Well this is shaping up to be one very lopsided round...

And it's gonna be funny seeing 20-30 votes in the 1st and 3rd matches and like 7 in the 2nd match

Now, I will elaborate a little on my voting for this round. THESE ARE NOT MY VOTES, JUST REVIEWS!!!! I VOTED ON PAGE 22!!!!!!!!!!

Match 1: This was a really tough one, almost as tough as Karundi vs. Deon Bordeaux. I liked both characters pretty much equally (and in a good way, not like they were both crap so I couldn't decide). In the end, I felt Kortika was just a little more interesting and original. I mean, it's not often you see a crab-man in a fighting game, and especially one who's not a joke character.

Match 2: I don't care either way on this one, but Snow IS Sub-Zero (don't try to justify it, he IS Sub-Zero).

Match 3 doesn't need an explanation; Neuros wins by a mile.

And it can be pretty taxing reading about Super Special Snowflake #9001. I'm reading a lot of hate for what Ienteredas a 90's era MK joke character, and I didn't know the tournament was supposed to be such serious business

Shingai is a nice character, both characters in that match up were very respectable entries with nice movesets, stories etc. It's awesome that you're taking this in positive stride though and are going to stick around, I really enjoyed your character.

thanks for the vote, and to answer your complaints:

the idea was that he had power of rock. not sure if you're familiar with the rock cycle, but lava (and i was very specific about it being lava and not fire) is basically the same thing as rock at a different temperature. so, technically, it does make sense.

by extension of his powers over rock/minerals, i thought it would also make sense if he's could manipulate his own rocky hands.

as for the "sea-dwelling" part...remember, he wasnt supposed to live in the sea, his race was driven there by the humans.

Match 1- Kortika

Kortika seems like a fusion of other characters in this tournament. His moves remind me of Shoulen, his design reminds me of Krustacean
and his story reminds me of my own character Khibok. And I like all thos guys so I'm voting for you.

Match 2- Revenant

Neither of these guys really appealed to me too much but I think Revenant had more thought put into him so he gets my vote.

Match 3- Neuros

Neuros was my favorite character from the preliminary round and he is one of my favorites in the whole tournament. I found it interesting that your character is an enemy of the Great Kung Lao and my character Khibok was a friend of his. I hope our characters get to meet in the kontest because I don't think that they would get along. It would be third round if it happend, of course I dont evern know if I will make it out of the first round anyways good luck

I'm quite familiar with the rock cycle, and I know what lava is......... While he may not be naturally sea dwelling, he is based on a crab and his people called crustaceans... These are aquatic animals generally speaking, though some live in the mud etc... I simply would have liked some elaboration as to why he has rock/lava powers. Maybe some background information on what his people did before they were forced to live under the sea. I just prefer characters that have powers to have an explanation behind their powers, 'tis all.

Though if you had said he was a sea dwelling crab man who literally makes islands in his spare time, it may have actually been quite interesting. Ancient crab people with earth powers: The explanation behind island formation.

i was trying to keep the bio short, a decision i believe will pay off, as i for one am immediately put off by a bio longer than one paragraph. i'd agree if he was human that i would need to explain his powers. however, as he is a made-up species, no explanation is necessary. same as we dont need an explanation as to why reptile can spit acid and turn invisible, or why sheeva can shoot fireballs or why kintaro/goro can jump 20ft into the air. my character's species can manipulate rock and other minerals.
