Lei Mei can and would take out all other MK females except for Sindel. Why? Because Sindel is the best-ever female in MK History!

I'm with you on that. I'd put Hsu Hao ahead of her as far as Deadly Alliance characters are concerned.

Voted Ashrah as she has a interesting enough concept to possibly appear in MKX and in the future while adding something a little unique.

Because she used sais?? That's the only similarity. Lots of people fight with sais.

Meanwhile, Ashrah had similar moves and design to Raiden, and she was yet another minion of the Brotherhood of Shadows, so I'd argue she's more a copy of an existing character...

Li Mei was first created with the intention of it to be Mileena, but instead was turned into a new character. Even her name derives from Mileena's.

And she has more similarities than just the sais. Black hair and purple clothes for instance.

What he said is true. Tanya was created with the intention to be Kitana, but in the games they're both in, they aren't similar at all, just like Lu Mei is completely different from Mileena now.

I vote for Li Mei, she had the best moves/gameplay/etc in the 3D games and i like that they greatly developed the character from DA to Armageddon, unlike 90% of the MK4-MKA characters.

Is this a joke? Li Mei was hands down one of the better developed characters from the 3D era, whereas Ashrah only got interesting in MkA with her Nitara rivalry. And she is nothing like Mileena, other than the sais she used in DA and the purple color. So shallow.

I don't know about Lei Mei but I think Li Mei has a shot to beast Sindel.
This one was close one for me, but I chose Li Mei. But I do believe Ashrah should be in the sequel (if it is indeed a sequel) over Li Mei.

He's bringing that up because of your Li Mei criticism that she was supposed to be a Mileena design, yet you don't nitpick on Tanya for the same reason.

Saying that Li Mei was supposed to be Mileena and thus they have some similarities is not criticism. It's facts. There's a difference. I never implied or said that Li Mei isn't her own character now. There is absolutely no reason to be this defensive.

Tanya was supposed to be Kitana in MK4, but turned into her own character as well, the same that happened with Li Mei, however, Tanya is not relevant to this conversation, as the topic at hand is Li Mei and Ashrah. To bring Tanya into the discussion can only be seen as a weak attempt to somehow upset me, as the persons above seems to have gotten upset with me just stating facts about Li Mei. Seems very childish to me.
It's like if I said "Scorpion is yellow" and someone tried to counter-attack me by saying "TANYA IS YELLOW TOO!!!", as if that would offend me. XD

There's no source to that because it's NOT true. Li Mei may had been created/put into MKDA to fill Mileena's spot or whatever, but she was always her own character and Mileena was NEVER intended to be in MKDA.

Whereas Tanya, WAS Kitana early in MK4's development.

Yeah, just gonna vote for Li Mei. I like them both really, but I dig Li Mei a little more than Ashrah. I still want both of them in MKX.

That's strange 'cause I swear I've seen you get defensive and attack someone's character on how stale they were. But I still don't know about this 'fact' that Li Mei was originally going to be Mileena. And even if that was the case, she's clearly nothing like Mileena.

Plus the "Tanya is yellow too" argument is not even close to the same thing. You brought up the part about Li Mei, but Tanya has a similar case. So I was just trying to figure out why it's okay for to shoot down one and accept the other. Heck, even Havik was supposedly going to be Noob Saibot.
