That's weird... Normally when I'm playing as my Blood Elf, female of course, everyone just automatically assumes that I'm a guy behind it.

Obviously, girls can't play WoW... what I always hear.

lol most of my female gamer friends love WoW. I know more girls that play it than boys. They're the ones begging me to play lol, but I've been Final Fantasy 12ing it, so...

This logic annoys me.

I'm not like you, Platinumstorm. We apparently share an interest in Mortal Kombat, but even that shared interest is incredibly unstable. You may like some characters, some fatalities, some stages, some gameplay aspects that I find dull or extraneous. Furthermore, our differing interests stem from places outside of Mortal Kombat.

To suggest that MK fans exist in vacuums and that we should unite around our "MK-ness" seems rather naive and silly. 1) As I said, the ways in which we enjoy MK differ wildly, and 2) your enjoyment of MK is mediated through a set of preexisting preferences, distastes, and pleasures that are further developed as you play and experience the game.

So, a thread that addresses the plurality of ways gaymers approach Mortal Kombat is a productive place for discussion. As you can see, it's one of the most successful threads on this forum.

Bottom line--this thread doesn't "segregate" (which I think was a rather poorly chosen word on your part that has a weight of historical racism that has nothing to do with this thread); it invites the discussion of differences and argues that differences are okay. I am not like you, you are not like me, we're one big happy critique of identity politics. :P

I've never played the EX series, but I am a big fan of Poison. She seems like a nice addition to the street fighter cast, it's good to know a transsexual character is widely accepted pre/post op be damned lol. She's very sexy too!
