Kung Lao

They are 2 klassics with very distinctive abilities and looks, I like them a lot, and I'll go with Baraka to encourage him and give him a chance for future games.
He is also among the characters that tend to be close range fighters, which add diversity in a world of projectiles ...
Fighting games need henchman type like this or Reptile.
Even visually, he truly looks like a MK fighter.

I preferred Baraka MK2 or MK9 face though.

My favorite thing about Kung Lao is the brotherly rivalry between him and Liu, but that's about it. Oh and the hat of course. Gameplay wise though he's never been my cup of tea.

Baraka has always struck me as one of the most imposing MK characters. Especially in MK2 & MKD. His classic impale fatality left quite an impression on me. Simple, yet, effective and very gruesome. I was glad to see he wasn't left out of MKX completely.

So I vote Baraka. I'm more committed to him as a character and I've been a fan of his longer. Liked Baraka since his first appearance and I didn't come around to Kung Lao until MKSM.

Damnit, why'd it have to be Kung Lao? Why couldn't Baraka draw Meat or someone like that? lol

Oh well, to be honest, Baraka's a lot like Reptile to me now. He's had so many opportunities to be a better character, yet he's perpetually stuck in lackey-land. I thought that MKD was going to be his big resurgence, but no. Not so much.

The way he went out in MKX only further nailed down to me the fact that they'll never do anything with him. I could talk about how cool it'd be if he came back as this sort of Netherealm dark Tarkatan, with black eyes and a black hood and cloak and all out for himself.

But the realist in me knows that he'd just be Liu Kang / Kitana's lackey. No thanks.

As much as Kung Lao fell off for me in MKX, as much as his variations did nothing for me and as much as he felt like wasted roster space, I still couldn't fault anyone for picking him.

I picked Baraka because he's my favorite and has been since MK2. I just wish that NRS liked him half as much as I did.

Picked Takeda because Reptile stinks.. Literally.

Picked Scorpion because he finally got his revenge and can move on.

Picked Kung Lao because reasons.

This was tough to me but i chose Kung Lao.

With that said, however, Baraka looked fucking amazing in MKX. By far, imo, his best character model they've ever done. He looks fucking frightening.

Now this was a tough one. I like both of them and actually just started messing around with Lao in this game but I have to vote Baraka, I have always liked the guy, his retractable arm blades were the coolest things to me as a kid lol

Baraka is cool, but Kung Lao has been a favorite of mine the whole series. I don't think I've ever disliked how Lao played. Both, have nice designs. Baraka has a more interesting backstory, mostly because he's apart of a unique race. Lao has had more development and involvement with the overall plot.

I pick Kung Lao because of my bias. They both are great characters of the series.

Two staples of the series but with a great look and weapon gimmick.Tough choice but the first post said to consider their latest involvement. While Kung Lao served his purpose as lackey, Baraka's short scene and death hammered in the point that it was out with the old and in with the new for villains. He gets my vote.

Baraka. Even though he went out like a punk (for now?). His design this game is pretty badass.

I hate Kung Lao with a passion (although he's somewhat tolerable in MKX).

Baraka gets my vote.

Well, Mileena has been my second favorite character next to Kitana ever since MK 2. I like D'Vorah also, but was pissed she killed Mileena in the story mode. So Mileena gets my vote

D'Vorah was so badass in MKX. I was never a huge fan of Mileena, but then in MKX I loved her. I have to go with D'Vorah because she impressed me in her debut while it took Mileena years.

D'Vorah is a good concept and haven't played her enough to fully appreciate, but she ain't no Milly.

Couldn't decide between KL and Baraka so abstained.

Love them both! It is really hard for me to choose . Mileena and D'vorah are the only playable evil ones in MKX. Furthermore their moves are fantastic yet I have to choose, and my vote goes to Mileena !

D'Vorah she manages to be terrifying, sexy, and cunning all in under 5 seconds. Great new addition to the MK universe.
