Wow. I haven't posted here since before Deception came out (lifelong MK fan, but very disappointed with the last-gen efforts). Like everyone else here, I was expecting so much from the noobDOTcom countdown, and even though there was speculation of a MK vs DC game somewhere in the future, deep down inside I still thought MK would return to its dark roots.

I've never been a fan of the MK storyline or anything like that; I've been a fan of the game itself.

MK IS DEAD......

There is no way they can make superman look good and go with the game.

I hope the MK-Team will see this thread and decide to cancel this game, but if its too late to cancel which I think it is, then atleast leave out superman. Why its not like im going to buy the game, why is b/c I dont even want to by mistake see a pic of superman fighting a MK character.

This is about as lame as Mortal Kombat VS Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Ive been a fan since 93 when my arcade store in the mall got MK1. Ive been obsessed with the Mortal Kombat franchise ever since. And even though MK:DA, MK:D and MK:A weren't that great, I still played them and grown to make myself like them. I have every Arcade MK1, MK2, MK3, UMK3 and MK4 in my home installed this the latest version. I also have MAME running all the other MK versions. I have the home console MK games on every system release. I bought a house with a second living room so I could turn it into a Mortal Kombat game room. I wouldn't say Im the #1 fan as I dont have all the toys and comic books, but Im up there. And this game just sickens me.

This shows us diehard mk fans that Ed Boon really doesn't care about us. He doesn't care that we pour thousands of dollars into this MK franchise that in turn fattens his pockets. They say dont bite the hand that feeds you, but he just fuckin bite our hand off and swallowed guys.

I keep trying to tell myself this will work out but fuck no it wont. DC characters are lame, nerdy and for little kids and with them in the game just makes the whole mortal kombat world seem lame and gay as well. Ive always looked at Mortal Kombat as realistic and an adult story line and game. Not anymore.

Im never going to buy this game, and its going to be really hard to keep from selling all my mortal kombat games. I cant believe I wasted so much time in my life on Mortal Kombat to be this disapointed and ashamed.

Not only is Midway done but more importantly the Mortal Kombat Franchise is done, we will probably see 1 more game after this in attempt for the mk-team to try to bring us all back but it will be to late and Mortal Kombat will be done. And Discarded like Killer Instinct.

I suggest nobody buy this game that is a true MK fan, if you buy this game they will continue to make VS titles which will disgrace our Mortal Kombat games even more.

How many of you guys saying you'll boycott and not play the game actually going to follow through with this? Because, honestly, something tells me this is all just the 24 hour shock period talking. Once the dust settles you'll all be talking about whether or not Noob is back just like every other game.

The only difference now is that we won't have 100 threads asking about fatalities. Probably a good thing, I'd say. Give more time to talk about important things. Like a grapple system worth a damn.

it turns my stomach to see these combination of names throw together like this, it just takes everything that's ever been special about mk and just discards it. now we're left with a commercialized husk that was once a great franchise.

Im just going to wait and see what they do with the characters and storyline, it could end up quite a good story and game...i have been a fan for about 19 years and yes im totally shocked to hear that they are pairing up with DC because to me it is the most unlikely pair....but im not putting it down yet and boycotting...
