Well I'm new here as well as a Gaymer lol Cute word nonetheless but my favorite character is Jade because she has cool moves and she's fierce as hell! I loved her ever since MK2 I was sad I couldn't play as her :( Her staff is so fitting for her I love how it glows purple some times I wish it glowed most the time! Also I love her costumes my favorite is her MK Deception Alt look with the pigtails! I also love her Girls Gone Wired ad she had!!! Damn she's so gorgeous and so pretty. I also find her story to be interesting and unique! I love her loyalty as well as attitude! I've always wanted her to be evil however!

Rain is my favorite male character because he's sexy to me damn he's fine! Also cause I love his color and his moves kick ass his super roundhouse owns all! Also he was the first person I beat Trilogy all the way through with then Jade! :) So therefore these two will always have a special place in my heart! I cry because I wish they would add Rain in more games it's not fair how he gets treated! Ugh!

I've always preferred the female characters, but lately I've been finding myself picking Johnny Cage over everyone. Probably because I've turned into a real asshole. Plus the nut punch is great in MK2.

I think Sindel is probably my favorite, but Sonya and Kitana have always been my go-to girls. Jade, too. It really depends on my mood which character I'll pick.

But she's a shithouse performer (if you can call her that), an average singer and it's laughable to try and think she's had more of an effect on her own career than her handlers.

Brit has her place, but she's superseded by other, more talented artists. Not necessarily in sales, but certainly in prestige as an artist.

Hold up now I know we're talking about MK but I love me some Britney! Britney slays and talent is in the eyes of the beholder she's been going hard now for over 12 years!

In terms of artistic sensibility, at least Britney can afford to:
A) not be an attention whore who wears meat dress/impractical shit
B) Write songs without the use of alliteration
C) afford producers to make songs that don't sound like other people's songs.

And Brit's had more input on what songs become singles than any other artist of her caliber.

Britney is the new Queen of Pop, even Madonna realized this and that's why she personally chose Britney first for the 2003 VMAs. Haters keep on trying to knock the girl down, but she's proved her icon status is not a fluke.

Brit's "input" is limited at best. Her name's been tacked onto the odd single as a writing credit, and after this long of buying her records I'm yet to see one iota of evidence to suggest she has anything beyond the most limited of musical talent. More than me? Yes certainly. Enough to be successful? Hellz yeah.

But to sit there and try and compare her artistically to Gaga, someone who, hate her or love her
- sings on her own tours
- writes the vast vast vast majority of her songs in their entirety
-has complete creative control of herself
- has never been a slave to her manager/family
- has never been a trainwreck victim to the sad celebrity machine (Brit having all my sympathies on that front)

Britney as the queen of anything is laughable if she can't sing on her own tours. I'm sorry but that's just the most basic of requirements to be a SINGER of artistic merit. Her old excuse of "my dancing's too crazy" is hardly applicable when her dancing has slipped.
Madonna, Gaga, Kylie, Christina, Pink.. They ALL dance, and yet they ALL sing on their tours. Why can't Britney? I know she CAN. So why doesn't she? Until she stops disrespecting her fans, she isn't worthy of the title "queen", no matter what lil ol Madge said at the VMAs... in 2003 -_-

You also apparently seem to be missing the whole point of Gaga if you can't even understand her outfits. Nothing about them is being "attention whore" (well maybe a little), but that you have to bring up practicality shows a certain lack of understanding. She's a pastiche, a parody. That she apes and pays homage to those who've come before her is crucial. Anyone screaming she's a copier or something has totally missed the boat.

I have to admit that I had no idea there were so many "gaymers" (love that term BTW) who enjoyed MK. In fact, I had assumed quite the opposite. I'm straight, but I'm really glad we've got such a diverse group of people on this site. Most of my favorite gamin characters are dudes, but occasionally I like to kick some ass with Kitana and Mileena.

Well this thread had officially blown my mind just on the fact that it seems I'm part of the minority of straight guys on this site and I think that is pretty cool.

I like that we can all talk civilized and just talk about MK without letting things like this get in the way. It just shows we are a strong diverse community.
