1. Torment
I liked both Torment and Karma. However, I felt like Karma doesn't really have a motivation, and her biography leaves a lot to be desired. I liked Torment's purpose, and I loved the spider-ish aspect of him. It is unique, and it ought to really pump up his fighting style.

2. Onyx
Although I loved Zhi; this was an easy decision for me. I love legends, and lores of all kinds, but the Hebrew legend of the golem is one of my favorites! I love his motivation, and I think he has a lot of potential (especially as a sub-boss). Furthermore, I don't agree with the interpretation of the One Being, and the most powerful of the Elder Gods in Zhi's biography (although, otherwise, he was very unique).

3. Khibok
I never was a huge fan of retcons, but they have their place. But a retcon like this: writing in a brother for Kenshi (with such a similar name) really struck me as odd (and not in a good way). Furthermore, I think that Kevshi was a little too similar to Kenshi for me (he was basically an evil Kenshi). However, I loved the ape-ness that is Khibok. I found him unique and refreshing and a good addition to Mortal Kombat.

Now for a question:
Could somebody post some comments/criticisms about Shiloh. I mean, I know he won his match, but I'd like some comments so I know what I did right and wrong, and so I can improve for the next tournament. Please. (Also, which member of the Council voted against him...I must exact my revenge!)

@Kinetic: I liked Shiloh's storyline alot, being a young warrior trying to prove his worth, and the ending was especially hilarious. I'm also a big fan of Shadowcat from the X-Men, so I liked the use of Intangibility as a power.
I liked pretty much everything, those just stuck out to me the most, good luck in round 2.

Dont sweat it dude, I definately thought it would be closer. One thing I think that hurt yor charachter as a whole was the moves not being very specific, or described enough. Like Ive said before, I did like the idea of remorse Ail had for his actions, cuz u just dont see that in MK, and it was original. Another thing that hurt probly was the skull head, and being associated with Chaos Realm, people automatically think Havik.Your first X ray was basically Quan Chi's too. And not just sayin it, but the story and ending were strong in my opinion. One or two more detailed moves and your character having a face would have been big I think lol. But I see what you were making him menacing and to fit in to the Chaos Realm, so at least it made sense. Good match bud..see you next year?

Match 1: None. Gonna have to leave this blank cuz Shiku goes up against the winner of this one in Round 2.

Match 2: Onyx-Great match up here, but Zhi's bio didnt do it for me. Ending was good tho. And Onyx I feel will be beast.

Match 3: Khibok all day! haa I was feeling this one.

I'll give reviews or explanations of votes on request. And thanks to all who voted for Shiku, I hope I can at least do a little damage in this tourney!

Match 1: Karma. Only slightly though...Torment just reminded me too much of Man-Spider from the Spider-man comics.

Match 2: Onyx.

This one was very hard, as both characters are interesting. I felt Onyx's moves were a little more interesting though. Also, Zhi's ending had a great twist...unfortunately, it goes against canon with him being the one who says "He must win", as we see Armageddon Raiden saying this as he sends the message back in time.

Match 3: Khibok. Very cool and interesting character. Kevshi just seemed like an evil Kenshi.

Any way to know in advance who the next characters competing will be? I want to see when my character will compete :)

Its supposed to be the reason Raiden says "He must win" is because that is when Zhi enters him, or in other words, the whole reason Raiden can even change time or know what is going is because Zhi gave him his powers.

I thought it would be cool to explain something that NRS never did, how Raiden could change time when he is the god of thunder, while also giving some cannon to MK vs DC, and leave it open so that there is a time powered character for the next game so that even the events of mk9 could be considered an alternate reality and the story could go anywhere.
