It counts the more the merrier, now tell us about your favorite male and female characters, is it Kitana? it`s kitana isn`t it?

I just joined this site because I am a huge Mortal Kombat fan and I came to the site all the time just to find out the latest news but now that I see a forum [ don't ask why I haven't seen it until just now lol ] but I decided to join and jump on this topic.

I am a gaymer and I have to noticed a lot that when people online [ Xbox Live or Playstation Online ] people underestimate you as a gay gamer and think you are just weak. When people find that I am gay and they can talk all that trash, I just laugh because when I own them they will think twice about underestimating me.

As far as my favorite characters in Mortal Kombat, my favorite female character is Mileena. I loved her since Mortal Kombat 2 and haven't stopped. I just love her angle in the game and I love the moves they give her and with sick and twisted fatalities, you can't help but love her. I think I am one of the few people who really don't care for Kitana. I feel like she is such a generic character and she's just boring. I like Jade too but for me she's complicated to use. Maybe in this new one I'll give her another try.

My favorite male character is probably Cyrax only because his badass combos and fatalities. He is one of the faster guy characters and the only one who really interests me.

Well my favorite male is Smoke and I really hope that the picture in question is him. I'm so glad that Smoke became human again. After what they did to him in Deception. I don't really trust another Cyber Smoke storyline. Even the nanite thing bugged me.

As for female. I like Sheeva the best. I love monster girls and mohawks (My mom and dad were punkers, so I grew up with woman with mohawks). She never got much storyline, but I did like she was willing to sacrifice everything for her people.

Probably Johny Cage. Why? Because if you were any of the other MK warriors there would be a lot of sacrifices, a lot.

I feel you about Kitana. Since MKII she's become such a bland hero character plot-wise. Mileena and Sindel have so much more going for them in terms of story and design. I love evil MK women!

You're not the only one who doesn't care about Kitana. I never really warmed up to her as well...It's just that I find her extremely boring and uninspired, especially in the latest games.

I'll be the break in the chain and say that I love Kitana! There's too much Kitana hate *rahter 'not like'*. I think she's a cool character, and this new installment has the potential of making her awesome again. I've only heard her say one thing, but *judging from the one line* I love her voice actress. I love her costume, I love her new fan design and her animations...

I've always liked Kitana as a character, though not the way they presented her in the later games as the damsel in distress. I liked the fact that she became a strong, independent woman, fighting her past and saving Edenia, ruling it as their princess. And I'd like for her to stay that way instead of being a poor little girl who is Princess Peach the sequal...

Gameplay wise, she's always been my second choice.

I totally agree with everything you said *except gameplay, she's my main!* I'm hoping they leave that damsel crap behind for the future installments, it's getting kinda stale

I love Kitana, so I hate what MK9 does with her. I'll leave it at that.

I actually like what's going to happen to Kitana. It opens a whole new path for her and it is quite unexpected. I can't wait to see where they'll be going with this. ^^

I out of the entire MK universe I'd would be Rain or Reiko...they always seem to have secrets somewhat and Reiko has a thing for masks and wearing shao kahns helmet. out of this new mk roster I'd have to say Ermac I think.

Is it just me or does Johnny Cage look and sound like reed richards from fantastic 4 movie, I noticed when i was playing the demo, I dont like it at all :(

I loved her in MKDA, her costume, her hair...now she looks like some girl wearing blue. That costume does not look like sth she would wear. And her hair really ruins the whole thing appearance wise her moves are good though!

Ahhhh so this is the amazing Gaymer thread!!! Thanx for bringing me here Jaded!!! This rocks,had no idea there are so many gaymers lol But here goes my faves. Female:Skarlet or whatever they decide to name her :)
Male:Quan Chi

Female: Jade. I've always like this idea of mystery to her. Since she was originally a hidden fighter and then integrated into the series as a regular character, I always feel like I'm being treated when she's announced.

Male: Ermac. Another integrated character. His backstory is pretty original, and his fighting style has always been smooth. I really like the updated look and feel of him.

I guess Ill add my imput being of said demographic. My favorite character is Scorpion, if I had to choose one. Whats intresting about MK is that my favorite character changes and I have a hard time picking just one. I go back and forth between Kitana and Mileena. I also like Jade and Lao. Maybe thats why Ive never been amazing at MK because I cant decide on a character. lol
