That's like a hometown team winning a superbowl, or a heisman trophy. Yea the team was great that year. But now they got a new coach, and suck hard. You guys don't find the whole idea of snapping batmans spine apealing? Stomping on Supermans head? Gutting Captain America? If it allows me to splatter dc characters to bits than this is everythig i have ever dreamed of when i was younger.

You guys don't even have to play the DC characters, because lets face it they are poor design, and rather camp looking. But 1 thing i have to admit Batman looks the fucking beez neez in that picture. I for one thing am eager to see how this game will work out.

Unfounded support is as detrimental to a series as unfounded venom. Real patriots ask questions, and it isn't unreasonable at all to expect negativity from a fanbase that, despite this being the worst kept secret in gaming, were hoping for a new installment in their favourite franchise.

MK's always struggled to compete with gaming mechanics and logics that were far superior in other games, so the story and concept has arguably been MK's greatest asset. A licensed crossover is always going to be, for the most part, inconsequential to the continued story in games, so of course people are going to be miffed.

And it's a lot harder to excuse a Tekken Tag Tournament this late into the life of the consoles. So while there may be technical benefits to be seen in the next "real" game, it's going to be a bitter pill to swallow for those keyed into the MK logic.

The problem isn't a "this is better than that" problem.

The problem is MK is ancient chinese mysticism, where as DC is urban science fiction. How do you combine those two worlds?

I understand mick. I know ALOT of people are pissed. I'm not saying views, and opinions, should change because of my beliefs. I'm just stating from a visual standpoint, i love what i see. YES, MK is all about fighting. But if this is a change to the series, it's something unique, coming from midway at any rate. I'm just saying, I'm a long time devoted fan of MK in general. Not just the games. So when i have a passion for something i don't just give up or walk away from it. Like most others do. I'm sorry this game isn't what YOU WANTED. But it's something I'm defiantly willing to give a chance.

you may not fully abandon them, but you certainly dont pay for tickets, or make bets for a team you know is gonna lose.

support is one thing, but blind idiotic loyalty to something different. theres a big difference between buying a mk game because you psyched and you know its gonna be great (and that hasn't happened since mkda) and going out and buying just because of the name....

thats not supporting the team.

support would be telling them what sucks and what doesn't so they don't release turd after turd. and try to actually make the series better and respectable again.

thats why they don't care, and crap like this happens. because they know that at the end of the day, no matter how shitty their games are, they can still bank on people that buy based on "loyalty"

I hear ya man. But not even mine, nor you're vouch to make MK better will change there minds. If it had MKA would of never been as broken as it was. Check made videos to show midway there faults, Mastermalone showed written paper of stuff that needed to be fixed. Midway does as pleases. I don't commend them for what they do wrong. I just can't help my fanboy status. But believe me, i would love balance in the games just as much as the next person.

At first I was thinking this idea is weird, but heck, after Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter, I can accept a MK Vs. DC title as well.

Hopefully we don't just get Heroes. It would be great to have characters such as Bane or Killer Croc in this.

well, appearently you take a dying franchise, remove everything that made it stand out, mix in a bunch of comic book characters, make it a vs title, and hope all the little 10 year olds will buy it because you just pissed off most of your fanbase.

thats what im saying tho...it takes more then mere words. if you know whats up with it, then dont buy it. if you stop supporting their wallet, they'll start to open their ears, or be out of a job. i could show them 1,000 videos and it wouldnt matter, cause im just one man. if all these people that say they arent gona get the game, really dont, then midway will get the message and wise up.

if your saying "there won't be any fatalities", i would like to see your sources of evidence. Because as far as i am concerned when Boon said "the next game will be dark and gritty" too me that means it's going to be very dark and gory.

If boon has lied about the game being dark and gritty, then all i can say is they have opted out of my £40. On the other hand like i said being able to shit on batman definately sounds apealing. I definately think the game will have gore and fatalities, it's the mortal kombat way, if DC didn't agree to it i don't think boon would have bent over for them to let them have there own way, do you?
