Ok maybe I exaggerated a little ;) but I think its the deep lines above her eyebrows which look a bit too severe in my opinion, dont get me wrong I think its a beautifully renderd pic.
Ultimately and sadly I'm just not loving her "new" look, I still think they were too rigid with keeping it too close to her mk3 look, if there were ever a character that could use embellishments its Sindel! Having said that I love her tails.

I'm gay. Love the guys WOO HOO!!!

This is my all time favorite gaming franchise. It is because of ONE thing and that is the AMAZING story! I was loving it from day one and addicted with MKII. As soon as Kitana and Mileena came around and I saw Khameleon and Chameleon and read the stories and got MK Trilogy and played Rain I was SO in love with the story line. The whole Edenian Realm got me hooked and I still think it is the best storyline in the continuum.

Here is my list of the characters I LOVE in the MK Mythos of Games!!

Kitana - Favorite Storyline and subsequently love anyone attached to her.

Mileena (not sure I"m gonna like the new take on their story since they were "twins" and then we find out that Mileena was all NASTY and EVIL. Kinda hard to do now that they dont look anything alike.

Jade - LOVE HER and way under-used in this game!!

Sindel - perfection for a queen. I started playing her in MK3 and barely picked anyone else....and she FLEW!!

SHEEVA - how boss is she? NOT sexy but strong and brutal. Her connection/hatred toward Motaro was and excellent storyline making her not so faithful to Shao Kahn.

RAIN - I found him in MK Trilogy and was lovin it. Water based powers, purple color, that Lightning Bolt Move. His storyline being again attached to the DIVA Kitana!!! I loved it that he was from Edenia and was still mysterious....GOOD....EVIL....we didn't really know.

ERMAC - HOW AMAZING IS ERMAC?!?!?!? He's like the BORG in one person!!!! NUFF SAID!!

NOOB SAIBOT - NOT sure I like the "I was the old Sub Zero" story but it is what it is and I think he kicks butt!!!!

RAIDEN - Dark Raiden only please. I don't like the good one.

REPITLE - he is just SO versatile in his story and look...you gotta love him

SHANG TSUNG - ONLY got better with each game!! He reminds me of Cobra Commander in his lack of being able to accomplish a task, but he did kill that little bitch Liu Kang (HATE HIM)

SHAO KAHN - KICK ASS as a boss, sucky as a playable character.

GORO - YES YES YES!! I liked him playable and as a boss. I thought he was well played in the storylines!!

SMOKE - Loved him PRE-NOOB bonding!

CYRAX - he is amazing and has a great storyline with Subby and Makes Subby interesting.

SEKTOR - I like him more because he has Missles...is his the only face we have never seen?

MOTARO - COMPLETELY different than ANY other character! I like him lots!!

FUJIN - I was aching for the gamers to replace that lil girl Raiden and thought they finally did, but then we never saw him again. BRING HIM BACK!!

QUAN CHI - Probably my favorite Evil Guy! I love the storyline and how as time went on he just had MORE AND MORE to do with everything.

REIKO - I want more from him. He's kinda hot and mysterious.

SHINNOK - VERY BAD ASS as a "above it all" kinda boss. he needs to kick more butt!!!

TANYA - I always felt she looked like Jennifer Lopez and Kitana mixed and I didn't like her as a playble character. Her storyline was great at first...then kinda got boring.

FROST - I like her, I was hoping with her in the game that Subby might get the big death.

KENSHI - OH YES YES YES!! He was my fav for Deadly Alliance and made the game a blast!!

LI MEI - Didn't think I'd like her but then I played her and LOVED playing as her. The story was good but could have been better.

NITARA - I liked biting people with her! FUN FUN! The Wings coulda been ommited.

ONAGA - VERY FUN BOSS! EXCELLENT STORY!!!

MONSTER - STORYLINE CHARACTER FROM MK DECEPTION. He was really interesting.

Daegon and Taven - GREAT idea for a story that I felt was put in an OVERCROWDED Game. TRY AGAIN!!!



OK so those are my favorite Characters in the games! All others are disposable to me. OR Need to be revamped.

I have also noticed that the gays always seem to pick the girls! I have always done and so has my husband!

Like it's already been said its more interesting and fun to see a sexy skanky bitch kick some ass than some beefed out guy. And its the closest thing we can get to being a woman! LOL! no gays aren't always trannys haha.

Lara Croft is also a very very big gay icon!

Anyway back to MK. I have always loved Kitana since her debut in MK2. I didnt like her as much in MKDA because of her look, outfit and hair. Black granny panties, thunder thighs and a stupidly long weird braid thing for hair just didnt do it for me! I kinda switched over to the dark side with Mileena since deception, she was amazing, i loved her look! Her look in the new game looks better than kitanas again, although Kitana looks alot better, no stupid hair and granny panties this time! I prefere when they both have MK2 long straight black hair, although I do quite like mileenas bob cut.
I HATED that in MKA kitanas main costume was unmasked! Sorry but it just isnt kitana without her ninja mask!

For male characters I would probably say sub zero in the older games but ever since he was made to look grey and older and unmasked i prefered scorpion!

I didn't feel like creating new thread for my question, so I decided to put it here.

Anyway, here is the scoop.
Somewhere in october or november of the past year, there was a rumor about interview that Ed Boon gave to the japanese magazine Famitsu. In that interview he said that they want to introduce gay character to the MK series in the MK9. He also said that it wasn't new character for the series, but rather this particular character was created with being gay in mind, but in the midnineties they wasn't able to show that this character was gay.

The rumor about this interview (and it's content) originated somewhere in the closed Russian MK community in one of the social networks. Since I hate social networks I couldn't ask anyone whether this rumor was true or not. So far I couldn't find any confirmation that this interview truly exist. None of the fan sites reported about it and I never saw any rumors about this. Personally I believe that this information was a hoax. And pesonally I always found it strange that Famitsu would be interested in the MK series.
But maybe some of the MKO members heard something about it?

Really? I've never heard about this before.

Personally, I think they should simply keep sexual preferences out of the game and focus on what's important for Mortal Kombat. However, should there be any MK character I would want to be gay, it would have to be Reiko. He would definately not be a stereotypical gay guy. If there's something that would piss me off, it would be NRS putting some pink dude into the game who is extremely effeminate and such.

That said, I have nothing against effeminate guys in video games (Ash Crimson from King of Fighters is my favourite character of that series), but it wouldn't fit into the world of MK at all...

As Jaded Raven, i think that sexuality should be excluded from MK, there is no need for that. In every MK we found bios in where we are told what the charachter's are doing, not they whole life, so there is no need for that.

IF they did it i think that it should be as a minor thing, and should not change the charachter's presonalities.

That said, i could see Rain, Taven, and Reiko being gay. I see Rain as someone who would have both boys and girls in his Haren, and i wouldn't be surprised if Taven or Reiko did the same thing. I also think that Kenshi could be gay, but i'm not completely sure about it.

Those four you mentioned there are probably the most likely ones to be gay, if anyone.
