it was very downtrodden, and that aesthetically it was a wasteland, but that economically it was decent. Afterall, why would Shao Kahn continually go to war if it didn't hold some benefit for his people? I could be wrong, but I never thought it was an economy mess (although, I never thought it was particularly amazing economically either).
The point of Shiloh's ending, though, was to actually show Shao Kahn in a good light. Despite the fact that Shiloh was a great fighter, he isn't smart. All brawn, no brains. Shao Kahn, on the other hand, had the best of both worlds, and Shiloh could not duplicate that.

To be honest, I'd never thought about the economics of the Mortal Kombat universe. I liked the ending though. It was indeed a cool twist.

From what I understand about the economy of the realms, koins are free for anyone to pick up from random spots. They also can be used to buy art and videos in graveyards. Punching people will also sometimes produce koins.
I don't know if that's economy that's very healthy
