As a fair observer, I will go ahead and say I agree with the guys who say this game will never work. Rated T for Teen? This sounds like this game is marketed for teens. Why? Pressure from the higher ups. And BTW, why would you wait for MK9???? How do you know it won't be MK VS Something else??

I can't say I'm shocked. A 'MK vs. (fill in a name here)' game was pretty much guaranteed in X-Box Magazine 2 years ago. I simply assumed the unknown game would be Street Fighter or Tekken.

As others have said, I echo their views: I like MK and I like DC, but they simply won't go well together... especially if the game is watered down.

Will be very interesting to see the storyline (if there is one).

Maybe this is just a filler game with no real story, just to get the MK name to the next-gen systems.

I just hope they have not taken the 'Mortal Kombat' out of Mortal Kombat. It's the do or die for next-gen fighting games for Midway.

From the rumours around, it certainly doesnt seem like it could be 'dark'.
Being an avid MK fan for 15 years now, i hope I don't have to bury those good memories I have.

But...let's see what happens.

To be honest, that’s my thoughts as well.As much as I wanted to see the new MK with a whole new cast, I view this as a once in a lifetime chance. It is surreal, I'm really looking forward to what's next.This almost has to be a one time only deal, so I might as well enjoy it.
